From the myriad of videos on putting, with so many opinions, this is one of the the most balanced and informative. Thank you Todd.

Excellent tip on Putting Todd! I have always considered myself a good putter! I try to stay below 36 putts a round. I have been playing the ball centered in my stance, upright shaft position and a straight back and straight through method. After viewing your video, I decided to use the natural shaft angle method, ball slightly forward, slight shaft forward lean. On the backswing, I bent back the right wrist slightly and held this through the stroke. End result was 29 putts for the round. I had six one putts, one zero putt, one three putt. When I did miss, it wasn't by much. Thanks Todd! I think you have given me a winning combination.

John, you are spot on with what you said: "bent back the right wrist slightly and held this through the stroke". I tried this and it is deadly. Some near-perfect rolls. Thanks Todd and thanks John for the insight and tip. It's going right into my putting-tips book!

Great drill. I found using my dominant had putting on indoor mat I could make 70% from 6 feet. This percentage dropped when I went to two hands, because I changed the position of my dominant hand on the grip to accommodate two hands. So started using a slightly different grip and with practice it works better. The one thing I noticed using only the dominate hand was that I needed a bit more follow through on the putt.
Bottom line this drill caused me to use a bit more wrist, it also encouraged me to change my grip a bit to allow my dominate had to work as it did in the drill.
    This has helped.
    Thanks.

Thank you for clearing all of this up! I watched the video and immediately tested it out on my putting mat (aiming for the smaller hole). Holing way more putts.

Ascending stroke with slightly negative loft,. The combination is different for everyone on how we get there. Great video.

Coach, I love putting; it's my favourite part of golf as well practice.
In the last 10 to 12 rounds of golf, I'll say a maximum of 3 to 5 3putts.
The mental approach to my putting is key and staying calm is a bonus.
If I were to have a weakness in putting it, it would be laziness to walk the green to read all angles of the roll.
Normally, when I go to practice, I'll spend 2 1hour sessions putting. I ❤️ it!!!!!!!!!

You are spot on. Putting is the best place to save strokes on the scorecard.

Todd -- this video speaks about moving your shoulders, arms and wrists. However, you also posted a video " This putting drill will save you 5 stokes per round" that talks about keeping the wrist locked to hit the ball on a upward trajectory with the club with a downward angle. Can you explain why the two different approaches?

Goof question. For beginners we teach the concept of passive hands as it is easier to comprehend. As the students progress we add some slight wrist movement as it improves touch and feel. Make sense?

What you describe as using all parts is what I describe as shoulder. Where wrists dont break and arms stay connected to body.
