For example I live in the US but I’m hispanic and my grandmother (she’s the one taking care of me) finished college and became a doctor in our home country. Due to that I’m pressured into being a good kid and having the highest grades possible there’s even times where I don’t sleep at all because I’m staying up at night to study or finish hw. So it’s not just in Asia but other countries I guess you said Asia bc they have some of the highest grades in the world.
This drama is sooo god. It shows reality and it is such an important topic for society, almost everyone struggles with pressure we get from our parents and school. I think it‘s accurate for every country but ofc korea is extreme. I would really like my father to watch this, your position in society or your grades in school do not define you or mean happiness. I just think this drama is so beautiful, perfect and important and the same with bts song that has such a great messages and shows us how teachers turn us into studying machines and that we struggle but people think thats normal when it is not, that we live how others want us to and have no time to fulfill our own dreams.
