The more sanctions imposed on China the more holes appeared on the US's foot. So Huawei just opt for domestic alternatives and at the same more new rival suppliers to the US are born. Likewise, the dropping of US shares prices and profits. Hope US considers further sanctions, so that we, the rest of the world, could have a true alternative systems and devices earlier.

Just to be clear that the claim of that the quality and advancement of China's chips are not as good as of US chips is not true. The exact claim of Raimondo is that at this point China cannot make its advanced chips at scale due to the sanctions thus making them is more costly, not that these are technologically inferior to US chips. If this is true we know with certainty that China will find a way to reduce the cost as it always does with everything it produces. Even ASML decided to sell its lithography machines to China despite of the sanctions, there is no point any more given that China already broke the technological barrier, the question is whether China will want to buy from ASML when is going to start producing its own lithography machines with its own technology.

I have only owned one Huwai. I bought it. Replaced it by a Samsung. After 2 years the software collapsed. Im the mean time i borrowed the Hyundai to a friend. And got it back when my first Samsung broke down Then i used it for a year until i bought Samsung no 2. I had Samsung no 2 in 2 years until the contact broke down. In the mean time i borrowed it to my son. I got it back when my second Samsung brooke down. I used it for a few months until the 3g net was taken down. But it still works after all these years. Unlike my western phones.

It’s so stupid in logic, we don’t make electronics Europe and Mexico even Japan the ps4-5 are made in china as all electronics. China was buying our chip , but that all stop. Apple design the chip but outsourced it to s.Korea . So who going to buy our chips now? And to make 98% pure silicon chine has 6 of the 10 company making it as it make from coal furnaces as it takes two full hr at 2,400 degrees to get the 98% pure silicon that make the pure silicon big ingot that cut to waffle that are the slices chips are whiten on.
We already got a huge surplus of chip and processor, but gaming and computer are dead.
No surprise, and we don’t want more electronics software in cars, if your front glass break not only replace it but need to reprogram it at the dealer. For key replacements only from dealer and 445 buck for a key yet.

Sanctioning = American monopoly. De-risking but not decoupling = USA bans all Chinese brands but Chinese continue to buy American brands.
In short, it’s about American monopoly. Down the drain with their false advertisement and deception of “free trade”.

Sanctions could only work in the short term and only if the products under sanction could not be replace by someone else. Both of those conditions are not applicable in this case so the sanctions are only going to be detrimental to the sanctioner.
It is true that China's progress is going to be detrimental to the US but only because it is going to disrupt their control on the rest of the world. They will not be able to demand a premium ( some would say a bribe ) to do business with them.
