Whats up guys Lev here from movement minded and in this video we are going compare two game changing products for your home office set up. The ergodriven Toppo mini vs the Ergo Bruno anti fatigue mats.
With more people than ever working from home alot of you guys are upgrading your home office set up, buying standing desks and new office chairs. Lucky for you I have some great videos with recommendations on desks and chairs that won’t break the bank.
A couple of months ago I made a video about my favorite accessory for my standing desk. The Ergodriven toppo mini, well ErgoBruno reached out to me and asked me to review their anti fatigue mat.
The one thing that I always had on my toppo mini was a lacrosse ball for the days I spent more than 3 hours standing on the mat. I felt like I needed to massage my feet, the bad thing was that the massage ball would roll off the mat and I had to go and look for it.
The Ergobruno mat has a massage ball right in the middle of it which is a huge plus. It just stays there and I dont have to chase it around the office.
So lets get into the similarities
They are both great anti fatigue mats, the ergo driven toppo mini has a softer rubber and and bigger ridges which I like because I get to shift deeper into my hips as I move around on the mat. The toppo mini is also for people that are under 5’8”. I am 5’5 and find that the size really suites me.
The Ergo bruno has a more solid feeling rubber so its not as soft, and its a little more slippery than the toppo mini which isn’t a big deal, you won’t slip off of it or anything but thats what I have noticed using it. Also its bigger than the toppo mini so its made for someone that 5’8” or taller in my opinion. It has these bumps in the shape of feet that are pretty cool, but since they are towards the edges of the mat I can only get one foot on them at a time but they do feel really nice to have.
The side to side ridges aren’t as high as the toppo mini so I cant shift into my hips as much as I would like to relieve tension in my low when I am standing for long periods of time. As I said before one of the biggest advantages of the Ergo Bruno is the ball in the middle. It makes a huge difference if youre going to be working more than 3-4 hours standing. It also feels really great to massage your feet:)
    Price
The ergo driven toppo mini is 69.00 and the bigger Toppo mat is 99.00
The ergo bruno is 59.90 plus just for views of this channel Ergobruno has been kind enough to give an additional 10% off on amazon using the link below.
    Conclusion:
Which mat should you buy? That depends on you, but here is my opinion. If youre over 5’8’ and when you stand for long periods of time you notice that your legs, and feet get achy I would go with the ergo bruno simply because of the ridges and ball in the middle it makes a huge difference.
If youre shorter and get more tightness in your low back, or hips I would go with the toppo mini.
Either is better than standing on the hard floor all day while you work!

Awesome review! I made a review on my channel too.
Got myself the topo mini last week and I love it! Interesting note about the ridges and the hips, I probably do this but didn't realize it until yiu mentioned it.
The ergo buro seems more plasticky

Hey Jess! Thanks! The massage ball is the main feature of the Ergo Buro. As I use the Ergo Buro more its softening up a bit.

Great video, I'm 6'0'' and have the Toppo regular and have liked it, but never thought about using a ball before, will have to check that out.
During the work day I like to alternate between standing on my Toppo and sitting and using my under the desk elliptical. I'm curious, do you have any experience with under the desk ellipticals or similar devices designed to keep you moving even when sitting? How about standing movement devices, like under the desk tread mills? I had an sports related ankle injury in my youth that destroyed the cartilage in my ankle so I'm kind of afraid to go that route for fear of exacerbating the grinding between my bones in my ankle where the cartilage used to be, so really any device thats specifically designed to get you exercise while being gentle on your ankles/knees catches my interest.

Thank you for the comment! The ball is a game changer, it also forces you to move around more when standing.
I haven't had luck with treadmills or ellipticals under the desk. A lot of my clients work in tech and say its very annoying to type and mouse while using them.

I wished they would make something like this for the hard seat in my SUV.

Great video, very good comparison. How do you find the mini for your size? I'm looking to pick one up but I noticed the manufacturer recommended 5'4 as the cut off between the mini and the full size. (I'm 5'6")

At the office im usually wearing shoes since it's a bit strange to be barefoot in my office. Does it matter if i wear shoes on either of these mats?

    • @movementminded

Yes! You can wear shoes on these. Use the ridges to help stretch your feet.

Just use your yoga blocks on the mini to prevent the ball from rolling. Problem solved.
