I love and appreciate how Gayle never seemed to try to live above her means years prior to getting multimillion dollar gigs at CBS and CNN, and now that she has, she’s showing financial appreciation to Oprah, who’s been so rich for so long that nobody seem to realize that she hasn’t experienced something as simple as a shopping spree paid for by someone else. I’m glad Gayle was the first to give that to her. Most people envy Oprah’s wealth without realizing the burden of what it means to be “the rich one” in most groups that you’re in. People often don’t realize that the gifter needs gifting, too.

I know the feeling. I have learned major life altering things from lady O . And I think her wisdom comes from all the experiences she has collected through life via the many amazing people she has interviewed and learned from. She is also on her 60s which means she has lived and has seen many things and learned a lot. Plus she reads so much too. She has truly taught many of us a lot and helped us get through hard things. Has opened our minds and catalyzed change both small and big in millions of humans.

Oprah and Gayle's road trip was so funny because they are both very different travelers. They should really do something like that again because it was fun to watch as a viewer. 😂
The whole time they were talking I was thinking or their in/famous road trip! Their road trip series was full of all different types of emotions. My goal is to drive across Route 66 or up the west coast after seeing their trip.

My best friend and I are both educators and hearing the gratitude that Oprah had for Gayle paying for her shopping spree made me cry. I typically pay when I go out with friends so having someone who really loves you sneak off to pay for you without you knowing is like having your heart filled up with overflow. Thank you both for sharing that story. It filled me up a little too.

On recent Eid, I gave my uncle a new shirt that I bought a couple size too small for myself. He seemed over the moon happy about it and thanked me many times and I believe it's not because he couldnt afford it (he has been the most financially well done one in the fam since I can remember) but because he's always been the one at the giving side, that he's forgotten the feel of receiving anything from other people. It gave me a new perspective and I promise not to leave him out of the list anymore just because he already has everything. Really it's the thought that matters.
I have that relationship with my two older sisters. No matter what we are doing we take care of each other.
O G Chronicles is a favorite together viewing for me and my mom, we've enjoyed each topic, hopefully there will be many more for us to share, great conversation/discussion starters 👍🏽

Always a 15 minute "grace" period to show up for lunch, dinner -- meeting in the hotel lobby to gather and go to a group function together. Unless there is text or phone call with a very very good reason to be late --- time to leave. Showing up late is a form of control and I am controlled by no one.
I love the friendship you all have. It is a rare thing in this age of competing and comparing vs complimenting and compassion. The "OG" Chronicles is so perfect!! God speed to you both.

I love you two. I live full time in my motor home, 25’, and tow a Jeep Wrangler. I am leaving on the 13th of June, with a tour group (the company makes all the Rv park and campground reservations along with activities reservations) headed for British Columbia, The Yukon and Alaska for SIXTY days. I looked at the schedule and I will be in Denali National Park on my 75th birthday 🥳🥳🥳🥳

I disagree with paying for your grown children’s vacations unless you’re a millionaire/billionaire like Gayle & Oprah which most parents aren’t so clearly they can’t relate. Adult children need to learn to be adults too
I really enjoyed this. I haven’t been able to travel abroad in over 15 years. Actually I haven’t been able to travel inward either. I guess I have been doing so much financially thinking I was helping family and friends that my money became funny. It’s too late to gain the financial wealth that you guys have so my deck in my backyard will have to do. I appreciate you sharing and answering questions for people.
