In the old days man tried to catch a glimpse of the future in the strangest of ways.
Experience the ancient Swedish phenomena of year walking through a different kind of first person adventure that blurs the line between two and three dimensions as well as reality and the supernatural.
Venture out into the dark woods where strange creatures roam, on a vision quest set in 19th century Sweden. Solve cryptic puzzles, touch and listen in your search to foresee the future and finally discover if your loved one will love you back.
Mysteries and clues await everywhere in Year Walk, but to fully understand the events that took place on that cold New Year's Eve, you will have to delve deeper than the adventure and lose yourself between fact and fiction.

The Year Walk Companion is the definitive guide to the mysterious myths and creatures encountered in the game Year Walk. A free mini-encyclopedia to keep handy when playing, or in preparation of your adventure. Or perhaps for contemplation after having finished your year walk?

2022, I still think about this game. I have a deep love for it.

Swedish game rules u know ;) this is my favorite horror game.
Finished this last night and loved it. Very creepy, super stylish, and I especially enjoyed the lore. The companion app is absolutely essential for getting the full experience. Highly recommend it!
Purchased on iPhone during release, finally got around to playing it on my Steam PC account 7 years later.

I have just finished the game. The visuals are beautiful in a macabre sort of way. I wished it was a but longer. You'll g a code at the end which can be used to unlock a journal or the companion app. PM me for hints if interested.

Gorgeous visuals, sound is beautiful, and it's the only game I have ever played which genuinely frightened me. It doesn't matter playing it again, I still get chills all over when it's scary!
Shame, such a good game should be relased at least on PC, not mobile platforms only.

this game was fantastic and amazing but..... IT WAS TOO SHORT >_>?. I finished it in 2 hours, without Google or anything... the puzzle's at first were a bit but then I just got the hang of it and flew by through them. Then all of a sudden the game ends?... I'm going to be honest it is not worth 4 bucks on the Appstore. it is worth .99
Other games like PVZ are way longer yet cost 1-2 dollars cheaper than The Year Walk. Still loves this game and I hope they can make a sequel.

One of the most exciting games Ive played on the iPhone. Although it is short, the quality is fantastic. And yes it does cost more than most apps in the app store. However, Im willing

It's probably a lot easier to make on iPhone because of apple's fantastic graphics APIs, that being said its still doable on android I'm sure.

Interesting and thought provoking; we liked the aesthetics of the piece and gave it a thumbs up.
Swedish tradition of showing the future. It takes a lot of rituals like spending the night in a abandoned house in a forest and going in midnight to the church, on the way to the church you meet some friendly monsters who are gonna pass you or/and look at you.

If you play the game you'll see why it could be a difficult port: it makes quite hefty use of features like multi-touch (I think that's the term anyway).
Just iOS? Come on, show Android and Steam some love.

Just played this. Great little game. Yes it is short but it's the quality of the experience that matters. This is the most essential game app since
I can't decide which game I like better- Year Walk or Superbrothers: Sword and Sworcery. Both are beautiful, artistic, intriguing indie games with a great story and fantastic art style. Decisions, decisions.
