I like Karazad and Sovereign as a more casual player : getting to PEN is pretty achievable and really all you need for PvE, and you can progress to DEC slowly. The problem is just the activities, if you don't like grinding or life skilling, you don't have much else to do
@LeonV2- you don't need that much crons to get to PEN Karazad or Sovereign... for Karazad you can even buy Debo and go straight to PEN or NOV, it's not efficient but you can do it.

I had the weirdest enlightment back when I quit. I was 10 mins into grinding and just realized i was not having fun and there was really no reason to even grind anymore. New player here! My sister and I recently played through the msq and read all the dialog. We actually both really enjoyed the stone chamber storyline through the end of calpheon. I'm not sure what the jordine storyline was like before, but we found it to be an enjoyable story with the new updates :)
Considering BDO is removing people who are negative of the program, or maybe its just Blue for now, there could come time where if you want to be respected creator, you have to not be a partner, which sucks ass. also, i feel like the Lost Ark numbers are just bot purges, double digit up one month, double digit down next month just screams bots kicked and bots came back.
Blue wasn’t just negative, he was convincing ppl to stop playing the game. It’s not a surprise that he got removed from partner program. Blue gave sooo much constructive criticism that’s right and you can’t take it away from him but after he gave up on that he started to be a guy who complains just to complain. He is not wrong for that, everyone would just give up after that amount of time but he wasnt removed during constructive criticism era he was removed during agressive complain era
Yeah i like blues content but he was going scorched earth, full troll, insulting PA staff. He 100% turned it around after he reacted to that smaller BDO youtuber and has been much more respectful However that doesn't erase what he did. I'll keep watching and I hope they let him back in, but I think he will be fine either way I even remember commenting on a video a while back commenting how if he hadn't been removed from the program yet he would be after that one. He may have taken that specific video down though because I couldn't find my comment
I'm a relatively new player to the game, and while improvements to catching up loot wise might be good for returning players, it just isn't that convincing for new players because they don't know what this stuff is. After playing through the main quest up to Mediah for the first time, and through Magnus, what they need to work on is one of the core parts of the gameplay, quests. A couple friends also played through a bit of the very early game, and the quests in this game are just not that good. You can tell they put a ton of work into them, and I heard that they improved some of the main quests with new voice acting and stuff like that, but overall despite the lore being somewhat interesting the presentation is just so verbose. It's a joke that a lot of people seem to reference, just spamming R. It's TONS of dialogue being exposited like a barrage onto new players and it's just not captivating. The good parts of this game as a new player is the combat and exploration, and they just need to lean into that IMO and the game will be more popular. Less exposition of boring dialogue, less annoying puzzles, more combat/bosses (like Calpheon quest or Magnus final boss), more exploration. I've watched a lot of content creators talk about what this game needs and I haven't seen this talked about that much, but it seems super important
The Karazads where actually Biceps idea and he started asking for them when it got leaked they where gonna release Debo grade defensive accessories and Biceps started asking them not to and to do red or purple accessories with a type of reform stone (crystal slots) like sovereign weapons to bring back build diversity, and every detail of the Karazads except the being able to convert Tett & Pen Debos was Biceps idea and he was happy they listened and I think it was a step in the right direction and it benefited both new players & vets and as biceps said they single handedly with 1 new type of accessories can bring back build diversity. Oh the not being sellable on CM wasn’t Biceps he never mentioned anything about CM or the being able to convert Tett or Pen Debos but everything else was all his idea over releasing more Debos that make many quit . Easier then Debos for New players , Vets will benefit from converting to them and build diversity returns was his biggest points for these.
Its a step in the right direction. but its just that, a STEP. They need to continue walking this direction. Things like reworking monetization reliance to fix the cron problem, making lifeskilling great again, adding group spots for grinding to solo zones and solo spots for grinding to group zones, and unique content like the rumored "demon tower". We all play BDO so evidently were all obviously fine with doing the same thing repeatedly on a consistent basis, but its nice to switch things up every now and then. But currently BDO doesnt really have that. At least not without sacrificing a TON of efficiency which makes switching things up feel really bad.
So was I. I started some months after drak came out, I loved this game, i swore by this game 😂. 3.5k hrs later I started questioning why tf I was grinding in circles for hours and hours. Tnl came out and I haven't looked the other way since, sure I miss my big booba maegu and woosa, but man I just can't anymore.

Found a good guild Friendly Guild "Halloween" and so far I'm very impressed by the community. From someone who came from Neverwinter, KOTOR, WoW etc the comparison in communities isn't even close. The only thing I regret is not playing sooner.
Playing TL made me realise just how much I wasn't enjoying grinding in circles for hundreds, no thousands of hours with little to no gains to show for it. :)
It's probably obvious, but everything PearlAbyss does is aimed at making money, not about the player, and it's been like that for years... Kaharazad, Sovereign, and probably something else soon it is just to prevent you from getting equipment for free and buying it in the market... you have to free the market from free equipment and buy costumes to burn them on crons to raise new eq, which, surprisingly, you cannot sell to others for free... others have to do exactly the same, i.e. buy even more costumes and even more crons... that's the endgame of this 'game'
39:50 man you are on f point, the solo aspect is what I really like about this game, you can just hop on, grind if you want or just afk lifeskill. No one gonna instruct you to do this and that. It's so good when you have a family and would just like to login and chill.
i love the Karazad system, we just need content that rewards u for having them. more demanding grind spots and instanced content would be cool. i also things party boss blitz was a great idea. they just need to push more for content that asks that much out of u
the party boss is garbage, because most of the player base is a solo player base, that's why this game is still alive even after 10 years, you can't give party content to a player base that wants solo content If the player base wanted party content they will quit bdo and play lost ark
Yep. I did black shrine because I didn’t have to get a group together or look for one every week. Not interested in joining a group when the game is built around the opposite.
@@reinhard98 the demanding grind zones I mentioned can feed the single player enjoyers but people want raids and more dungeons. The encounters in party boss blitz are a good first step to how demanding the encounters within raid content could b for BDO. Just because the player base has enjoyed single player focused content for this long doesn’t mean they don’t also want some variety content they can do with guild it’s and friends. It’s clear PA wants more of a PvE focus for the game moving forward. Single player only endgame isn’t going to cut it anymore. They killed PvP so they need things for people to do with friends to break up the monotony.

less than 100h for base gear, so u can do less the 1k h for mid gear, so could do less than 10k h for top gear, so u could do a few more thousands hours for treasure items, so u be fully prepare when they raise the bar
On Saturday Nov 16 , we are +387 and peaking at 16k. Karazad is a good step in right direction but I also think it is the yearly BDO killer MMO losing players and those players are coming back to BDO now.
Well at least you aren't trying to shit on me in this comment this time. I think BDO has hopefully hit the bottomed out point in how many players were going to leave so theoretically any positive changes to the game beyond now should result in much stronger player numbers. 1% gain isn't what I would consider growth especially when the changes to the game have been extensive. I would say they stemmed the bleading and we have stabilized for now. Here's hoping they keep moving in the right direction with the ball and upcoming updates.

they should add 1h timer on grind zone info and do a top trash per class/and all classes, to make ppl go back to grind spots to try to get best numbers, which implies better gear

You're definitely still mad but why do you still cover this game? You don't like the game anymore. The fact that you were even remotely surprised you got removed from the program and claimed to be positive in the week or two beforehand is crazy denial. You can't expect anyone to want you around if you're just gonna trash them and say "tough love, honest feedback"
karazad is a good thing but they dont thought it through in my opinion. you need so many higher to high failstacks and this is just a personal issue because i hate failstack progressing by heart. the biggest problem is that you now have to tap or buy pen accessories to receive dawn essences by heating to even upgrade karas. yes, you could buy them but on EU theyre already at 80m per piece and you need 12 for one try from sep to oct for example, thats almost 1b. so yea you technically need less cron stones for each try but you will lose it on other ressources now to progress through karas so its just feels ass ofc its not as brainless as 11k for one debo pen tap. it costs less overall but its ass to do and dawn essences will be at max price soon so it will get less cheaper and im 100% sure we will see times where there are no essences at all on cm with hundreds of preorders. the best or most efficient way is to tap yellow accs so you lose big fs there in order to get pens. you will need fairly high fs to progress through karas AND you will need high fs to progress sov weapons twice. fs fs fs fs fs everywhere and dont forget about your armors which need high fs aswell after tri. I cba sitting there and doing fs with reblath and bs tets all day long. they really need to bring out a better mechanic or system to stack up fs. and of course theyre selling high fs right now in pearl shop, what a coincidence. i really do love the game but they make it difficult for me sometimes.
I stopped playing because there isn't a purpose for my gear. Once they put gear progression behind bosses that require gear I'll come back, but atm I'm not in one of the 4 guilds that do siege so my gear doesn't matter at all.
I am starting to experience what ya'll are saying. I started March 2024, Already at end game with sov weapons. Already starting to lose motivation to grind. just doing daily quest and login rewards and daily GBR as WH in other guild. there is no other way to progress further without buying/using crons, not unless you are insane and is doing an ironman challenge with the goal of getting dec sov and full dec karazad accesories without spending money or pearls or using the central market.
18:50 You can buy nov karazad accessories (pen debo), but not the final level. Overall, not much has changed - just the items you have to interact with to enhance. I think more of the problem is the lack of fun content. Even with objectively worse enhancement cycles, people happily played BDO when the content was steadily being churned out. When pvp changes were discussed, and the node war content was actually acceptable (albeit laggy and janky), people were warring regularly. People are willing to run circles to some extent, maybe for treasure items, but not for eternity. A better solution would be more content like the new black shrine that can provide around 4-5b/week and you could decide to collect immediately instead of compete. More options to improve gear that include at least somewhat entertaining activities.
BDO devs put what they want in the game and hope that people will like it. That's simply how I've come to understand from talking with cm's for the years I played the game. These accessories are the wrong direction but they don't care. I agree with the point that they should reset gear to get rid of debos and new accessories but I'd never redo quests and I think there is noticeable size of the player base that share that opinion. How they fix it, I really don't know.

I think Kharazad are decent but will be very difficult for new players to get a hold of as each one costs roughly 2bil to craft and essence is fairly expensive for a low gs player who can't farm cresent/doluns.
You are meant to farm at Honglim base and get the essence that way, That spot can easily be over 1 bil an hour, With very little stats required to do it.

I feel like we need Crons to be reworked, ppl dont like to lose progress for RNG, Crons should be way more cheaper and they could find another way to make outfits profitable, maybe a stack increaser item. I dont mind a 3% chance of success, I mind have to pay weeks worth of grind just to not regress

Yep I enjoy the being able to go solo for progression because no one can gate keep me like in other games where ppl won’t let you run Co Op if your new , don’t have max gear which you need to get from dungeon your trying to run etc..
Here some idea that BDO could easly do but will never : What bdo could do is create a passive tree, make removable cc ( like u click on the cc to chose if u want the skill to cc or not ), Create Mount like mob in node wars that arent realy mont but like a flamethrower that player can use while moving ( basically a char or tank that either do little area damage, or give support for near players like heal/buff/debuff ), -role passive like : u choose tank and u take 15% less damage and deal 20% less damage. Dps deal 25% more damage to Cced target and take 15%more damage from all source. Support all source of heal is shared to ally for 20% to 50% potency Make Cc give rage so rage based build would be better, like when u cc someone u generate 5% of spirit rage. Weapon effect like : infused the cold of winter into the black star for it to now have a chance to deal 200 cold damage with 10% chance or apply a dot of cold damage every 5 second for 15 sec on the target and a chance to freezer them if they arent in SA or Ifram... The same for Fire but fire wouldnt be with cc effect but more offensive like 200 damage every 2 sec for 16sec. Air have a chance to restore stamina when hit by an ennemie and gain 10 Dr... Emote création since u can make ur character do some pose in the character création they should give us a way to save the pose and use it as an motionless emote
I think they should improve the pity system, it shouldn't reset on a success and once you pity it can't downgrade below that level. There is nothing worse than say hitting pitty going from say TRI to TET then you fail the PEN attempt and now you are back to the TET hell where you just pitied and are on 0 agris. They can adjust how much you need to pity but with Kharazad and Sovereign weapons there are so many stages you have to cron because you are just going to keep bouncing around and blowing expensive fail stacks. There is just too much of a variance between a lucky person and an unlucky person. Luck should be a factor but it is brutal in games like BDO and LA. Sould Player B have to put in literally thousands more hours to reach the same gear score as player A just due to luck? Ultimately, with gear it is both a time sink and a resource sink. T&L time gates you so you can only do X instances for gear upgrades a week, we have timers on rift bosses and world bosses but for the most part gear used to just be dropped base, this was the time sink. The currency sink was failing to craft or buying from someone who did it for you. If we aren't going to have the failure rates of enhancement or cron cost then they will just keep adding artificial time sinks, like needing that rift boss drop for DEC attempts. I think a bigger issue is the lack of sidegrades, before Kharazad and Debo you had different accessories for different builds and different content, we pretty much just have one path for everything. If Kharazad was less of a one shoe fits all system and we had say 5 different versions of Kharazad that came from different content and each had strengths and weaknesses you can afford to not dump all the time gating and resource sink on the one set of accessories because people would be gathering different sets. Another major problem with Kharazad and Sovereign weapon system, I am never making this shit twice. So I have my main that I play and the copy. There is no point having a gazillion classes because the rest of my alts are in Tuvala and I am never going to play them properly because I aint doing this shit grind for every one of them. I think it detracts from having a wide range of classes to play. There is too much investment required for a single character, with Lost Ark, once you hit a certain gear score level, your enhancement rate and material requirement for gear below that threshold change so it is significant easier to gear alts and catch them up to be just below your main.
To add if PA removed someone for talking about the bad parts of them game the way this guy did just taking an non hostile or Doom approach just respectfully discussing it and giving criticism that is much needed then something is wrong. Like there is nothing wrong with his approach to discussing the current problems. If they removed him or choice for how they approach the downsides of the game I would not even want to be a content creator anymore for them.
In my eyes they simply need to make our gear worthwile. I have 730 GS now. 321 Main AP 412 DP. i can grind pretty much every spot. Other than treasure items i have no reason to continue playing. Getting gear in the past was for pvp purposes but now.. idk what to do with my gear other than just grind treasure items.
For Karazad itself? Not having to save 35+ bil all at once for +1/2 ap is really, really nice. I do hate BDO's enhance system. Its the opposite of fun, but at least you can go "it x crons per attempt, so X million/billion per click". Steam numbers for MMO's are a little less important than some people give them credit for, especially if the game didnt initially release on steam. Its a great way to see your retention of the steam-only crowd, or for newer players, but its typically less good for enfranchised players, and the longer the game wasnt on steam, the less good it is for that demographic. Everquest is on Steam now, and the steam numbers are basically worthless for figuring out trends, because the only people playing it on steam are people who saw it on steam 20+ years after its launch. Guild Wars 2 released on Steam a decade after it launched, and there was a relatively meaningless amount of players who switched to it, the rest are new players. The trends for that game tend to follow the trends for most free to play MMO's. People pick it up, get to the point they have to make a purchase, then a bunch go "well fuck me thats a big purchase, ill go play some other $1 steam game" and a large chunk of the players fall off. The numbers do matter, but you have to make sure you're looking at the part of the playerbase they matter for or its still a bit of junk in junk out. BDO released on steam 2 years after launch, about 7 years ago, so the numbers for it will more resemble the overall playerbase.
All bdo 'updates' in recent years are just 'fix' or 'correction' but definitely not 'updates'. It's better and improving but the game have almost no new content or new purpose, it's still the same game 3 years ago (or worse for pvper). I don't see any chance for the game to come back unless the director step down or the crimson desert hit hard, earn them a shit ten of money and they are willing to remaster bdo again.
To you maybe, to the majority, no. Pvp players in BDO Have always been in the minority. Even people who enjoy pvp like jonlaw have stated that they are in the minority. Always have been.
Karazad were a step in the right direction, simply for not destroying on a failure; but they really missed the mark for what players want with this Cron system. Unfortunately they have not built their store in a way that incentivizes anything different. There are plenty of possible solutions, but a RUclips comment wouldn't be the place to go through them all.
BDO is a PVE game, and they try to get new players, Which, who is willing to play 5th most popular mmo, when they can play WoW or FF? I've seen this before, Planetside 2. BDO has about 3 - 5 years left of actually coming back. but at this rate it's highly unlikely.
Im catching up on accessories and events after 2 months but only because old nws are in glabs, wouldn't have logged in otherwise, don't care about grinding circles just to grind. I'll grind a bit to get crystals and right back to war logging 😅
No open world PvP apart Arsha - you no see me in bdo. As simple as that. I prefer to be wrecked by red karma players and try to get that gear to defend myself or spot rather than grinding 200h just to grind another 200h on a different spot lol.

imo pen bs is outdated. for me as a returning player pen bs is such an insane bottleneck.. pen blackstar which is not even endgame gear anymore since sovereign has the same cron cost than dec kharazard
They should remove ap caps from grind spot so get gear actually means something. Why can’t we make 5 bill plus a hour off of trash drops. Like you more gear to get the same money from a spot that dropped years ago.

All servers have open world pvp, w/ the exception of season servers and new olvia. The difference between normal and arsha servers is that you need to press alt +c on normal servers to flag for pvp.
Yea arsha servers are a pvp free for all theres no punishment for killing anyone on those servers. Just don’t kill anyone on any other servers or you will go red and its a pain to get un red.
Its not just about the enhancement system, grinding silver per hour is bad, making 1B per hour is to slow when you have to spend 150 billion on a weapon and you need 3, it takes way to loong to achive and while you grind ppl are killing you and make you not wanting to play, item drops are extremely hard as well so the game feels to slow of a progress even with all the free bs

@ the thing is the game is hard to pick up for new people and u combine that with rng, bad silver per hour, crons, caphras and a lot of things and it will take you a year just to get to 630 something gs with all the free stuff, you see the old players complain bc they dont want you to catch up, catching up means no more abusing on grinding spots and no more pvp fights where you look like the main character. The thing is this game needs to have players running around and interacting not just you alone doing cirlcles for hours just to get silver, it makes you grind alone also. The reality is that a game that relies on pvp to be a playable game needs to consistently be on the pvp side such as class balance and playability with each class, that alone make people will stay more than making the game harder. Basically you have two sides pve is supposed to be very fun, team based and cool while pvp is supposed to be fun but challenging they dont hit this and its boring to grind 3 hours while getting killed by 3 ppl from a guild thats clearly stonger than you for one bill just bc they want to

Even in current aos eva class are even more tanky than zerk its so ridiculous.. We are not even talk about the class kit where some class just straight better.. Hey Blue, could you please consider talking about cross play and allowing console players to use acct they have worked so hard for on pc. It seems fairly simple to me but maybe you and the rest of the old moon guys might have insight on why that can’t happen or hasn’t happened. I think it would be an interesting talking point for your console viewers and maybe others as well. Maybe some attention at your level could help us out over here on console to get some attention because a large majority of console players have pc’s and don’t want to invest the time and finances into a separate account. There was hope for content but clearly we will get it when I’m old and thumbless. Just a suggestion on a talking point I feel could be productive because you DO make a difference in our community

For the people who keep saying that PVE is what brought players into the game- Enough people quit after devs changed NW and essentially removed open world PVP that the game lost literally HALF of the playerbase compared to last year. You're out of your mind if you think PVPers didn't take up *AT LEAST HALF* of the active playerbase and kept the game alive. PA only listens to Korea, and since they're all PVE Andies that shit their pants any time someone asks to DFS, they removed any option to PVP without capped gear. Why else would you grind if not to gain more gear for PVP? You people are coping so hard.
I started playing about a couple of months ago, right now I'm taking my time exploring life skills and tryng different classes. I've been playing MMOs since Dark Age of Camelot, I'm an old fart and all... just saying this to give some background, no bragging and there would not be anything to brag here anyway, right? One thing seems clear to me: developers are busy with the other game and have completely abandoned this one save the very minimun required to keep the game running. The last two round of patches were packed with changes yes, but, correct me if I'm wrong, those were almost all number tuning... What did PA change that could require effort and man power? LOML manor life skills? Imperial turn ins? I'm still in the honeymoon phase, the world, the classes, life skills are the best I've ever experienced and above all the combat system, but I'll repeat it again: this game is being forgotten in favor of the new product and the sooner you guys accept it the better your experience in will be. Go play other games, belive me when I say it will refresh your love for the game and give you a better perspective. Sorry for the wall of text, old people talk a lot, cheers guys have fun out there :)
Meanwhile console only gets the pc events a few weeks late. Still no loml2, dosa awk, or karazad release dates. Zero communication. But maybe they'll have more info with the ps5 test in December 😂😂😂😂 **copium**
with all due respect unc, maybe dont talk so confidently when you, self admittedly, dont know whats going on lol these past patches we got the new accesories with their own systems, new grind zones, some classes got new skills with more to come, as you mentioned a new life skill, all of this needs man power btw just to point that out not to mention all the content we know they're working on since they announced it in the last road map, which is about to happen again btw, keep an eye out for Calpheon Ball, this game is very actively still being worked on

I havent got there, there only so much R spamm my index finger can manage xD Rest are all number changes, super easy to implement. So to get straight to the point: where is the content? Where are the improvements to existing dungeons? PvP modes? Even last few events from what I could gather here and ingame have been copy/pasted from past ones. What I'm saying is most of the creativity went to Crimson Desert save the last 2/3 patches. I am happy to see such a trend, I just hope it is not exclusively related to quaterly reports where PA is losing millions of dollars only on BDO. A company has to make money, yes, but that cannot be the only motivation behind it's actions. There needs to be a certain level of care for players' entertainment, a minimum of passion for their work... People can tell when a game is run only as a cash grab and to milk players, wether this understanding is even conscious or not it is irrelevant. They just leave. In the end I do not mean all of this in a negative connotation (beside the cash grab rabling lol), it's a good thing PA is working on Crimson Desert, BDO is a 10yo game afterl all, right? I've just noticed a lot of people, in game and on social media (yt, reddit, twitter w/e), feeling disappointed and disgruntled with the game. BDO is in such a weird state. Despite being Korean MMO, the company has made 80% of the revenue from the west(china just released) for years. However the patches have been heavily tilted towards PVErs leaked from lostark in Korea. Resulting no players being happy and PA making no money despite being still heavily P2W. Its like lose-lose situation where nobody is happy and everyone just gets toxic as fk. The game went from decent pvp game with best combat in genre => worst pve game with decent lifeskilling
Pitying karazad doesn't feel any better, "light at the end of the tunnel be damned" if anything it truly shows you how "fucked over" by the game you've gotten. It's a benchmark of at what point did the game finish having its way with you and now its gotten bored of fucking you. Most people would go "nope nope nope" im buying this shit and be over with it but not this time. Also, most people aren't counting their fails because they're better off not knowing. Then people tell them to just tap V debos but the hammers are going away so that won't be an option soon. Lots of players do not know about the struggles of pre-hammer debo tapping so when people try arguing it's "better" they go "HUH?" You got these new players that only know of the J hammer and at least its a one and done painful experience for a player and you're good to go. It was everything karazad except better in my opinion. No downgrades, no exploding, no crons. Good luck convincing new players that by comparison karazad is way cheaper and better.
Yeah, that "light at the end of the tunnel" doesn't really exist since when you get that upgrade you can still downgrade again unless you are maxed. Sure you get 1 stack for that higher pity, but that doesnt feel valuable when you know you'll just hit a success 1 tap away from pity
no this game needs more pve content for groups i'm not a fan of pvp i just hop server no problems or come back when there sleeping so not really a problem for me but the part that bugs me is there is not enough group aspects and when you look at the group areas they nerf them but why? they keep lowering the ap so no where to go
my biggest problem with kharazad is that they completely ruined 200% builds. now i know what you are going to say, 200% was always bad you clown!!!! yes im aware, but it was fun and while i had full pen tungrad i was still on par AP wise to someone that had full tet debos. now with the introduction of kharazad i feel like the bsr crystals are simply not good enough to justify gettting them. Now if i wanted to get my 200% bsr im throwing away 24 ap, 8 of those being sheet ap, so i end up with less ap than if i just kept my pen tungrad set. it makes no sense to me that they spent all that time updating a lot of classes 200% skills and the buff itself, only for them to release these garbage crystals that completely ruin any hope you had to ever being able to use the skill.
What? Tungrad acessories always had less ap than Debo. You compare pen tungrad with which you couldn’t progress gear anymore to tet Debo which you can progress with. They reworked 200% and then it felt like cool change for like 2% of players who just as you said were stupid to build tungrad and now 200% is an option to everyone if they want.
@@kuba5302 that was not my point, my point was PEN tungrad was the same as TET Debos. now if i want the same stats with kharazad i need to get PEN kharazad but if i put the crystals that give bsr in them im losing AP where i didnt before. Before i would only lose the 8 hidden ap from the debo set bonus, now i would lose 16 hidden ap and 8 sheet ap, which is terrible because it makes me lose brackets AND hidden ap.
I’d still say kharazad killed gear diversity. You build all AP jin crystals for grinding, and you get DR/evasion crystals depending on the color of your gloves for guild league. All the yellow accs in the game aren’t even worth melting, so they’re useless. Compared to what yellow accs used to be, this is just sad. Also, I fully expect to get sovereign subweps and armor as a “godr-ayed” way to finally get pen fallen god (which might be equal to oct or nov armor). At which point THE ENTIRE GEAR WHEEL will force you to enhance. Which will be obnoxious.
Positive thing you can casual and after some hour you do your attempt and you don’t feel the pain or keep saving for long to get one item , this system is satisfying but problem is cron stone they need to make alternatives resources and make it normal progress not hard (all past item lost their values by 90% I had 25 pen ogre attempt when tet was 15b) so make it normal progress at first let all people experience uncapped content and product more gear later by just exchanging old to news
Yeah they could have made kharazad customizable, but the actual implementation is pretty garbage since there are so few choices, and of the choices the straight AP is just better most of the time
i hate the Kharazad system, we just have to gamle for gs you are not able to just grind silver, then buy new BIS accsessory, you need to go down in gambling, farming for just a chance to get better gear. Someone can get GS with Kharazads wtihout crons, without crazy amount of FS, just cuz they are lucky, and other people need to grind for inf amount of time for crons to just TRY a single tap of their Kharazads.
I think this small reverse in players count is because of good event. Not Kharazad acc, because we still don't have diversity. We should get 3 type of Kharazad sets. AP, acc and DP to choose.

I don't think PvE bosses is the way to go for BDO, because it can't compete with other PvE games in the genre. Yes BDO have best combat, but you dont need the best combat, just " good combat" is enough and when it comes to Boss design and encounters BDO is light years away from games like WoW/FFXIV/Lost Ark. Why would you ever play BDO for PvE instead of retail WoW, FFXIV or Lost Ark. Blue you need to look some boss guides and video about raids and dungeons in this games and you will realize how pathetic BDO new bosses are in comparison.
The big problem with the new content is that the new content is party content, most of the players on bdo play the game solo And we got this new content because of you twitch stremers complaining that there is no party content (this content takes more time than solo content) Why are you surprised and why is Pearl Abyss surprised that solo players don't want to make party content? this game for more than 10 years was a solo game and that's why it's still alive . black desert would die if it had content similar to wow or final fantasy, because bdo is very paytowin and these games have a very loyal community
It was alive not cuz it has been single player. BDO has been carried by player made content that required close to zero intervention/effort/resources from PA cuz the players did everything with their guilds AKA open world pvp. Which they killed

@ well it’s been allot better and getting allot of positive feedback since the recent relaunch and most console players are Playing NW over throne & liberty. If Amazon doesn’t it f it up again it definitely has potential to do well this time around.

I like Karazad and Sovereign as a more casual player : getting to PEN is pretty achievable and really all you need for PvE, and you can progress to DEC slowly.
The problem is just the activities, if you don't like grinding or life skilling, you don't have much else to do
No as a casual player. It’s worst. You could buy all ur gear at one point now you need to grief your self and buy crons or pay 2 win heavily.
@LeonV2- you don't need that much crons to get to PEN Karazad or Sovereign... for Karazad you can even buy Debo and go straight to PEN or NOV, it's not efficient but you can do it.
The thing is you have to enhance it yourself and you cannot buy it from the market which makes it lame

New player here! My sister and I recently played through the msq and read all the dialog. We actually both really enjoyed the stone chamber storyline through the end of calpheon. I'm not sure what the jordine storyline was like before, but we found it to be an enjoyable story with the new updates :)

I even remember commenting on a video a while back commenting how if he hadn't been removed from the program yet he would be after that one. He may have taken that specific video down though because I couldn't find my comment
I'm a relatively new player to the game, and while improvements to catching up loot wise might be good for returning players, it just isn't that convincing for new players because they don't know what this stuff is. After playing through the main quest up to Mediah for the first time, and through Magnus, what they need to work on is one of the core parts of the gameplay, quests.
A couple friends also played through a bit of the very early game, and the quests in this game are just not that good. You can tell they put a ton of work into them, and I heard that they improved some of the main quests with new voice acting and stuff like that, but overall despite the lore being somewhat interesting the presentation is just so verbose. It's a joke that a lot of people seem to reference, just spamming R. It's TONS of dialogue being exposited like a barrage onto new players and it's just not captivating. The good parts of this game as a new player is the combat and exploration, and they just need to lean into that IMO and the game will be more popular. Less exposition of boring dialogue, less annoying puzzles, more combat/bosses (like Calpheon quest or Magnus final boss), more exploration. I've watched a lot of content creators talk about what this game needs and I haven't seen this talked about that much, but it seems super important

The Karazads where actually Biceps idea and he started asking for them when it got leaked they where gonna release Debo grade defensive accessories and Biceps started asking them not to and to do red or purple accessories with a type of reform stone (crystal slots) like sovereign weapons to bring back build diversity, and every detail of the Karazads except the being able to convert Tett & Pen Debos was Biceps idea and he was happy they listened and I think it was a step in the right direction and it benefited both new players & vets and as biceps said they single handedly with 1 new type of accessories can bring back build diversity. Oh the not being sellable on CM wasn’t Biceps he never mentioned anything about CM or the being able to convert Tett or Pen Debos but everything else was all his idea over releasing more Debos that make many quit . Easier then Debos for New players , Vets will benefit from converting to them and build diversity returns was his biggest points for these.
Its a step in the right direction. but its just that, a STEP. They need to continue walking this direction.
Things like reworking monetization reliance to fix the cron problem, making lifeskilling great again, adding group spots for grinding to solo zones and solo spots for grinding to group zones, and unique content like the rumored "demon tower".
We all play BDO so evidently were all obviously fine with doing the same thing repeatedly on a consistent basis, but its nice to switch things up every now and then. But currently BDO doesnt really have that. At least not without sacrificing a TON of efficiency which makes switching things up feel really bad.

So was I. I started some months after drak came out, I loved this game, i swore by this game 😂. 3.5k hrs later I started questioning why tf I was grinding in circles for hours and hours. Tnl came out and I haven't looked the other way since, sure I miss my big booba maegu and woosa, but man I just can't anymore.

Found a good guild Friendly Guild "Halloween" and so far I'm very impressed by the community. From someone who came from Neverwinter, KOTOR, WoW etc the comparison in communities isn't even close. The only thing I regret is not playing sooner.
Playing TL made me realise just how much I wasn't enjoying grinding in circles for hundreds, no thousands of hours with little to no gains to show for it. :)
At this point, this game just feels like a social experiment in how to wash people's minds into voluntary slavery.
It's probably obvious, but everything PearlAbyss does is aimed at making money, not about the player, and it's been like that for years... Kaharazad, Sovereign, and probably something else soon it is just to prevent you from getting equipment for free and buying it in the market... you have to free the market from free equipment and buy costumes to burn them on crons to raise new eq, which, surprisingly, you cannot sell to others for free... others have to do exactly the same, i.e. buy even more costumes and even more crons... that's the endgame of this 'game'
39:50 man you are on f point, the solo aspect is what I really like about this game, you can just hop on, grind if you want or just afk lifeskill. No one gonna instruct you to do this and that. It's so good when you have a family and would just like to login and chill.
i love the Karazad system, we just need content that rewards u for having them. more demanding grind spots and instanced content would be cool. i also things party boss blitz was a great idea. they just need to push more for content that asks that much out of u

The encounters in party boss blitz are a good first step to how demanding the encounters within raid content could b for BDO. Just because the player base has enjoyed single player focused content for this long doesn’t mean they don’t also want some variety content they can do with guild it’s and friends. It’s clear PA wants more of a PvE focus for the game moving forward. Single player only endgame isn’t going to cut it anymore. They killed PvP so they need things for people to do with friends to break up the monotony.

less than 100h for base gear, so u can do less the 1k h for mid gear, so could do less than 10k h for top gear, so u could do a few more thousands hours for treasure items, so u be fully prepare when they raise the bar

On Saturday Nov 16 , we are +387 and peaking at 16k. Karazad is a good step in right direction but I also think it is the yearly BDO killer MMO losing players and those players are coming back to BDO now.
Well at least you aren't trying to shit on me in this comment this time. I think BDO has hopefully hit the bottomed out point in how many players were going to leave so theoretically any positive changes to the game beyond now should result in much stronger player numbers. 1% gain isn't what I would consider growth especially when the changes to the game have been extensive. I would say they stemmed the bleading and we have stabilized for now. Here's hoping they keep moving in the right direction with the ball and upcoming updates.

You're definitely still mad but why do you still cover this game? You don't like the game anymore. The fact that you were even remotely surprised you got removed from the program and claimed to be positive in the week or two beforehand is crazy denial. karazad is a good thing but they dont thought it through in my opinion. you need so many higher to high failstacks and this is just a personal issue because i hate failstack progressing by heart. the biggest problem is that you now have to tap or buy pen accessories to receive dawn essences by heating to even upgrade karas. yes, you could buy them but on EU theyre already at 80m per piece and you need 12 for one try from sep to oct for example, thats almost 1b. so yea you technically need less cron stones for each try but you will lose it on other ressources now to progress through karas so its just feels ass ofc its not as brainless as 11k for one debo pen tap. it costs less overall but its ass to do and dawn essences will be at max price soon so it will get less cheaper and im 100% sure we will see times where there are no essences at all on cm with hundreds of preorders. the best or most efficient way is to tap yellow accs so you lose big fs there in order to get pens. you will need fairly high fs to progress through karas AND you will need high fs to progress sov weapons twice. fs fs fs fs fs everywhere and dont forget about your armors which need high fs aswell after tri.
I cba sitting there and doing fs with reblath and bs tets all day long. they really need to bring out a better mechanic or system to stack up fs. and of course theyre selling high fs right now in pearl shop, what a coincidence.
i really do love the game but they make it difficult for me sometimes.
I stopped playing because there isn't a purpose for my gear. Once they put gear progression behind bosses that require gear I'll come back, but atm I'm not in one of the 4 guilds that do siege so my gear doesn't matter at all.
Black shrine pt requires gear , plus you can do it with guildies to chase after rankings for more rewards

I am starting to experience what ya'll are saying. I started March 2024, Already at end game with sov weapons. Already starting to lose motivation to grind. just doing daily quest and login rewards and daily GBR as WH in other guild. there is no other way to progress further without buying/using crons, not unless you are insane and is doing an ironman challenge with the goal of getting dec sov and full dec karazad accesories without spending money or pearls or using the central market.
18:50 You can buy nov karazad accessories (pen debo), but not the final level.
Overall, not much has changed - just the items you have to interact with to enhance.
I think more of the problem is the lack of fun content. Even with objectively worse enhancement cycles, people happily played BDO when the content was steadily being churned out. When pvp changes were discussed, and the node war content was actually acceptable (albeit laggy and janky), people were warring regularly.
People are willing to run circles to some extent, maybe for treasure items, but not for eternity. A better solution would be more content like the new black shrine that can provide around 4-5b/week and you could decide to collect immediately instead of compete. More options to improve gear that include at least somewhat entertaining activities.
BDO devs put what they want in the game and hope that people will like it. That's simply how I've come to understand from talking with cm's for the years I played the game. These accessories are the wrong direction but they don't care. I agree with the point that they should reset gear to get rid of debos and new accessories but I'd never redo quests and I think there is noticeable size of the player base that share that opinion. How they fix it, I really don't know.

I think Kharazad are decent but will be very difficult for new players to get a hold of as each one costs roughly 2bil to craft and essence is fairly expensive for a low gs player who can't farm cresent/doluns.
Before 1 mounth ago that was 45b tet debo bro and jetina crescent 12b cost each tet disto 15b++ this way is much much easiest by just making them tri
You are meant to farm at Honglim base and get the essence that way, That spot can easily be over 1 bil an hour, With very little stats required to do it.

I feel like we need Crons to be reworked, ppl dont like to lose progress for RNG, Crons should be way more cheaper and they could find another way to make outfits profitable, maybe a stack increaser item.

Yep I enjoy the being able to go solo for progression because no one can gate keep me like in other games where ppl won’t let you run Co Op if your new , don’t have max gear which you need to get from dungeon your trying to run etc..
Here some idea that BDO could easly do but will never :
What bdo could do is create a passive tree, make removable cc ( like u click on the cc to chose if u want the skill to cc or not ),
Create Mount like mob in node wars that arent realy mont but like a flamethrower that player can use while moving ( basically a char or tank that either do little area damage, or give support for near players like heal/buff/debuff ),
-role passive like : u choose tank and u take 15% less damage and deal 20% less damage.
Dps deal 25% more damage to Cced target and take 15%more damage from all source.
Support all source of heal is shared to ally for 20% to 50% potency
Make Cc give rage so rage based build would be better, like when u cc someone u generate 5% of spirit rage.
Weapon effect like : infused the cold of winter into the black star for it to now have a chance to deal 200 cold damage with 10% chance or apply a dot of cold damage every 5 second for 15 sec on the target and a chance to freezer them if they arent in SA or Ifram...
The same for Fire but fire wouldnt be with cc effect but more offensive like 200 damage every 2 sec for 16sec.
Air have a chance to restore stamina when hit by an ennemie and gain 10 Dr...
Emote création since u can make ur character do some pose in the character création they should give us a way to save the pose and use it as an motionless emote

I think they should improve the pity system, it shouldn't reset on a success and once you pity it can't downgrade below that level. There is nothing worse than say hitting pitty going from say TRI to TET then you fail the PEN attempt and now you are back to the TET hell where you just pitied and are on 0 agris. They can adjust how much you need to pity but with Kharazad and Sovereign weapons there are so many stages you have to cron because you are just going to keep bouncing around and blowing expensive fail stacks.
There is just too much of a variance between a lucky person and an unlucky person. Luck should be a factor but it is brutal in games like BDO and LA. Sould Player B have to put in literally thousands more hours to reach the same gear score as player A just due to luck?
Ultimately, with gear it is both a time sink and a resource sink. T&L time gates you so you can only do X instances for gear upgrades a week, we have timers on rift bosses and world bosses but for the most part gear used to just be dropped base, this was the time sink. The currency sink was failing to craft or buying from someone who did it for you.
If we aren't going to have the failure rates of enhancement or cron cost then they will just keep adding artificial time sinks, like needing that rift boss drop for DEC attempts. I think a bigger issue is the lack of sidegrades, before Kharazad and Debo you had different accessories for different builds and different content, we pretty much just have one path for everything. If Kharazad was less of a one shoe fits all system and we had say 5 different versions of Kharazad that came from different content and each had strengths and weaknesses you can afford to not dump all the time gating and resource sink on the one set of accessories because people would be gathering different sets.
Another major problem with Kharazad and Sovereign weapon system, I am never making this shit twice. So I have my main that I play and the copy. There is no point having a gazillion classes because the rest of my alts are in Tuvala and I am never going to play them properly because I aint doing this shit grind for every one of them. I think it detracts from having a wide range of classes to play. There is too much investment required for a single character, with Lost Ark, once you hit a certain gear score level, your enhancement rate and material requirement for gear below that threshold change so it is significant easier to gear alts and catch them up to be just below your main.
To add if PA removed someone for talking about the bad parts of them game the way this guy did just taking an non hostile or Doom approach just respectfully discussing it and giving criticism that is much needed then something is wrong. Like there is nothing wrong with his approach to discussing the current problems. If they removed him or choice for how they approach the downsides of the game I would not even want to be a content creator anymore for them.
In my eyes they simply need to make our gear worthwile. I have 730 GS now. 321 Main AP 412 DP. i can grind pretty much every spot. Other than treasure items i have no reason to continue playing. Getting gear in the past was for pvp purposes but now.. idk what to do with my gear other than just grind treasure items.
For Karazad itself? Not having to save 35+ bil all at once for +1/2 ap is really, really nice.
I do hate BDO's enhance system. Its the opposite of fun, but at least you can go "it x crons per attempt, so X million/billion per click".
Steam numbers for MMO's are a little less important than some people give them credit for, especially if the game didnt initially release on steam.
Its a great way to see your retention of the steam-only crowd, or for newer players, but its typically less good for enfranchised players, and the longer the game wasnt on steam, the less good it is for that demographic.
Everquest is on Steam now, and the steam numbers are basically worthless for figuring out trends, because the only people playing it on steam are people who saw it on steam 20+ years after its launch. Guild Wars 2 released on Steam a decade after it launched, and there was a relatively meaningless amount of players who switched to it, the rest are new players. The trends for that game tend to follow the trends for most free to play MMO's. People pick it up, get to the point they have to make a purchase, then a bunch go "well fuck me thats a big purchase, ill go play some other $1 steam game" and a large chunk of the players fall off.
The numbers do matter, but you have to make sure you're looking at the part of the playerbase they matter for or its still a bit of junk in junk out.
BDO released on steam 2 years after launch, about 7 years ago, so the numbers for it will more resemble the overall playerbase.

All bdo 'updates' in recent years are just 'fix' or 'correction' but definitely not 'updates'. It's better and improving but the game have almost no new content or new purpose, it's still the same game 3 years ago (or worse for pvper). I don't see any chance for the game to come back unless the director step down or the crimson desert hit hard, earn them a shit ten of money and they are willing to remaster bdo again.

Karazad were a step in the right direction, simply for not destroying on a failure; but they really missed the mark for what players want with this Cron system. Unfortunately they have not built their store in a way that incentivizes anything different. There are plenty of possible solutions, but a RUclips comment wouldn't be the place to go through them all.
BDO is a PVE game, and they try to get new players, Which, who is willing to play 5th most popular mmo, when they can play WoW or FF? I've seen this before, Planetside 2. BDO has about 3 - 5 years left of actually coming back. but at this rate it's highly unlikely.

All servers have open world pvp, w/ the exception of season servers and new olvia. The difference between normal and arsha servers is that you need to press alt +c on normal servers to flag for pvp.
Yea arsha servers are a pvp free for all theres no punishment for killing anyone on those servers. Just don’t kill anyone on any other servers or you will go red and its a pain to get un red.
Its not just about the enhancement system, grinding silver per hour is bad, making 1B per hour is to slow when you have to spend 150 billion on a weapon and you need 3, it takes way to loong to achive and while you grind ppl are killing you and make you not wanting to play, item drops are extremely hard as well so the game feels to slow of a progress even with all the free bs

@ the thing is the game is hard to pick up for new people and u combine that with rng, bad silver per hour, crons, caphras and a lot of things and it will take you a year just to get to 630 something gs with all the free stuff, you see the old players complain bc they dont want you to catch up, catching up means no more abusing on grinding spots and no more pvp fights where you look like the main character. The thing is this game needs to have players running around and interacting not just you alone doing cirlcles for hours just to get silver, it makes you grind alone also. The reality is that a game that relies on pvp to be a playable game needs to consistently be on the pvp side such as class balance and playability with each class, that alone make people will stay more than making the game harder. Basically you have two sides pve is supposed to be very fun, team based and cool while pvp is supposed to be fun but challenging they dont hit this and its boring to grind 3 hours while getting killed by 3 ppl from a guild thats clearly stonger than you for one bill just bc they want to

Hey Blue, could you please consider talking about cross play and allowing console players to use acct they have worked so hard for on pc. It seems fairly simple to me but maybe you and the rest of the old moon guys might have insight on why that can’t happen or hasn’t happened. I think it would be an interesting talking point for your console viewers and maybe others as well. Maybe some attention at your level could help us out over here on console to get some attention because a large majority of console players have pc’s and don’t want to invest the time and finances into a separate account. There was hope for content but clearly we will get it when I’m old and thumbless. Just a suggestion on a talking point I feel could be productive because you DO make a difference in our community

For the people who keep saying that PVE is what brought players into the game-
Enough people quit after devs changed NW and essentially removed open world PVP that the game lost literally HALF of the playerbase compared to last year. You're out of your mind if you think PVPers didn't take up *AT LEAST HALF* of the active playerbase and kept the game alive.
PA only listens to Korea, and since they're all PVE Andies that shit their pants any time someone asks to DFS, they removed any option to PVP without capped gear. Why else would you grind if not to gain more gear for PVP? You people are coping so hard.
I started playing about a couple of months ago, right now I'm taking my time exploring life skills and tryng different classes.
I've been playing MMOs since Dark Age of Camelot, I'm an old fart and all... just saying this to give some background, no bragging and there would not be anything to brag here anyway, right?
One thing seems clear to me: developers are busy with the other game and have completely abandoned this one save the very minimun required to keep the game running.
The last two round of patches were packed with changes yes, but, correct me if I'm wrong, those were almost all number tuning... What did PA change that could require effort and man power? LOML manor life skills? Imperial turn ins?
I'm still in the honeymoon phase, the world, the classes, life skills are the best I've ever experienced and above all the combat system, but I'll repeat it again: this game is being forgotten in favor of the new product and the sooner you guys accept it the better your experience in will be.
Go play other games, belive me when I say it will refresh your love for the game and give you a better perspective.

these past patches we got the new accesories with their own systems, new grind zones, some classes got new skills with more to come, as you mentioned a new life skill, all of this needs man power btw just to point that out
not to mention all the content we know they're working on since they announced it in the last road map, which is about to happen again btw, keep an eye out for Calpheon Ball, this game is very actively still being worked on

New grindzones, again correct me if I'm wrong, are all "tower spawns reskinned pre-existing mobs". Feels... low effort...
New skills are amazing, props to PA, they're cooking there and made me genuinely curious about new adjustment to the classes I play.
I've missed the new life skill, is it the LOML.2 manor stuff? I havent got there, there only so much R spamm my index finger can manage xD
Rest are all number changes, super easy to implement.
So to get straight to the point: where is the content? Where are the improvements to existing dungeons? PvP modes?
Even last few events from what I could gather here and ingame have been copy/pasted from past ones.
What I'm saying is most of the creativity went to Crimson Desert save the last 2/3 patches.
I am happy to see such a trend, I just hope it is not exclusively related to quaterly reports where PA is losing millions of dollars only on BDO.
A company has to make money, yes, but that cannot be the only motivation behind it's actions. There needs to be a certain level of care for players' entertainment, a minimum of passion for their work...
People can tell when a game is run only as a cash grab and to milk players, wether this understanding is even conscious or not it is irrelevant. They just leave.
In the end I do not mean all of this in a negative connotation (beside the cash grab rabling lol), it's a good thing PA is working on Crimson Desert, BDO is a 10yo game afterl all, right?

Despite being Korean MMO, the company has made 80% of the revenue from the west(china just released) for years. However the patches have been heavily tilted towards PVErs leaked from lostark in Korea.
Resulting no players being happy and PA making no money despite being still heavily P2W.

Pitying karazad doesn't feel any better, "light at the end of the tunnel be damned" if anything it truly shows you how "fucked over" by the game you've gotten. It's a benchmark of at what point did the game finish having its way with you and now its gotten bored of fucking you. Most people would go "nope nope nope" im buying this shit and be over with it but not this time. Also, most people aren't counting their fails because they're better off not knowing.
Then people tell them to just tap V debos but the hammers are going away so that won't be an option soon. Lots of players do not know about the struggles of pre-hammer debo tapping so when people try arguing it's "better" they go "HUH?"
You got these new players that only know of the J hammer and at least its a one and done painful experience for a player and you're good to go. It was everything karazad except better in my opinion. No downgrades, no exploding, no crons. Good luck convincing new players that by comparison karazad is way cheaper and better.
Yeah, that "light at the end of the tunnel" doesn't really exist since when you get that upgrade you can still downgrade again unless you are maxed. Sure you get 1 stack for that higher pity, but that doesnt feel valuable when you know you'll just hit a success 1 tap away from pity
no this game needs more pve content for groups i'm not a fan of pvp i just hop server no problems or come back when there sleeping so not really a problem for me but the part that bugs me is there is not enough group aspects and when you look at the group areas they nerf them but why? they keep lowering the ap so no where to go

my biggest problem with kharazad is that they completely ruined 200% builds. now i know what you are going to say, 200% was always bad you clown!!!! yes im aware, but it was fun and while i had full pen tungrad i was still on par AP wise to someone that had full tet debos. now with the introduction of kharazad i feel like the bsr crystals are simply not good enough to justify gettting them. Now if i wanted to get my 200% bsr im throwing away 24 ap, 8 of those being sheet ap, so i end up with less ap than if i just kept my pen tungrad set. it makes no sense to me that they spent all that time updating a lot of classes 200% skills and the buff itself, only for them to release these garbage crystals that completely ruin any hope you had to ever being able to use the skill.
What? Tungrad acessories always had less ap than Debo. You compare pen tungrad with which you couldn’t progress gear anymore to tet Debo which you can progress with. They reworked 200% and then it felt like cool change for like 2% of players who just as you said were stupid to build tungrad and now 200% is an option to everyone if they want.
@@kuba5302 that was not my point, my point was PEN tungrad was the same as TET Debos. now if i want the same stats with kharazad i need to get PEN kharazad but if i put the crystals that give bsr in them im losing AP where i didnt before. Before i would only lose the 8 hidden ap from the debo set bonus, now i would lose 16 hidden ap and 8 sheet ap, which is terrible because it makes me lose brackets AND hidden ap.

I’d still say kharazad killed gear diversity. You build all AP jin crystals for grinding, and you get DR/evasion crystals depending on the color of your gloves for guild league. All the yellow accs in the game aren’t even worth melting, so they’re useless. Compared to what yellow accs used to be, this is just sad.
Also, I fully expect to get sovereign subweps and armor as a “godr-ayed” way to finally get pen fallen god (which might be equal to oct or nov armor). At which point THE ENTIRE GEAR WHEEL will force you to enhance. Which will be obnoxious.
Positive thing you can casual and after some hour you do your attempt and you don’t feel the pain or keep saving for long to get one item , this system is satisfying but problem is cron stone they need to make alternatives resources and make it normal progress not hard (all past item lost their values by 90% I had 25 pen ogre attempt when tet was 15b) so make it normal progress at first let all people experience uncapped content and product more gear later by just exchanging old to news
Yeah they could have made kharazad customizable, but the actual implementation is pretty garbage since there are so few choices, and of the choices the straight AP is just better most of the time
i hate the Kharazad system, we just have to gamle for gs you are not able to just grind silver, then buy new BIS accsessory, you need to go down in gambling, farming for just a chance to get better gear. Someone can get GS with Kharazads wtihout crons, without crazy amount of FS, just cuz they are lucky, and other people need to grind for inf amount of time for crons to just TRY a single tap of their Kharazads.
As if it wasn't the case for every single piece of gear in this game

I don't think PvE bosses is the way to go for BDO, because it can't compete with other PvE games in the genre. Yes BDO have best combat, but you dont need the best combat, just " good combat" is enough and when it comes to Boss design and encounters BDO is light years away from games like WoW/FFXIV/Lost Ark. Why would you ever play BDO for PvE instead of retail WoW, FFXIV or Lost Ark. Blue you need to look some boss guides and video about raids and dungeons in this games and you will realize how pathetic BDO new bosses are in comparison.
