Fontainhas, lived their almost for 2 years before shifting to bangalore. As a professional architect this place always amazes me with its beautiful Portuguese architecture. And not to forget saint Sebastian chapel.

Brings back memories of when I was a little girl and we were invited to a beautiful Goan meal at a restaurant in fontainhas! My mother and father made friends with a local Goan man at our hotel… we thought he worked there..we found out later he was the owner! 😂

It’s a remarkable place, I remember the colourful houses amongst the lanes. We took a long walk but then it started to rain hence had to get inside the car. This time hopefully weather should be all right and we intend to stay over there for a few hours for breakfast and lunch too. Do you suggest we take a walking tour or we should be good on our own?

very nice of you to show people videos of Goa. Besides this video I have only seen one other of yours (Café 31 de Janeiro) and I liked it.
But as for this one I must say that the information you give is very poor and sometimes even wrong. And that is a pity. By now 24K people have watched it, so this could have been a perfect means of giving these people some more information about Fontainhas. I'd like to give some examples:
Velha Goa Galeria: what you see in the windows is not just "all these kind of art pieces" but tiles. The art of burning tiles was brought to Goa by the Portuguese and is unique in India. I think that would be interesting to say.
The river is not called "Patto River" but "Rio de Ourem".
The houses in Fontainhas are not "nice, beautiful, old Portuguese houses" they are typical Goan houses, they were conceived and executed by Goans albeit integrating influences from Portugal.
"Nostalgia, this is her restaurant." Who is Nostalgia? The owner's name is Margarida.
Please, prepare your videos better. You should at least have investigated the name of that chapel, if not the year of construction. All you say is: "Here we have the chapel." That it is a chapel you need not tell us.
Instead, you are busy telling your viewers not to invade peoples' properties and not to throw any trash. What kind of people are your viewers that you feel you have to educate them?
You try to give us the name of one guest house. We hear something like "Hospetal". You can't remember the name correctly. You show us the name at the door, but we can read only "Guest House". How shall we find it on Google?
And that library. The fact that the building was recently renovated is of no interest at all, rather should you tell us what kind of library it is.
And in the end the mural painting: "Most people click Instagram pictures here." And you even recommend us a place where we can best stand when taking the pic. Thank you! This man is Percival Noronha (as you can read on the painting itself)! And a little investigation would have enabled you to give some really interesting information about this important resident of Fontainhas who died only recently. And why don't you tell us what this painting is about? It was drawn by Israel based Solomon Souza (with Goan roots) as part of the 2019 Serendipity Arts Festival in Goa. You find lots of his paintings all over walls in Goa.
Well, as I said, so many people have watched this, and to judge by the comments most of them think you've done a good job. Well, I don't think so. There is much more about Fontainhas than they have seen in your video without merging too much into history. I find, you've taken your job too easy, and that is a pity.
Please consider this a constructive criticism.
