I came here looking for some inspiration while I'm writing today, and damn! Noticed one of my tracks at 40:13 ! Thanks for thinking of me and the support! :)
So glad at least one of these fantastic clip videos escaped the takedown orders. I watched these with my dad when he was in the hospice as we both loved the good old days of horror.
39:48 imagine you're in this horror movie and this woman comes out at you like this but while she's doing it she also moves to the beat of the music and you're just like bruh.
Coming from vol. 2. This stuff is amazing. It's the perfect background music for helping me focus on creative work. You are a genius. Please keep doing this!
I'm glad you've enjoyed the series. It's something I plan on keeping up and adding to as time goes on. I've also started a new "partnership" of sorts with the NewRetroWave channel which should help with things and keep this awesome music coming. Be on the lookout for Vol. 3 sometime in March!!!
I'd like to truly thank you for this. I go to college for screenwriting and directing and haven't been able to feel as if i've truly had a great horror idea in 4 years, and thanks to brainstorming while listening to this, I so far have 67 pages of my newest horror script! This music was perfect
God damn... I've seen a few gory horror films in my day but you just can't compare to these old school effects. There's just something so visceral about using REAL parts you can't capture with even the best CGI!
Not only is the music cool as fuck but the video to go along with it is edited extremely well. Great moves Confused Bi-Product of a Misinformed Culture, keep it up, I'm proud of you!
Haven't listened to this playlist yet, but since I couldn't find a way to message you, I want to say: Your channel is absolutely incredible. It is the standard for music to study to, chill to, or vibe to. Thanks for putting out quality content so frequently
I think there's a large untapped gothic audience for some of this sort of stuff, Idk how many gothic djs even know about a lot of. I have heard a lot a stuff they play that is not as good and no more appropriate for goth scene. I'm curious about the bands and what years the tracks were made. Thanks for making !!
this stuff is weird totally different than what I normally listen to (trip hop an hip hop) but this stuff is cool tho haha I love discovering new kinds of music.
Thanks guys. I'm happy you try out some of the other things I do. I think most people get hooked by those trip hop mixes, but there really is a lot going on here. I get bored real quick so finding new genres and tracks and artists is a fun way to stay up to date and challenge me mix wise. Thanks for checking it out!
that's because it's quality work. I'm thinking of trying to find out me details about the bands and when these sort of tracks were done, because I don't think many of them were actually made in 80's or early 90's.
These are so amazing. I play them at work all the time. I work at a yoga studio. People don't know what to think when they hear these! Please keep them coming!
Damn this shit is unbelievable ! Listen everyday every fucking hour your trip hop mixes and discover this is a big change, but omg I love it. Your mixes bring me to another dimension, a huge thanks
Ha, awesome :) This was a fun one for me to make and really... If it weren't for the multi-genre aspect of this channel I would get terribly bored. I'm happy you are enjoying the variety!
just wanted to say i've been listening to this playlist more so than their actual albums because i absolutely love how you put similar energy/sounding music together. the whole playlist is like a ride. but i mostly really like the maniac and motorcycle cop part and especially during raydar to dance with the dead and to compilerbau part. like i couldnt listen single songs of those without coming back to this playlist for the same effect. thanks again. love all your horror playlists.
Thanks, I'd agree too. There is something special about a mix, the build up through sounds and progression and feelings and all that stuff. I just wish it wasn't such a niche genre, there just isn't a tremendous amount of this type of music out there and BPM wise it's all over the place so it's hard for me to make as many as I'd like just cause there isn't that much music, yet... There, if nothing else, will be the grandmaster of all horror synth mixes out Halloween week 2017, muahahah :)
I enjoy this kind of video, my favorite one it was the It Came from the 80's... Vol.4 - A Retro Darkwave Horror, but I coudn´t find it, where is my No. 4 T.T
Same here, i tought i had it downloaded, but didin't find, imagine my sadness when i discovered that it doesn't exist in the channel anymore and i can't find it anywhere else. it's like were a dream, and now it only lives in my mind, so i can't prove to others how awesome were.
Every single one of these scenes are visually more scary than any modern horror film I've seen with the exception of maybe a few cheap jumpscare tactics I've suffered. And it's all because of the practical effects. It really puts things in perspective.... Even if it's technically more cheesy looking, just the idea and how it's executed.... It's much more effective. Like that teeth-morphing thing with that possessed girl. That blows away any CGI.
So I checked the name on Soundcloud. Bonzer, mate. Every style of ambient psycho-blowout I can imagine. Downloading. Smoking the Irish menthols. Creating dark horrors as we speak. A true aural, cyberpunk handbook. You'll soon be seeing the result, when apt for reconsumption. You've just sent darkness back Down Under. |m|
Thanks. That's one of the things that keeps me going, the nuance and challenge of it all. I've got this dream of just being the best DJ of everything. Perhaps a bit conceited or whatever, but if a dream isn't to be the biggest, baddest most awesome what ever, what's the point? Plus, I feel I'm taking a fair number of people on a ride here and that is awesome. Opening up doors and showing people some cool stuff along the way. It's been a fun ride and should be for some time now. Cheers!
Dude, where have you been all my life? I'm loving your mixes!! Keep up the good work! Came across the mix 'it came from the 80's vol.2' and fell in love with it within the first minute. This mix brings back a lot of memories. You are in my top 5 subs!! Two thumbs up to you my good sir.
Thanks man. This is a fun series to keep up, a bit challenging just because there aren't 1000's of artists or even songs to work with, but when I am able to get enough material for a mix it's always a fun ride. One way or another Halloween this year there will be a Part 4. Cheers!
This is so dope!! Thank you!! I often do stuff like this at home but just usually just as a spontaneous experiment. I should upload! Thanks again for the vibes :)
Sadly, I didn't even know this was a thing until like, last week... It's hard to keep up with all the awesome stuff that's being done. I love the culture of subcultures and try to stay up to date, but it's kinda impossible, though it is fun to try. I grew up in the 80's too, so this just really hits the spot. There will be more of these to come, for sure.
Yea me too! I found out about this genre last year and the ambient and art work is awesome. Its nostalgic af. I look forward to more of your vids - Have a good night wherever you are! :D Confused Bi-Product of a Misinformed Culture
Thanks, it's always exciting finding something new. The video aspect was fun for me too, I adore me some B-rated horror movies. Good night from Tennessee :)
Should you be needing some more retro wave on this Alls Hallowed Eve, I got a mix dropping on the New Retro Wave, it's delicious. Enjoy :) ruclips.net/video/iqvsNz2QMbI/видео.html
As a kid it was just because I liked to smoke weed and Amsterdam seemed to be the mecca of Marijuana. Now... The weed thing isn't that big of a deal. I just hear it's a cool city. If I do make it there, I'll hit you up :)
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaggggggggg! Love it. So frickin' scary I will be seeing this in my sleeeeeeeeeeeeeeep! Reminiscent of my family, a bunch of sick ghouls. They are the nightmares leaving me without rest. Glad it's on video!!!
Is there a list of JUST the songs in your multiple playlists that are just takes on movie themes? That's literally some of the best stuff I've heard in my life. Nightmare on Elm Street, Phantasm, The Fog...any others?
There is a part 3 to this series as well, it's got a paint it black remix as well as a remix to the creepshow theme. Here's a link ruclips.net/video/0b_qqRLDqSw/видео.html
It's done!!! Giving it the final review, but I'm 50 minutes in and I think we are a go. Give it a couple of hours and it should be up and time to party!!!!
I want a mix of my voice...I say one word visiting the whole scale and let a mixer-lot have my vocab in vernacular via voice (ahhh aliteration junky...sorry readers) have their way with it...I have many ideas if u or mixer-lot buddies wanna tackle...please just let me hear your finished Magnum Opus
my curiosity is growing strong about that too.. wondering about year of production of tracks. But not to seem disagreeable..'authentic' 80's doesn't matter...a lot of 80's is crap. good is good. I'm actually doubting that much of the 80's was ever this good !~
I came here looking for some inspiration while I'm writing today, and damn! Noticed one of my tracks at 40:13 ! Thanks for thinking of me and the support! :)
Thank you! That section has ALWAYS been my personal favorite and I’ll regularly replay from roughly the 40:00 mark, even to this day.
This playlist is an underrated gem! 💎
So glad at least one of these fantastic clip videos escaped the takedown orders. I watched these with my dad when he was in the hospice as we both loved the good old days of horror.

That's what it's all about man. I'm happy to have helped :)
Zach: read some Robert E Howard and HP Lovecraft
How's it going? What's it about?
God damn... I've seen a few gory horror films in my day but you just can't compare to these old school effects. There's just something so visceral about using REAL parts you can't capture with even the best CGI!

From the man himself, thanks. I'll see you in my dreams, Freddie!!!!

Dude!!! That's about the best compliment ever, thanks :) And of course, you're most welcome. I hope you enjoy my little ode to Halloween. Cheers!
I can honestly say, I can't work on my statistics homework without listening to your "It came from the 80's.... Volume 2" :)
this stuff is weird totally different than what I normally listen to (trip hop an hip hop) but this stuff is cool tho haha I love discovering new kinds of music.
I have the same thing with this channel in general. I discover so much music that I didn't think I would appreciate. It's awesome.
Thanks guys. I'm happy you try out some of the other things I do. I think most people get hooked by those trip hop mixes, but there really is a lot going on here. @eltourisoduo - Most of them have stuff on Bandcamp and Soundcloud. Timewise, it's all relatively recent - last 5 years or so.
I was born in the 80's and spent my youth in the 90's watching VHS tapes of random b flicks from the the 80's and this makes me nostalgic
I still revisit these from time to time. I can't thank you enough for these
Stay blessed!
ha, you and me both my friend
Ive always collected older horror movies and have been loving this!
This is total heat. Just imagine driving in an AMG future SUV blasting this in miami at nighttime
Or a ferrari tessarossa ;)
I've been so obsessed with this genre lately 😍😍
These are so amazing. I play them at work all the time. I work at a yoga studio. People don't know what to think when they hear these! Please keep them coming!

I've been on a serious nostalgia kick lately for all things industrial/goth/new wave/etc... This (and vol. 2) are excellent! Well done!
Love the Mega Drive - Maniac + Carrie flow 13:24
Thank you for taking the time to put all this together and for sharing it.
What a marvelous set... AMAZING!!!! Cant stop listening to it..... Great job done here
Happy Halloween 2019 fellow synth lovers
видео ряд тоже шикарно подобран
I searched for a remix of Power Glove's Motorcycle Cop and came across this mix. Love it!
This mix is amazing! I just arrived here fresh from vol. 2, keep up the great work.
Nice, Vol. 2 really took off. I'm happy you've continued the journey. Cheers!

Misinformed Culture, you are a genius. All your stuff is so different, yet so incredible.
Thanks. That's one of the things that keeps me going, the nuance and challenge of it all. I've got this dream of just being the best DJ of everything. This stuff is so fucking badass, thank you!
Perfectly captures the essence of '80s Horror!
This was my entire childhood. Thank you!

Blood Machines, mayhaps?
Nightmare on elm street yesssss great movie
Like the second part better; it's more varied.
you rock for uploading this. I didnt know you like new retro wave.
Sadly, I didn't even know this was a thing until like, last week... It's hard to keep up with all the awesome stuff that's being done. Lol. That look on my mom's face at 7:17 when she gets my report card in the mail. Still gives me nightmares :)
Confused Bi-Product of a Misinformed Culture 😂😂😂
'Suspiria', not 'Suspira' in the movies list.
Just watched recently the trilogy and the remake. :)
Love the choice of footage!!!
45:46-47:12 is Day of the Dead. The Resident Evil one is Resident Evil: Afterlife.
blow my mind every time!
Oh man, glad to hear it. I've always wanted to make something like this, glad it was enjoyed. Cheers!
I miss the 80s 😭😭😭
I love this sooo much
this is god tier
29:03 amazing
Inspirational. Thanks.
this is perfection! but can we get a list of the film clips in order please?
Fantastic mix!!!!! Love the different horror footage, too. I was curious which movie the footage at 7:55 came from?
Demons, an old Dario Argento flick
This is fucking brilliant.
I'm loving this!!!
Still loving this!!
Track 2 sometimes sounds like Christine by Carpenter rmx.
My other other jams! Love this stuff!
Hell yeah. It don't have to be Halloween to enjoy some Darkwave, or as I shall call it from henceforth... Dankwave, lol. Cheers!
Confused Bi-Product of a Misinformed Culture I've got thickets to see Perturbator in Jan, I'm pumped!
Oh man. That would be sick!!! Have fun :)
Well I love the flow of your mixes, your an artist, keep up the good work!
Thanks.You know I will. Cheers!

There a download link for this set too? I loved Part 2.
Is there any way to download this mix at all? Please I need this mix!!

EPIC¡!
where can i get this music? i don´t find it in soulseek
@6:07, which Hellraiser movie is that? It's been a minute since I've seen the later ones.
Hellraiser 3 I think? The one with Terry Farrell. But I could be wrong.
@@ekwatts wait, Terry Farrell? As in Jadzia Dax from Deep Space 9?
Can I use this for a tv show?
Great video, man! Any chance we'll be getting a Vol. 3?
Your timing is impregnable. I'm about to record it right now!!!
It's done!!! Giving it the final review, but I'm 50 minutes in and I think we are a go. Give it a couple of hours and it should be up and time to party!!!!
It's up!!!
Fffffffffff....Yeah! ! !
Any download link?
I looked this up, albeit with grave doubt...and found this. :D

Where did you get the Dance with the Dead A Nightmare on Elm Street cover?
All the time trying to warn you
What movie is at 7:16?
2018 and this mix is still killer. Cover art (what i choose to use) i.imgur.com/gWsyONW.jpg 2100x2100
Did you sample those 'bird' sounds around 34:40 from the Age of Empires games? They sound so nostalgic!
Great shout. Totally!
Is this authentic '80s music, or are we listening to some sort of retro tribute thing?
my curiosity is growing strong about that too.. wondering about year of production of tracks. But not to seem disagreeable..'authentic' 80's doesn't matter...a lot of 80's is crap. good is good. I'm actually doubting that much of the 80's was ever this good !~

Do Not Watch High
Where is that clip from the Evil Dead? That lady gets raped by trees, yes trees, I shit you not.
Ha! Yes, the Evil Dead movies are true classics. If you haven't seen them yet, do so. You won't regret it.
Great music, but boy the video.... lol.
