Can we just admit that blur was big in the 90s but then dropped off the face of the planet? They're no strokes. And Damon is partly to blame with shelving the project. Also, britpop has come and gone. Verve, Oasis gone. Radiohead and Coldplay evolved to remain relevant (the latter being arguable).

It's not THAT common for bands to release such acclaimed albums in a span of more than thirty years - a lot of famous bands haven't even been around that long. Speaking about Albarn´s side project, you probably mean just Gorillaz, rihgt? Because his other sides/solo projects are NOT as sucesfull as Blur itself.
