- Tulle is cheap and works as an effective bird/critter netting. It won't get stuck on everything, it comes in many colors and can be saved for several years and reused. This is what I bought: amzn.to/3Xdx7oc
I use these stainless steel clips for everything from hanging laundry to chip bags and of course their intent in the garden: amzn.to/4aYBnLw
and here is a link to the video on how I make the plant cages out of spooled wire. • Home made tomato cages...
Great idea to use the tulle. Love those stainless steel clips!
I've been using those clips for everything...i love them for hanging laundry too.
Tulle is my friend! I cover my raised beds till they'll grow, then uncover. Squirrels dig in their if I don't
that is a great idea! do you use hoops or just lay it on top?
Good morning, thanks for sharing YAH bless !
thanks Michael, be well
Excellent

I'm a rebel and just overplant so the birds can't make a dent. Definitely a Blueberry year for me. So far I've harvested well over a gallon. I'm thoroughly jealous of your apples though. It's a constant fight with fire blight, cedar apple rust, codling moths, and other bugs that want to make sure I can't ever get a pretty, organic apple
I was thinking about you all when I was covering the blueberries...i've left on sacraficial one open...to appease the bird gods...maybe they will accept and leave the rest alone. soooo many apples I have to start thinning, the June 'drop" hasn't happened yet!
We pulled up our blueberry bushes from the ground and put them in pots instead, and they seem to be thriving. Easier to control the pH of the soil this way as I know they can be fussy. Thanks for the tips on the tulle and the clips! (Didn't mean to rhyme, oops..)
great on the idea about the soil & pots....mine are old and are doing well so i'm pretty lucky.
@@OldSchoolPrepper That is awesome but I know it takes hard work! Meanwhile our raspberry bushes are out of control...!
