Same for me as well😢 there are way too many expectations surrounding me currently and it's so pressuring when u don't have a mental support and you don't wanna disappoint the people around you 😢...it would take a Loooooonnnngggg time for Indians to realise this, and till then there's nothing gonna be made anything even revolving around the same plot lines😑 I don't think so there were any realistic highschool movies even made after 2010🤔... Amongst all the Indian highschool movies that have ever been made, portrays teenagers in the worst possible way😒 they only display the worst case teens in their movies...

Just because it's a drama people think it's exaggerated but for me it's really symbolising the obsession of parents for THE FIRST PLACE .
Almost in every country ..... every parents are gonna make their child crazy for getting admission in the best university . The pressure .....many childs are dying for that no matter how good you are they want more.
I got the acceptance at the best uni on my state, but my mom scolded me bc of the place I got in THE FREAKING PLACE
So true . .So much stress for what? In the end everyone will become a corporate slave with or without a ton of credentials; many kids are missing the real journey, life is worth living for and that it's all that matters.

The only unrealistic thing is how the parents and kids had a change of heart at the end. I don't see that happening in real life.
İ can never forget this drama and this ost... Tbh i watch many kdramas but there are only a few that make into my the best and unforgettable dramas list & SKY CASTLE is one of them... İ mean the story, their acting and suspense almost till the last second of last episode is truly unforgettable...

samruddha tupe its a “goosebump” and touchy feely rhythmic kinda song to me, feels like a diva could performing this song really well on the stage. But the lyrics are too depressing though, it’s too dark to swallow. Ive asked 10 of my friends, they love this song, but only 1-2 would put it on their playlist, the rest said it was too depressing to listen for everyday-playlist. 😂😂😂😂😂❤️❤️💔

@@jeliyahbieber6854 It has a very slow start in my opinion, but it gets deeper and deeper as you go. It’s about how different rich families deal with the extreme social pressure that’s present in Korea to get their kids into top universities, no matter what the cost. The show does an extremely good job in portraying the conflict between “the incredible social pressure to be a certain way: the lies” and “what’s actually going on inside, which in this case is misery: the truth”. I recommend it, even if taken out of the “Korean top universities” context, it’s something that we can all relate to, to a certain extent. Good luck.
1:38 this scene at the end of ep 1 was what kept me watching till the end. Starter plot a bit plain and expectable, then came that scene. I did not regret finished this drama.

I need this show to be compulsory in INDIA .Must watch DRAMA .Instead of saas-bahu drama this speaks the truth of millions of students in India too. I lived the life of Yeo-so and other kids .I topped the school and dropped to write the national medical exam only to remind myself it was not my cup of tea .I failed it 3 times and i am searching for a college now anything would go good for me .

If you want to know a little about what this drama is about , it's about how cruel some parents can be when it comes to studies and how it pressures the child and what can happen if they are over pressured .
I would always go along to this while watching the drama but never realized how deep its lyrics since the only audible part of the lyrics for me was "we all lie"

This drama made me realize that my decision for not being a med student was right. We should do what we want not what our parents want no matter how much they love you. Fortunately I have parents who put child happiness first. Although sky castle was great I really want a drama where they shows that being good at studies doesn't necessarily mean your child wants to be a doctor or he/she should be a doctor. If there's any pls recommend! I would be grateful
I know nothing about this kdrama but watching Dreamcatcher Siyeon's cover of this OST led me here and I cannot say that I regret anything. The tune and the lyrics... so hauntingly beautiful
You should watch the drama, it's one of the best dramas of the recent years! The plot is really unpredictable, and it tackles a lot important topics such as the educational system of South Korea and how the elites can manipulate everything. I won't go into a lot of details, but I firmly believe you should watch the whole series so you can understand what I'm trying to say. It was the most popular K-drama of 2018 and 2019, and held the record for the highest rating for a cable drama (24%) and had 6 million viewers in its final episode. It was extremely popular in South Korea and was constantly trending whenever viewers notice something "off" on an episode. One thing why it was so popular was its theme, dark comedy but infused with suspense and melodrama. I can't put how great this series is in words, so I suggest you give it a chance.

日本版のスカイキャッスルがハマり、アマプラで本家を見ています。
日本版では尺の関係から病院等のシーンをカットし、スピード感が増してますね。
一方、韓国版は丁寧で豪華。
字幕の為、名前が覚えられなくて困ってます。
両方に共通するのがOPの歌。
耳に残る「We All Lie」からここに辿り着きました。
本家の素晴らしい雰囲気をmiletが完コピしてますね。
どちらもお気に入りです。

I just finished this drama, I'm very glad that I watched it clean without any spoilers or extra knowledge so I got all the experience ^^. I even watched the special episodes, and I must say the heart put in planning, creating, executing and finishing the drama was amazing! It is well planned, and there's details everywhere even in the way the houses are designed and the way a scene was shot. And not to mention all the characters were believable, the actors and actresses all did an amazing job! It is just a masterpiece! I feel so lonely and empty now that I finished this drama TT
The first K-drama I sat through all the episodes and holy dam, it's been quite the intense ride all the way. The acting, buildup, music, cinematography are all done very well! And the amount of tears I rained down onto my shirt? An immense amount. It really digs deep into just how far parents (especially most of the mothers in the series) go to give the best life they think their child should have but are unfortunately short-sighted with what comes after. Definitely enjoyed watching this!

I listen to this song as the govt in my country is forcing us to give exams. While they failed to educate us in the right way. While the whole world has canceled physical exams. And we have more cases than most countries. And our mental health is ruined. Bcz they keep playing with us. :( recently they moved the examination dates to 2 months before the actual dates. Now we only have one month to cover all the syllabus..... Just cruel.

is it only me who thinks that hyena's death was also due to her own fault, as being just a 18 year old teenager she went really overboard with adults even without thinking once that they can really harm her and also they have much more power than her own self, i am not saying that her death was not miserable but i am just trying to highlight the part of story by other perspective from which we can also take a lesson.
