In Black metal, Probably. In extreme metal. Maybe. Not in popular music. Not even in rock. Not even in hardrock/metal. Not saying he isn't though, he may very well be. But he's just not known well enough outside BM to generally speaking be "widely" considered top 10 (including jazz, prog rock, classic rock etc and so forth). And I'm norwegan, and like him, and have known who he is for well over 20 years.

So you definitely can't dismiss that he isn't, based on your personal opinion alone or without any proof to the contrary. Also, being Norwegian literally doesn't qualify you on any level, whatsoever. So not sure why you'd mention that at all. But thanks for sharing your opinion.

Probability theory is a defined science, which I have studied at university and which you are most likely not aware of. You need to know the number of every single drummer in the genre, in order to calculate what the probability is of him being in the top or not. You certainly don't know, nor have you made that calculation, therefore you cannot categorically confirm nor deny that he isn't. Therefore, given all of the above, automatically, your statement cannot be anything other than your opinion. You have no credentials of any kind in the genre, to decide or tell me that having read certain publications is or isn't enough. You are not a musician (not anyone I'd recognise anyway), you're not a metal journalist, nor an author. Therefore, anything you may have to contribute to the topic, is just your opinion. Nothing more, nothing less. In summation, I'd most certainly take the word of well established and reputable publications and sources in the genre, rather than the OPINION of "random metal fan from Norway", commenting on RUclips. So don't presume to talk down to me, because we can certainly now see who is "spoon feeding" who, around here. End of.

Love gylve, but never really played live, so therefore not really in contestion as the best.. hellhammer is probably a better rival. IMHO..
