Well played, I used to listen only the Brassed off version, now there is this one too. Great Job guys!
Soloist is excellent, very good rendition, almost as good as the “Brassed Off” version
Did you know...? Joaquin Rodrigo was a Spanish composer who was almost totally blind from age 3, when he contracted diptheria. By his 40's, he was totally blind. This piece is actually the second movement of the Concierto de Aranjuez. This part of the composition was something he wrote when under a heavy mantle of grief. Some accounts say that his wife was having a complicated pregnancy and he thought she was dying, but she did not die, but they did lose the baby. The grief was for fear of losing his wife who he loved very much and depended on heavily. Other accounts say that the piece was about his sadness at the loss of the baby. At any rate, this music simply reverberates with loss and sadness. It creeps right into the heart and one can feel his pain and desperation. I have never heard anything quite as deep-reaching and touching before or since I first heard this piece. For me, the best rendition is where I first heard it on the movie "Brassed Off", but this variation is quite beautiful too. Not very different, just a little slower.
I know that Rodrigo wrote this for guitar but I think heaven had in mind the Flugelhorn.
I dont know, but i am just emotionally connected to this.
Just plain old good work Fellas. Thanks from Philadelphia.
I still like the Brassed Off version best but this one is also good, better than many others around.
This version is close to the version in Brass off
So Beautiful 😮😢🙏
This piece is so moving touching my heart with such power and grace. I can scarcely believe it's beauty.
Bravo
Hauntingly beautiful.
What a beautiful flugel tone Mr Pulcini creates here. For my money, this piece could be slower and without drums. Having said that - this is a lovely, sensitive rendition for me. Thank you and regards from Sydney - Dave
Bravo!
I like the Brassed Off version, but this is good too.
brassed off one was a slightly faster
I think each was unique, but both were absolutely beautiful performances.
Pure magic...
Cool!
Semplicemente meraviglioso
Am anfang bis zur 1. Minute ziemliche Tempo Probleme, Tenor startet zu früh, Solo Trompete mega stark, rettet das Stück! Was macht der Dirigent? Schlafen?
Bellísimo.
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Bravi tutti!
Bravo flicorno soprano
excelente
The most gently touching version I have ever heard.
Muy bueno! Show!!!
grande flicorno soprano un suono bellissimo complimenti
Bellissimo
Its grat performance, barvo. Can I Ask IT possibile get sheets for this?
Best on best
Too slow as a funeral march and the trombone got lost at the begining
Great sound the soloist
Tempo too slow
Too slow!
It's a piece about grieving. The Brassed Off version is slightly faster. You may enjoy that one better. I do too, but I like this one as well. It's very nicely played.
I'd love to hear this without the annoying drums in the background.
Could be better - I have heard better, live ( before I get complaints). There is an obvious sloppiness with no excuse. You yourself will know you can do better. I have heard better in a restaurant, surely you are better than that.
Can you post a video of you playing then i can give you some feedback. This comes from an ex pro.....would love to hear you.
@@dominicturner5057 Not sure what you mean by that? Are you saying no one has the right to comment (on an open forum!) unless they are are better? Or are you suggesting everything should only receive happy, positive comments - irrespective of the standard? You are an ex pro....at what? Writing nonsense comments, guess you have come out of retirement.
@@Theagchm It would help if you can provide constructive feedback. Just saying it's bad doesn't help anyone, particularly the performer. Otherwise you just come off as an attention-seeking troll.
@@EnDianNeo What age are you? Can you read? If you could you should be able to see that I never said it was bad, I stated a fact - I have heard better in a restaurant. I have also heard numerous versions that are way better. As for an attention seeking troll - don't judge other people by your childish standards.
You have heard better, it's your luck. Talents are everywhere, different players can have different control and interpretations. I would just relax and enjoy every one of them. IMHO, I think he played very well!
