I like how you say that life gets in the way. Makes me feel better with my not so perfect garden. Im going to have ro get some of those. Thank you
Those Buggers.. They're everywhere 😁 Great Content 🎉
Wow, those cicadas are loud! Thanks for the tips on the types of netting and the frames.
Thanks for the video Jill! Last yr I spent wayyy too much time on removing squash / cucumber beetles. I need more time for other garden chores. PS~ Your channel has The most articulate hands -on practical and informative content🌻❤️🔥 Thanks for sharing your knowledge and insights GodBless!
Hi Jill, great video explaining the difference between the row covers and how you use the insect netting. We are also huge fans of row covers and use all the ones you talk about here! I attached permanent hoops on our raised beds using EMT conduit and a bender you can get from Johnny's Seeds...been very happy with it!
I’ve seen that used but I haven’t tried it yet. Thank you for sharing that you’ve found it helpful!
@@thebeginnersgarden if you’re considering one in the future and want to see it in action I have a very short video of how it’s used here:

Your garden looks great this year!
Thank you for sharing!!
I grow everything in a greenhouse except things the wildlife won’t touch, like onions. I did want to grow strawberries in there but I’m too worried about bears ripping up my expensive greenhouse. It’s also quite cold here, so it’s an ideal solution.
Where do you get your bug netting? What the the metal pieces you are bending over the bed?
I used to fight the squirrels, rabbits, possums, and raccoons, Until I got the premier 1 electric poultry fence, NOW not a single one of them come anywhere near my garden.
I am thinking about getting an electric fence, also. We don’t have possums but we do have grizzly bears, because of that I can get the fence at a discount.
How are you tacking that netting to the ground?
Thanks hb default I order 10 foot wide frost and insect netting.
Great information, Jill, thankyou! I would like to know where you ordered the metal hoops and size you use? I didn’t see it in your products list.
Gardeners Supply. These were the super hoops I believe.
@@thebeginnersgarden I appreciate it. 😊
I thought the cicadas were bad where i live ! Lol!
Haha! We had mic issues and had to go with a different one this week and it really picked them up!
Good info. W
Can you send me a link for the metal arches you use to hold the netting please?
The link to the products she mentioned is in the description box for the video.
Didn’t you do a video on comparing neem oil vs baking soda for pest control? I can’t find it. If you did, can you please post the name of the video? Thank you.
When do you plant for fall crops and what do you plant? Blessings❤️🌺
Most of my fall crops go in at the end of august. Upcoming video on that next week!
Looking forward to seeing the video. Thank you! Blessings ❤️🌺
I covered my lettuce bed with insect netting, after harvesting lettuce I noticed plastic particles when washing the lettuce.Does anyone else notice this?
If you cover a bed planted with beans. Are you had pollinating these plants?
No, beans are self-pollinating.
I'm new to gardening and really confused. Camp the insects just crawl under the insect netting?
My question too!
