    Hi Yulia, I just came to Montreal in december 22, I just seen your video. You said that you can claim you moving expenses. When you say moving expenses, do you mean all the cost for the replenishment of your new house. You were eligible to claim this? Am in the same position, as the person in an office did not tell me this and the latter already filed my return. I need another advise, can we file an amended tax return and if NOT can this moving expenses be claimed on next financial year ? Thank you so much.

    Hi! Can you make a video and tell us what's the difference between Associates Degree and Bachelor's degree if there's a great huge disadvantage between them to get a job in Canada or in any other country? In Brazil, my country, there are only colleges that take 4 years or more to get a degree. Thanks for reading.

    • @ThisisYulia
      @ThisisYulia  Год назад +2

      Lucas, an Associate's Degree is typically a two-year degree that is offered by colleges, a Bachelor's degree can be obtained both in colleges and universities. In terms of job prospectives, it really depends on your major. For some industries 2 years is enough to get you hired, for others you'll need a Bachelor's degree. Hope that helps!

    Hey @Yulia, I absorbed everything you shared even better than my professor, haha! Quick question: Since I began my first semester on January 5, 2023, but arrived in Canada on December 25th, 2022, and paid my university tuition in December 2022, can I claim this tuition payment on my 2023 tax return? even i paid on Dec 2022 my rent in advance for January, BTW from your experience can I deduct my rent expenses if paid on Dec2022 for Jan 2023rent, or rent expenses is not deductible?

    • @changchang6511
      @changchang6511 2 месяца назад

      From my real experience, we can’t claim because you paid your tuition in advance, it counts towards your tuition of the month you officially you started school, you can check with your school T2022 slip for your case

    Hey Yulia! Do you meant to keep every normal receipt every time, or only if we have company or we are a self employee? Or we can refund taxes for a lot of things as a normal citizen? Thanks.

    • @ThisisYulia
      @ThisisYulia  Год назад +1

      Hey there! Citizens don't get refunds for purchasing day-to-day items, they do get refunds for income. As for the receipts, I personally keep them only for major expenses like buying a laptop, a new screen, a car, etc., so I can write them off when filing taxes. Hope this helps!
