thanks for the info, but too late seeing this. I already ordered 1. I'm getting it replaced with Garmin loyalty offer. I had an old 2008 or 2007 nuvi 260w and they are sending me the drive smart 55 traffic. I only paid $114. I can't seem to find how old this DS-55 thing is. But, my nuvi quit working just this yr, trying to update in garmin express. But it is an upgrade compared to the 2007 nuvi LOL! Iam in the US. so, there may be a difference in the mapping and historical marks. I have unlimited data on my phone so, we'll see how it all works..excited to try it. thanks for the video though.
Hi, and thanks for your comment. Yes, I heard about the loyalty program offer from Garmin. About the US, yes, over there features like National Parks, buildings, and Historical Locations are more often updated than in Canada. Try, test, and if not at the end you decide do you like it or not. Peace
@randomguy1882 it was a customer loyalty. Since I had the nuvi already purchased in 2007, they gave me a deal. I took it. I set it all up I think but haven't found a perfect spot for it in my truck yet still fiddling around with it.
@@2012CHR2012 Thanks for answering my question. I have another question. Is the "customer loyalty" something you had to pay for? Or is it something everyone gets when we buy a Garmin GPS? I previously had a Garmin GPS (nuvi 65 LMT) that I bought in 2016, but it recently stopped working after 7+ years. I ordered the DriveSmart 55 with Traffic and received it about a week ago. I don't remember my old nuvi 65 LMT or my new DriveSmart 55 saying anything about a "customer loyalty" benefit. However, it's possible I may have just overlooked it in the manual or the advertisement.
Are you sure there is no active lane guidance in Germinn drivesmart 55 & Traffic?
I tested in Canada and I cannot see that feature.
@@EugeniuCeban85 Thank you very much for your information.

You only paid $114 for yours? I bought the same GPS as you, but I paid $153 (I bought it at Amazon). Where did you buy yours?

To see the lanes you have to use the turns function in settings. It will pop up on right side of screen.
My pleasure
Go back to Putin.
What do you mean?
