    I can imagine Will Ferrell doing a Peter Zeihan skit "don't tell me where the Himalayas are you son of a bitch I'm Peter Zeihan!"

    Peter, can you talk about China moving their industry into. Mexico to avoid U.S. Tariffs? True or false?

    8:15 “separated by the Himalayan’s” … prolly meant the Andes, right?

    I think the US should make Mexico its new “china” by which I mean that Mexico should be where we will get our cheap goods from. Mexico also has plentiful resources, not to mention a lithium deposit they have discovered.

      After Covid and enetering a deglobalized…..globe, the U.S. is moving it supply changing to Central America and Mexico. If the cheap stuff doesn’t come from Mexico it will probably come from Central America.

      China is making Mexico grow as they move their industry into Mexico to bypass U.S. tariffs.

    No Taiwan has not been preparing for war with China for 45 years. Most of that time they have been very favorable toward China. It's only of late that they've done anything meaningful about their military defense

    Could people use the law of return via sterilized pH adjusted biosolids and the 73% of everything that goes into a landfill be composted at facilities run by inmates to mitigate our reliance on the habor bosh process (how ammonia for fertilizer is made) through large scale biointensive farming fed by institutional composting?

    What happens now that the Saudis have said no more Middle East oil is going to the USA?

    • @tancar2004
      @tancar2004 16 дней назад +7

      Have they said that? I hadn't heard that one. Anyway over the last 20 years shale oil has made the NAFTA countries energy independent. The USA exports more oil than we import and a lot of our imports are from Canada and Mexico.

      When did they say that? Please provide a source for this claim.

      They said that because it is true. They can't sell any oil to the USA because the USA won't buy their oil anymore. The USA has an oil glut.

      @BevenOiCarrinuinn 16 дней назад +3

      they have said no such thing, but if they did there would be little effect. the USA has been a net exporter of oil for decades at this point and what we do import mostly comes out of canada.

      The Saudis are in big trouble ,, USA has made it clear that they will no longer be the Saudis protectors ,, Saudis are incapable of protecting themselves so they need someone to buddy up with ,,,, maybe Turkey?

    Well, I think we can do better than this gloomy picture. Feeding populations can greatly be secured by producing less meat. And all maritime powers can secure their merchant fleets with available naval powers. We still will benefit from some levels of globalization like we have done for centuries.
