The worst thing about someone setting themselves on fire is not dying and surviving with partial thickness burn and full thickness burns. The amount of skin graphs that they would use to replace all the burn skin, and all the infusion drips to replace all the loss fluids and the pain meds to keep you sane. Also, being watch 24/7 because of an attempted suicide, I don't wish that fate on anyone.
"Was Bull Connor Real?" That clip they played of him at the podium was probably animated from a news reel, I would bet money he said that on the news all the time
Spidey is all about civil rights so it makes sense that he would be wearing a X-men shirt. They’re all about civil rights but just Storm on the tee would’ve been more fun
Ok so they gave a nod to Speed and the bus going thru town getting shot up was a nod to a Clint Eastwood film called The Gauntlet (1977). Awesome reaction guys :)
Awesome episode. Please watch BLACK DYNAMITE animated series (season 1 + 2) AND the live action movie. The movie came first then the animated series was created afterwards.
This is 2024, if you see someone set themselves on fire in the news the most we'll say is 'RIP' and then it's business as usual. I ain't gonna flip a table over some stranger I don't know choosing to light up over some cause I most likely don't even care about...
@@SuzukiCabs In the middle of production. Actors were recording what he wrote around the time he left. It's crazy he could write a good episode here but run out of steam by the time he gets to the Riley episode
@@DDarkestKnightI think it's clear that Aaron was overwhelmed by the production without Carl Jones there. Also, with Sony breathing down his neck to write faster, it's no wonder they only did half the episodes that were ordered for season four.
Wasn't a bad episodes. But i remember before it aired, i read the description for the episode online and was hoping we could get some backstory on Roberts family. Like who was the mother to his kids and such.
Yeah, this episode was something else. With those events being mentioned in that interview, I recall learning about it through most of my academic life, especially of the Freedom Riders and Bull Connor. Seeing Robert here, I actually believe this more than any of the BS that he always talks about in his Civil Right days since of all the time that we got to know him, he’s just a glory-seeking, opportunistic fool who would do and say anything for the reward and worst of all, he wouldn’t hesitate to literally throw someone under the bus, pun intended. Hell, in the very first episode when young Robert Freeman was voiced by the creator of the series, he wasn’t even there when the protest group got hosed down by the police because he was putting on a raincoat. As for Sturdy, he is the embodiment of what MLK Jr. stands for when he always used his words instead of actions to promote nonviolence and him being voiced by Dennis Haysbert made all the difference. I remember seeing him in those old Allstate commercials and I always referred him as “the Allstate guy” until I eventually learned his name. Crazy how far he has come.
Does anyone know how or where to influence them to watch a specific show or movie? I’ve got high hopes for Longlegs in July but I dunno what tier if any of the Patreon membership would let me toss it out as a possibility.
You have to pay for patreon and participate in polls. If you pay for high tier most patreon stuff for other reactors allow you to talk to them directly then ask. So I’d say pay them like 100 -200 and they might watch it solo for you. Can’t put anything on RUclips cause one bad performing video and RUclips will remove their popularity. It’s why they watch shows they don’t like but are popular like bleach lol. Just kidding they will like bleach more later in tybw
You should definitely check out society of the snow. It's a great movie and I would love to hear what you have to say about that. If you do watch it I recommend the original language with subtitles, ,the acting was amazing.
That type of protest only works when people have empathy. People are far too preoccupied and anti-woke (aka asleep) to be concerned about actual reality. I hope that some with visible platforms and audible voices could devote a modicum of time to help wipe the cobwebs from the eyes of the masses before it's too late. 🖖😎👍

I love how this episode highlighted how able Grandad was in his youth. You can see where Huey got it from

Geez seems like the recovery phase itself is even more torture 😬
Really good discussion on non violent vs violent! It’s a endless debate but it’s always fun hearing takes on it
Remember young folks, "y'all is we."
"Was Bull Connor Real?" That clip they played of him at the podium was probably animated from a news reel, I would bet money he said that on the news all the time
Very real. They actually censored what he ACTUALLY said
I love how one of the few times Grandad was confirmed to be apart of the civil rights movement, it was against his will
"BBC does much damage!" ....dang, ROFL!😂😂😂😂
2:49 Imagine in 2014 youre relaxing, trying to watch the Boondocks and you hear Rob Paulsen (Yakko, Donatello, etc.) call Grandad a spear _chuckur_ 😂
Great seeing another episode of Robert's very long and eventful past.

The true origins of the civil rights hero. Or so he claims on being
@@Thatskeybladelover Yeah, “claims” to be
I knew that man was a combination of Captain America and Superman 😂😂😂😂😂😂 I called it before Chris and Rana 😃😃
I was also thinking Luke Cage.
@davidharris9395 yeah more like luke cage mixed with MLK
Fuck sturdy, love the voice, reason, and conviction, but man not everyone can tank a crowbar to the chest.

To be completely honest, this was the only episode that is a saving grace for this season.
It was this one and the Chris Brown episode that were the only two great episodes of this season. The rest are just cringe a.f.
The best episode of this season! The only episode from this season I’ll go back and watch
I loved the Mickey chinchilla burn.
Marketa souding like real life Huey out here! 😂
Season 4 isn’t the complete trash people claim it is. I find it quite funny from the pretty boy flizzy episode to the Siri episode
Agree a lot with that only episodes
spidey got that xmen 97 shirt. you knpw what that meannnnnnnns

How old is Ruckus? Benjamin Button age apparently.
Right? He looks older than Robert here
