Hi, question regarding these footwell lights I know they light up when you turn your headlight switch on or while opening doors but do they light up while you’re driving too/night time?
@Breezyy182 they are on when your original oranges light were on so would indeed be on at night. They change to white momentarily when you open the doors in the footwells. You can change the colour and brightness level through idrive as normal.

If you use chrome internet browser. Hit the 3 little dots on the top right handside of the page. Halfway down, your see translate. Push that and it will auto translate the page into your desired language.

When the sidelights or headlights are on yes. The footwell lights change between the white and purple when doors are opened. I have also coded mine so the brightness is not linked to the instrument panel.
supp man just got mine, but i'm having a problem. I bought the same as you, the purple, but they only go white... when you open a door they get bright white as it is supposed, but when i close them they stay white, just get less brighter. Am I missing something?
Try changing between the two colours on idrive see what happens. I also coded my interior lights to not sync with dash lights. Let me know, and I will have a think.
@@savionjolly4827 it is not a cosimh problem. You need to go on your idrive on settings, go to lights and then you need to put them in classic. In classic it would normally go orange but now it will go to the color that you choose. In sport it stays white
The roof ones I believe are the individual led bulbs that you can not change. The best option is to disable the orange light so that it does not disturt the new colours. But still shines white if needed. If I remember it's the left most cable on the connector.
Sorry for late reply. Orange is a brighter version of the standard colour and the orange 605 is a slightly more red version of the orange. Hope this helps
Yes these new led modules allow you to change the colour from the original orange and white to a different colour and white. In my case its purple. But you can choose either red, blue, purple, brighter oem orange or a golden orange. You can stll select either sport or dynamic through the I drive aswell as brightness levels.
@@Muzwwwywwwywwwywwwy the bulbs are physically changed. Where on the led module it would be orange and white bulbs. The new modules change the orange bulbs to the colour of your choice. So where as on the idrive you would choose white or orange the orange has been replaced on the led driver module.

If you are talking about the plastic light diffuser tube the they are less than £20 from bmw. It just pushs up into a grooved ridge. Very simple to change.

There are a few changing them to white. Means taking the dash apart and soldering new smds. You can also get the new digital dash butcost is high.

Are the footwell lights dimmable on the idrive menu in the same way as the original ones?
Yes they are. I coded mine to be seperate from the dash lights. As you can dim them through the dash light switch also.

You can't code them. But you can just turn side lights on if needed. Mine stay on purple while headlights are on.

How many boards are included in one order? It's confusing because in their website the title says 2x2016 SMD LED module circuit board.
So it's one module per unit. There's 2 2016 size leds on the board.
So you would need to order one of those modules per location. I used 5 of the small ones and 2 of the larger ones for footwells
