That one is a killer. Would’ve got him or Branch easily.

      @@cardiacatsbrand You can't put a price on a back-up RB/TE that you barely use ;-p

I would not mind the jaguars going o-line on day 1 you can never be to good in the trenches.

I'd be good with it too, I'd love to get either Fashanu or Fuaga with our first pick! That'll probably require a move up to #13 though realistically since the Saints would easily take one of those guys at #14 if one is there.

Last years draft class wasn't as deep as most let alone this class. Last years theme seemed to be trade back and swing as much as possible and also try to have players sit and develop year one. Sadly, we had more injuries last year vs the year prior and we either didn't keep most of that draft class or able to use them effectively (See Strange and Bigsby) I am 300% fine taking great players regardless of position and taking a player before needing one. We have 2 tackles on expiring contracts and this class happens to be deep there. We should be trying to build a team long term with the draft. I think the point I am trying to make vs just rambling is that. I dig developing players, I think the fan base might be a bit rabid for lower production year 1 guys with day 1-2 picks.

I agree, I think we need to focus way more on how good the player is than the position. We can't force ourselves into just seeing one position as an option for a selection. There's a lot of different ways you can go and if you'll probably fill most of your needs doing it as well. This draft lines up well with needs.

I still think JPJ is still on the table depending on if we move down and how the draft falls.

I think he should be, but I doubt he is. It would require two things imo, those being him falling into the second round as well as the Jaguars seeing him as a legitimate option at guard. I say that because he might be able to start there quicker since Scherff will be gone before Morse most likely.

This is a pretty good IOL class. We have pretty much the same guys, except I have Taliese Fuaga and Jordan Morgan as OT's and I have Troy Fautanu as an OG only. IMO, I have Jackson Powers-Johnson as my top IOL. This guy is the best Center prospect I've seen since Frank Ragnow. I think he's elite. I then have Troy Fautanu at #2. I like Dominick Puni quite a bit more than you do. I think Puni is the most versatile O-Lineman in this draft. I think he could play all 5 positions at a pretty high level. He's my #3. Cooper Beebe is my #4, Christian Haynes is my #5, Zach Frazier is my #6, Zak Zinter is #7, Christian Mahogany is #8, Mason McCormick is #9 and Brandon Coleman is my #10. I was very disappointed by Sedrick Van Pran this season. I think he has peaked. He didn't elevate his game at all, he was quite a bit lighter and slower than I expected. I don't think he's gonna be a bad prospect, by any means. I still like him. I just don't see him being the elite Center prospect I thought he might be, when I watched him in 2022. I still think he will be a good NFL player, but maybe more along the lines of what Mitch Morse was in his prime. I currently have Van Pran and Tanor Bortolini battling it out for my #3 Center position, followed by Hunter Nourzad and Matt Lee.

If Fuaga is classified as a tackle, I completely agree with JPJ being the top guy.

@@cardiacatsbrand I know we're both huge Fuaga fans, we just see him in different positions. I still say we need to do anything possible to get a #1 WR though. With the Texans adding Diggs, they are now 3 deep at WR and we still have the worst WR room in the division. We just keep falling further behind.

Yeah, we’re playing their game which is stupid. Should’ve reset our roster building process this offseason and start focusing on swinging for more impact players in the draft than special teamers.

Yep, we're gonna need to build this team right for a couple years before we are firmly in the driver's seat again. I doubt the front office even comes close to doing that.
