It was like watching a heavyweight Muay Thai champion actually fight a Japanese Schoolgirl.
A R4 Sagat is pretty much an R5 character. Every two/three hit with HP or HK is a Level 1 super.
I was just playing this on my PlayStation 3 (PSN Version) and just going through the game with Sagat. Salute to people keeping this game alive. Silent Scope. Bas. Doctor B. Wong, Etc..... I appreciate so much.
Yikes PSN version.
Definitely grab NullDC BEAR if you have a PC plus it has online play with low delays.
The PSN version runs with 6 to 8 frames of lag because of the PS2 emulator on PS3.
@@silverwah nulldc bear installs a custom vpn client that sometimes interfears with your real connection, having to uninstall it.

My God, that's completely insane. And he could have done even MORE damage if he had more health.
Edit: Upon watching a second time, he could have done *A LOT* more damage if he'd had more health. That combo already had more to give with the first hit of that DP doing far more than enough to kill, and the remaining hits of the DP. But he could have started it with a j.rh for even MORE damage. That's insane!!

Best characters for K Groove is Sagat, Geese, Rugal, Yamazaki, Rolento, Mai, and Evil Ryu in my opinion
Blanka is gross K groove too, adding small jump to his offensive arsenal is very 💪

Did you type this comment from your own PC/laptop? If so you can try downloading fightcade. I don't think the system requirements are that high.

@@Imozart0341I Its just something in the system that made big meaty attacks too good. Sagat aint alone either Blanka Cammy Yamazaki Sakura Hibiki etc all have singular buttons better than some characters whole movelists
I build an arcade and personally gotten 10x better since doing so and decided one of these days I'm Going to Smash You, 1st ima set the bar high and MvC2 and then CvS2 when you realize my greatness we can dance in any fighting game you like from killer instinct to Smash bros

What do the different Grooves mean??
Never got to play this game or much of the Alpha games
Each of the grooves (CAPSNK) has a different meter system and different universal mechanics. Quick summaries:
C = 3 levels of super meter (you can cancel out of level 2 supers with a special or a level 1 super), roll, air block, dash, alpha counter (use a level of meter to cancel block stun into a scripted reversal)
A = custom combos (pretty much makes every normal/special cancellable) or two level 1 supers or one level 3, roll, dash, alpha counter
P = one level 3 super, parry, dash, hop
S = one level 1 super, infinite level 1 supers and autocharging meter at low life (low life + full meter = level 3 super), dodge, run, hop, alpha counter
N = three level 1 supers, can burn a meter stock to get boosted damage and access to level 3 supers, roll, run, hop, roll counter (use a meter stock to cancel block stun into a roll), alpha counter
K = triggers rage mode on full meter, boosted damage while in rage mode, meter drains automatically while in rage mode, can cancel rage mode with a level 3 super, just defend (block at last moment to recover life, gain meter, and reduce block stun), run, hop
Dodge is fully invincible (except to throws) but stationary. Roll is invincible (except to throws) except for a brief period near the end. There's also a bug (roll cancel) that lets you kara cancel a roll into a special to get invincibility. Dashing moves quickly but has a fixed length/time. Running moves slightly slower than dashing but can be continued/stopped as you want.
On top of the grooves, there's also the ratio system, where you can divide 4 ratio "points" across 1-3 characters. Higher ratio gives more life and damage.

CAP and SNK are the different ways your super meter builds as well as other things. C is like most basic with roll and 3 levels of super meter. It's the only groove that can allow you to use level 2 supers. A is custom combos and 2 level 1 supers with a roll. P is a slight variation on the 1 level 3 from SF 3rd strike but add in parry. The SNK grooves are a little more wild they mostly revolve around taking damage to do the level 3 supers. You also get a dodge instead of a roll. S you can charge up your super for level 1but you can get hit but when you're low health you get infinite level 1 supers, mix both of them together to get a level 3. N is a bit weird to use, but you can save up "stocks" of level 1 supers and activate them and you'll have a short amount of time to use the level 3 version. K is a bit nutty...you take damage to build your meter. When your meter is filled you have about 10 seconds to use your level 3 only super and also get 35% offensive bonus and 12.5% defensive bonus. You can also build meter and a tiny bit of health by "just defend", you press back like you're gonna block but like 0.5 seconds late.

Zangief is the most broken in this game when you do a Dodge roll it puts you on a different plane so people can't hit you except zangief can stand up in the middle of the roll and go into an instant grab.
