Excellent Video! Sorry for butting in, I would love your initial thoughts. Have you heard the talk about - Patlarny Diabetes Ruins Principle (just google it)? It is a good one of a kind product for destroying diabetes minus the normal expense. Ive heard some interesting things about it and my close friend Aubrey at last got excellent success with it.
Any idea which group would help with putting on muscle? I'm a 48 year old type 2 on metformin, 1750mgs daily. Last 4 a1c's have been 5.9. Have gone from 205 muscular pounds to 170 since diagnosis. Very depressing.
*My daughter drinks lots of water and urinates with the same rate, there are no other symptoms to show if those have anything to do with diabetes. This is a good information that I have gone through **Diabets.Care** She is 2 years 9 months, hale and healthy, have not done any blood test. But I am not certain if one can get diabetes at such a tender age. Please I will like to know more on that*
Do random blood glucose test, fasting blood glu and 2hours post prandial plasa glucose test and urine glucose threshold test, if 2 or more of theses test are heigher than normal by a large difference then it's diabetes.. But remember it's normal and even healthy to urinate the same ammount of water it's not always polyurea, plus they are many other syptoms, plus it can occur in young age if it's hereditary, but she is mostlirly healthy anf free of diabetes
Thank you for such a clear explanation. I'm in an NP program and sometimes my instructors gloss over the pharmacology. Too often we are taught which drugs to use or avoid but without a fuller understanding of the "why" behind it. Your videos go a long way to help me become a better practitioner.
You’re the best! I have pharmacology finals tomorrow & I have so much to go through! With your videos, I’m not cramming. I’m actually understanding pharmacology! Thanks 🙏🏿
Kudos for the Video clip! Apologies for the intrusion, I would appreciate your thoughts. Have you researched - Millawdon Physique Power Trick (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now)? It is an awesome exclusive product for saying goodbye to diabetes minus the normal expense. Ive heard some decent things about it and my GF finally got great success with it.
You are the best Pharmacology teacher on RUclips. You make stuff easy to understand as you start with physiology. Thank you very much. May Jesus Christ bless you
You have made pharmacology so much easier and fun to learn. I only seem to enjoy pharmacology topics covered by your videos. Your videos are by far the best and in fact you have set the standard so high that if I cant find one covered by you, I just stop looking and go for the long and boring method of reading page after page of incoherent and pointlessly long chapters. Thank you for the videos and hope you can keep up the good work.

I may be a paranoid schizophrenic taking medications, but I'm lucky I have the cognitive power and mental stability (thanks to medication) to further understand my weakness. Olanzapine has been a miracle for me, but my sugar addiction is a bigger problem than I thought. This video (and others; I'm on a binge) help me understand so much about my own body and prescribed drugs. It further encourages me to trust my doctor and 'Big Pharma'. Thank you so much for this condensed, visualized information. God bless you.
you have no idea how many problems u solved for me with this video , no words can justify my deep gratitude , I just discovered your channel and from now on its my number 1 studying reference , THANK YOU ❤
This is excellent. Thank you so much. It strikes me that the most prescribed medication is the one with the least known about it's mechanism of action.
this was literally so so goooddd, watched it while writing notes in my kaplan pharma, this video covers all high yield pointss and summarized everything so well. A MASSIVE THANKYOU.
I've been trying to wrap my head around all these medications for the last two weeks. This made it click, I like actually being able to see the visual representation of the mechanism of action, and then see where the drugs step in to interfere. This is a good resource. I did have to do a deeper dive on Metformin though.
I think during MOA of sulfonylureas, it should be glucose closes k channel so that efflux of k is stopped rather than stoppage of k influx. Correct m if i m wrong, thanks for very informative and easy to understand video.
@@SpeedPharmacology examples of DPP-4 inhibitors examples are sitagliptin, saxagliptin and linagliptin and not exenatide and liraglutide which are GLP1 agonists.
I am a patient of type 2 diabetes. My doctor advised me to use Ambrosia Blucon and Libre sensor to get real-time and continuous glucose monitor. Believe me that there is no better way to track your glucose readings.
Vitamin B12 and diabetic medicines are two separate types of treatments that may be prescribed for individuals with diabetes. Vitamin B12 is an essential nutrient that plays a crucial role in the functioning of the nervous system, the production of red blood cells, and the metabolism of energy from food. Some studies have suggested that individuals with diabetes may have an increased risk of vitamin B12 deficiency, which could lead to symptoms such as fatigue, weakness, and numbness or tingling in the hands and feet. Diabetic medicines, on the other hand, are medications that are used to help control blood sugar levels in individuals with diabetes. There are several different types of diabetic medicines, including insulin, which is a hormone that helps regulate blood sugar levels, and oral medications such as metformin, sulfonylureas, and thiazolidinediones. While there is no direct interaction between vitamin B12 and diabetic medicines, it is important for individuals with diabetes to make sure they are getting enough vitamin B12 in their diet or through supplements, as a deficiency can lead to symptoms that may worsen their diabetes control. Additionally, some diabetic medicines may affect the absorption or metabolism of vitamin B12, so it is important to discuss any concerns with a healthcare provider.
Kudos for the Video! Apologies for the intrusion, I would appreciate your opinion. Have you tried - Patlarny Diabetes Ruins Principle (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now)? It is a good one off guide for destroying diabetes without the normal expense. Ive heard some great things about it and my mate at very last got great results with it.
I was glad to see you had this already corrected in the comments, as I almost choked on my lunch when I heard this ^^ Another thing I noticed: I think the main insuline-independent glucose transporter in HUMAN pancreatic cells is GLUT-1 instead of GLUT-2, which is the main transporter prevalent in mice and rats. Thank you so much for your videos!!!
Excellent Video clip! Apologies for chiming in, I would love your opinion. Have you thought about - Patlarny Diabetes Ruins Principle (should be on google have a look)? Nice video, I use Libre and Blucon and love them. The alarms are nice and are loud enough to wake me up. You can adjust your BG ranges to whatever you want. The best part of blucon is I can calibrate it for higher accuracy!
I started using the FreeStyle Libre sensor and Nightrider for last two weeks, It not only tracks my sugar levels but also give me alarms when I’m low or high. Amazing!
thank you :) the video was very helpful, except that fact that , you didnt mention the most appropriate time of taking these medicines for maximum effect.... e.g. before food , after food etc
I really love your videos as it gives a great knowledge base to build upon. The only problem I still have is remember the drug names. Maybe if you could incorporate drug name mnemonics or something, that would be great. Keep up the good work.
They are good videos eh? Something I use to help remember, is I try to find patterns with the suffixes. Also, this is a really old strategy but it works really well for me. :)
My father died because of the damage caused by the use of Pioglitazone to treat his diabetes. He passed 6 months after being diagnosed with bladder cancer. There was even a class action lawsuit against Actos. I'm disappointed you didn't even mention it. How many people take it without full disclosure of the damage it can cause?
Thank you for your kind words and feedback. I'm glad to hear that my videos have been helpful in expanding your knowledge base. I understand that memorizing drug names can be a challenge, and I appreciate your suggestion of incorporating drug name mnemonics. While I don't typically include them in my videos, there are many resources available online that provide helpful memory aids for drug names. These can be particularly useful for memorizing long lists of medications or for differentiating between similar-sounding drug names. Gluconize is a dietary supplement marketed as a natural alternative to synthetic glucose tablets for treating hypoglycemia (low blood sugar). It contains a blend of natural ingredients, including dextrose, which is a type of sugar that can rapidly raise blood sugar levels. It may be beneficial for individuals with diabetes or other medical conditions that can cause hypoglycemia, although it's always essential to consult with a healthcare professional before taking any new supplements or making changes to your medication regimen.
Satiety is defined as a state of noneating, characterized by the absence of hunger, which follows at the end of a meal and arises from the consequences of food ingestion.
Nice video, I bought Ambrosia Nightrider cgm to monitor glucose which works great with my Libre sensor, their alarm feature is very helpful during night, it gives alerts when readings are not in range.
