Have them put the phone to your family members ear. I work in hospice and the last thing that goes is your hearing. This person can hear you tell them that you love them. Tell them everything you need to tell them they can hear you.
Silent viewer here but I wanted to share my own story as solidarity for you in this moment. My mother had a massive stroke in 2011 that caused permanent disabilities and paralysis. She was in a rehab center for 4 months, learning how to adapt to her new body. This rehab center was very from our home so my family would visit my mom in "shifts" a few days or weeks at a time. At the same exact time we learned that her dads cancer had returned after nearly 10 years of remission and he was dying. He was the rock in my family and we knew he only had weeks to live. The doctors strongly encouraged my family not tell my mother about my grandfathers decline because any stress could impact her recovery and even cause another stroke. She had been through so much and my grandfather decided not to tell her. Me and my dad stayed with my mother the entire time she was in the rehab and my family would visit on and off. Just two weeks after he learned of his relapse, my grandfather died. The pain was indescribable. The hardest part was that because I stayed with my mother I never got to see my grandfather in person again. We did tell my mom once she was stable enough but he had already passed away and she was devastated. It took years to process this but now i know for certain my grandfathers choice not sharing his relapse with my mother was the biggest act of love I have ever seen. I think their is something to learn from that. I agree. Love your people no matter what that may look like.
❤😢 when you are down, everything seems to be against you. You know that so few people really care. Those that do are your new, true friends. God bless, everything, will be alright😊
I have been a bereavement therapist for 30 years. Rituals are our way of acknowledging important times in our lives. You can create a ritual of goodbye to mark and acknowledge your relationships. Call your family, face time with them, share thoughts until the last breath. God has you in the palm of his hand. Hugs and prayers!
Can someone hold a phone to their ear so you can say what you need to, knowing they will hear you as hearing is the last sense to leave our body? Wishing you peace.❤
I'm so sorry. Now that I'm an advanced age, 66, with health problems, incl 2 cancers, it becomes scary to see others pass away and to go thru my own serious health issues. I really worry about my daughter being left alone. She's an only child. Do a zoom video with them if you can. I'm so sorry. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Death is permanent. But to know Jesus is to know that you are also saved you will see that person again. I have been where you are and it’s a deep sadness! They know you care.
I'm so sorry you're going through this. It must be so difficult to be so far away. You're right about death, many don't even talk about it. We need to change that. You will be with your loved one in spirit, energy, thought and prayer is everything. ❤
Maybe it is cultural. But in Asian cultures we do talk about it and there are rituals practised not only soon after the passing of loved ones but also annualy like the observance of All Souls Days. Remembering and honouring them on anniversaries . In various religions, even Christians.
@@SimplyRachelOBare we have rituals surrounding birth, weddings, funerals and even after. We remember and honour our dead. Not necessarily ancestral worship though some religions like Taoism and Hinduism practise a bit of that. In my family we celebrate their lives and memory on birthdays, wedding anniversaries and anniversary of passing.
Praying for you Rachel! It’s so hard to be away from family during times like this! I think you are where you are suppose to be right now ! With Kyle! Of course! But doesn’t mean your hurt and loss isn’t valid! Bc it is! Take comfort in Kyle and your love for each other! ❤🙏🏻 sending love! Thank you for your message today! 🥺
I’m so very sorry. I saw this and it makes so much sense to me. “Living knowing that your life is a vapor is different than just living. Things here are passing away. You've got to hold on to what will stand. Savor what matters. Always.” You are right. We never know. But I also believe that we love to a beautiful space of peace and beauty so that allows for my comfort. May they rest in that beautiful place.
Sweet, lovely Rachel.. Talking to us, although we live in different countries of the world.. suddenly it happens that we all become a big family, no matter how far.. how distant we may be.. You brought us into your world.. into your beautiful house with your beloved Kyle who goes through his own ordeal with courage, faith, optimism, and most of all love. Your precious love. Now, losing someone so dear who lives in another place, a family member of yours, is indeed very heart breaking.. Not being near..not being able to say goodbye.. I undertand you, my dear.. so much.. Still, because love crosses oceans, there are no psysical obstacles that prevent love to 'travel' everywhere, be sure that your loved one, must have felt kind of 'warmth' in his/her heart when you just sent all of your love there is in your soul. This was your goodbye said not with words but with all the power of your feelings.. May God rest this loving soul in peace..🌷
@@SimplyRachelOBare I understand and feel so deeply much about how you feel, my dear.. It's so hard to lose someone we love.. I have lost both of my beloved parents, and I surely know what is in your loving heart.. But, you must know that your loved one always be with you in spirit and guide you in every step of your life... May God be always with you and Kyle my sweet lady...🌹
We all know Death is inevitable for all of us. Making our peace with that is necessary because we will face it many times with loved ones. The worst day of my life was losing my dad to cancer. But I believe in heaven and eternal life , so I can take comfort in that. What are you beliefs about Death? Do you think it ends there or do you believe in reincarnation or some kind of continuity/ life for the soul?
I am so so sorry your loss my heart goes out to you!! I do believe our souls experience many lives and knowing we could meet again in a different lifetime or forum is comforting!
I'm so sorry that you lost a loved one, truly. It is weird that we take death so hard when we are miles and miles away from it... I guess its because we know that we are never going see them again, and we want that so badly... I'm so sorry Rachel! I love to Beetlejuice and back.
Keep the faith and know that God can and will heal your family member.🙏🥰. Just talk to God and tell HIM your deepest thoughts and hurts too and HE will and can hear you.
