Just gave birth a month ago and I'm glad you mentioned about doctors nurses not always know what they're talking about. I was told I was 5cm. I told them how could that be because the pain at that point was unbearable. I was getting contractions without breaks, I was screaming in pain. They left the room with a student nurse in there. I know sometimes there's moms that over exaggerate but not every mom should be treated the same! I knew I was st 10 I knew the baby was coming. Why did they ignore me!? Glad you made this video. I’m due in february 2021 & honestly i’m terrified!!😩😩 I do not want to be treated badly i’m praying for an easy delivery. Congratulations 🎊 *UPDATE* : Had my baby on February 8th 2021. Terrible birthing experience. Ended in an emergency c section due to the cord being wrapped around my sons neck. The recovery of a c section is beyond painful and i wouldn’t wish it on anyone. I’m 4 weeks PP and it’s getting better, slowly but surely. C section incision got infected but the medicine seems to be working and my son is healthy and chunky🥰

Leana that remark even got me. The men don't have to go thru that pain. I can see how some of these women tell these men off. Just looking at this woman I could see what she must have been feeling.
You're such a strong momma! I'm 36 weeks pregnant now and i feel so excited and nervous at the same time as a first time mom..Praying for my baby and myself a safe delivery!
I had to be induced which I felt like made the process longer. I went unmedicated for 17 hours but once they broke my water, I eventually gave in and got the epidural. I was in labor for 25 hours. It’s really a mind thing… if you’re able to go into labor on your own then I think you’ll do great!
@@dyneishaericka3384 Aww, well you tried!! And that’s what matters, what’s most important is that you and the baby are healthy and alive✨. I plan on doing an unmedicated birth too. I’m praying all goes well 😭I’m trying to mentally prepare myself,
The way the staff were so unsupportive and not compassionate was disgusting. I loved how supportive and involved your husband was. I have seen a lot of couples with husbands who sit on their phones whilst their partner’s contracting 🤦🏾♀️. But as a midwife the reason they ask to change from a supine position is because it increases the chances of perineal trauma and can prolong labour and intensify the pain for some women. So changing the position makes the birthing process safer and more tolerable than that position. However it will always remain the choice of the mother. Also asking you to slow down as annoying as it is, it’s meant to help prevent perineal tears. You really handled this situation amazingly and I hope the staff make a change in the way they provide care for black women 👸🏾, because we are just as important.
I loved everything about this!!! Yalls love and support. He listened to what you was saying more so than the doctors themselves and just had your back the whole time. Love it 💕

I love how you guys interact with your kids. They all seem very happy and comfortable just being themselves. It's good that your not being overly cautious and not keeping your toddler away from the baby, her bond will be so much stronger because she won't feel excluded from helping with baby bro.

Omgg U guys were beautiful!!!! I cried the WHOLE entire labor for several reasons but MAINLY cause I am currently 36w & 1d. I am trying to prepare mentally and THIS was sooo worth watching. Loved yall unity!
I am glad you caught this on video of how some nurses and doctors be really treating pregnant women or anyone in the hospital I will definitely be recording my whole birth
When my friend had her baby a year ago the nurse had the nerve to say not to record her. I had been recording the experience for my friend so she could have something to look back to. Pain & all, us trying to make her laugh etc... I wasnt even recording the nurse. She was just in the room when I was recording part of the time. But her comment had me like “uh I’m not recording YOU. I’m recording MY FRIEND & her experience. Has nothing to do with you.” Like uh lady? Dont tell me what to do w/ my video. That made me record every time she came in in fact. It made me more alert just in case something happens, we have evidence. Everyone in the room was like huh? Her saying that made us like eh could’ve kept that comment to yourself. She’s a young Black Woman giving birth we know what y’all do to us. She had such horrible pain while in labor for hours (past 24 hrs at this point) she had to stress her pain level had exceeded beyond the point at which they wanted to help her. Meaning she had to voice her pain was worse than it was cause they kept turning her away while she was in labor. It’s really crazy shit what they do to us smmfh.
This is why us women have to be very careful who we choose to have our babies with. At some point no matter how strong we are we will be extremely vulnerable and need a strong man who knows what to and what we need. This is just a biological need and has nothing to do with gender equality issue. Congrats moma 🥰🥰
You are so right!! My first child I was in full blown labor no meds at this point and felt I needed to push. The nurse kept saying “no you don’t” like I know what the heck I feel right now!!!
Congratulations he’s adorable. I’m sooooo glad you had a safe delivery and the hospital staff should be ASHAMED.... I just found out I’m having baby #2 after 15years😱 #WHATABLESSING🥰
Thank you love I’m so glad it’s over being pregnant is hard work but us women are the strongest beings on earth, that’s why when I have the baby I don’t listen to then I do what my body is telling me they we’re gonna hurt me smh. Congratulations to you love be sure to walk the baby down and do prenatal squats daily for smooth delivery you got this. Don’t let them control your labor your body knows what to do ❤️
WOW he loves you so much 😍 I can see the love he has for you is so real, this video was so amazing you did great and Jr. is so very handsome beautiful family I love you guys 🖤💪🏿🙏🏿
Such a cute little big blessing. I love how the proud daddy kept turning left and right watching his wife's status and his baby. And the hair. Beautiful
Legit listen to your body. I just had my son three days ago. And I went from 7 cm to ready to push in 15 minutes and they were like nah you for real and then they looked at baby was ready to come out. Not everyone labors the same way! Congrats!
The way the kids comforted you was so beautiful…and you are so strong for having a completely natural birth…and the way your husband was there supporting the entire time made my heart melt…so freaking beautiful
I really admire this mother And her spouse. I refused meds.. Given same med to speed labor.. After 20 grueling hours of the most horrific pain I finally had my baby boy. That was my 1st and Last child. Took 5 years to completely heal from that experience. He was worth EVERY second, however is never do it again! Much love to this beautiful 👪!! An absolute beautiful/heart warming video of the miracle God bestows on us moms. Thank you so much for sharing. Yours is the 1st birth video I've ever watched. I wish it had been as easy for me:)
I literally had PTSD from my contractions. I never felt pain to that degree I was mind blown 🤯. I had an epidural there is no way I could of had my baby raw , I probably would of seen the light 😇. Salute to you sista & you kinda remind me of Fantasia .
Yes that pain is really scary it almost feels like you could die 😩 but I hate medication so I just go without and my pain tolerance is high so I’m ok with it. And I hear that literally everyday lol thank you ☺️ 💕
So true girlfriend...when I was in labour with my son, I sware I was seeing stars clearly through the roof of that building. One experience I will forever remember.🥺
I’m 32 weeks with my 4 baby! You motivated me to stick to my guns and keep going it naturally! I’ve always been terrified of the hospitals. My second was induced and it was my most difficult labor and delivery. My boys labor was 12 hours on the nose of both! Hoping for the same this go around! Congratulations to you both
Yeah that hospital staff is pathetic, I couldn’t do it.. girlll I would had to choose a whole another doctor and hospital! That’s ridiculous 😑‼️ congratulations to you and standing your ground , having the power of your own body and letting the nurses know yu won’t do what they say🙌🏾
I did catch a vibe from the nurses and I just wish they were warmer and more intimate with you ya know. Im so happy you're husband was there for you like that, patient and right by your side. God bless mama😘
Staff needed coffee, personalities and to be slapped into what was going on. The father, omg! This is one lucky little boy. He will be adored everyday of his life!
As a white woman I was literally appalled T how the staff treated this woman. I’ve never seen such mistreatment in my life. And I’m a nurse. It made me ashamed.
It's not a black or color of your skin thing. I'm a white Jewish women and my black nurse was talking me out of pain meds during my labor. Telling me the baby would feel the medication even though I wanted some 😡 giving me a total guilt trip and refusing to give me pain meds. People please stop making every damn thing about the color of our skin 🙄
Omg this exactly what happened to me 😀 they kept telling me there is no sign that you will deliver now and when i started to push they ran over the place and telling me to hold it 🤯 i just ignored them and kept pushing till my baby arrived without doctor nor epidural
I started without my doctor too, with my son. Nurses told me to stop. I think I laughed and kept pushing. Completely an instinct. Safe to say the doctor didn't take her sweet time getting there. Now, I'm about to have my daughter in 2 weeks. We'll see what lol.
This is what makes me want to have a home birth!! I feel midwives/doulas are more there for you as you go through your process. Not saying all healthcare professionals are horrible nor are all midwives/doulas in your best interest HOWEVER I refuse to let the hospital treat me some kind of way unknowingly while I’m trying to bring life into this world. Think about what they did to us in the past they were never here for our pain (Black Women mainly, we were used as experiments for the first OBGYN tests from a white male doctor no less🙄) and they do not believe us & would rather us suffer. That has to be the scariest thing in the world.
Yes same here I hate it like of they the ones on that bed with contractions and no epidural they tell us we not ready or dont push Cuz they want us to do it on there time and suffer more hell no we know when the baby coming and when we gotta push when the contractions get so worst you feel like pushing then thats the right time to push that baby out
The medical staff got on my nerve! They had the nerve to tell you you don't feel the need to push... anyways, so happy for you, your kids are soooo cute!
Dear Lady, all your kids are very nice and beautiful. And the newborn baby is such a cute! Kiss and hug them tight! 🤗🤗🤗 Best regards from Russia!🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹

Maybe the doctor was trying to keep everything light and calm?
Agree, very unprofessional and could really cause a lot of stress for the mother.
@@B-ch6uk How would that keep everything light & calm...? If anything that pushes for more alertness & concern. Why are you voicing that when you’re about to deliver a baby? If something happened they could totally use that against him. Negligent at its best.
@@TheCRYSTALLURE My doctor is very personable. He likes to talk about his family, vacations, etc. His stories calm me down. Most are too serious in my opinion. To each their own.
@@B-ch6uk I guess. But sharing your tired before delivery a baby or conducting surgery causes for alarm not calmness.

*UPDATE* : Had my baby on February 8th 2021.
Hey boo congratulations, I hope you have a great experience unlike this one, is this your first? Please have someone with you because it’s so dangerous being alone doing this because the nurses leave the room alot. Congratulations to you ❤️

How did it go?
Ffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff
Well said 👏 So proud of you nurse. Educating is very important.

People dont believe that black women are mistreated during childbirth. Health wise anyway.
@@theRealAmorJae yup the numbers don’t lie

This happens all of the time. They never take black women as serious when it comes to pain and other issues during labor. Or in general
