Some people just cant grasp the concept of entertainment via the Tube videos or the process of running a business while trying to provide such entertainment/instructional vids for their viewing pleasure. Hell, I run an old South Georgia manual machine shop/welding & Fabrication business, and you seem like the kind of guy I could call up and bend your ear for a couple hours with. But I know I dont have the time for it during the day and the thought of interrupting your day to yak never crossed my mind. And I would never attempt to video what I do on a daily basis for youtube so Thank You for taking the time you do.
People today are very uncivilized. There was a time when mom and dad taught their children something called manners. Included in that was the concept of thoughtfulness. Those days are gone. Today it's me me me with no thought for how ones actions are impacting someone.

I really hate to see this video, the first time i saw that you had your phone number in videos, I was surprised that you would just leave it right there in plain view but i figured if you weren't hiding it that must mean people were being responsible and blowing up your phone for random BS. Yet another sad sign that common decency is getting harder to find. But good on you for putting your foot down and calling it out for what it is. I really appreciate not just all the welding stuff but also the life lessons you work into things, even this video for example, anyone could make 30 second video telling people "Hey all yall morons calling, and texting, and facebook messengering my phone for non-business reasons knock it off or we're gonna have problems and i'm gonna start blocking people" but you took the time to really explain it to us and also give ppl who may have similar problems the push that they needed to do what you did and start telling ppl the business number is for business. Keep being Awesome. I've also been wondering for a little while now; Have you ever considered taking on an apprentice? You have tons of knowledge and at least in the YT videos seem to be a really good teacher.
I actually started sharing on RUclips BECAUSE I don't want an apprentice and at least RUclips allows me to share what I'm doing without having someone in my way. I've just worked by myself for so long that I really don't even know how to work with someone else and I really don't want anybody around when I'm working. I know how to figure out ways of doing stuff on my own and I don't even want help. Even with jobs that involve quite a bit of physical labor I'd still rather just do it myself and I feel like I get it done just fine and very efficiently. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍

Need to have your calls answered by an answering service to screen everybody! I rarely text message, do not like to even talk on the phone, lets meet up face to face, man to man. You do not have to apologize to anyone, not in this Post Covid lifetime! Do whats right for you!

I changed my You Tube handle recently but I’m the guy near Charlottesville that recently saw your truck on the 250 by-pass and sent you a comment on your most recent video, at the time. You replied back almost immediately and I couldn’t believe that you actually took the time to do so. What you’re dealing with is exactly why I tell the young man that helps me sometimes, whenever he says that I should start a You Tube channel, that he’s crazy and I want no parts of it.
Back when I wanted to have a sign made for my business, I went to an actual sign guy. I had a couple ideas and one of them was. I wanted to put my phone number on my sign and he said absolutely do not put your phone number on your sign! I said why not? He said you don’t see Walmart with a phone number on their sign. You don’t see McDonald’s with a phone number on their sign, He said you don’t see the caterpillar dealer with a phone number on their sign , I had to agree with him. He said that’s what phonebooks are for . At this moment, I can’t remember if my phone number is on my service truck and it’s too far away to go look. I’m one of these guys that sometimes just turns my phone off ,because my phone has suffered my temper before.
Agreed. Word of mouth references are all I want. Phone calls from somebody off the street were almost always dead leads that wasted my time. Ditched my sign a long time ago. If they're a good customer, they'll do the leg work to find me.

I don’t have a RUclips channel but own a truck repair business. I get so many phone calls from people wanting free advise or just to bullshit I got to the point I couldn’t get anything done. I got a second phone only my family has the number to that I always answer. Leave my other phone in the truck and check it about once every 30 minutes. My voice mail says if you are broke down and need immediate assistance send a text message or leave a voicemail. Usually call people back while eating lunch or on my way home. I’ve informed all customers how I handle phone calls and they understand and know I’ll call them back with in 30minutes if I see a voice mail or text from them. Has been working well for me.

I know you start your day early and have long days. Time is money I get it. Specially when you’re on the customers dime. This is why I stopped doing things on RUclips it's fun to post things you know someone else might get an idea what direction to look in I've experienced this frustration before on my old RUclips channel before Google bought RUclips some people lack the social mathematics that this isn't just a place that you share cool videos it's also an advertisement for prospective customers and while there are fans some of them do not know how to connect the dots that you are busy and that time is money and that anytime that you have to stop is lost time I totally get it could I have one of those fancy pickup trucks too and if we're not rolling it down the road and stopping it and spinning up that generator we ain't making any bread and butter happen I completely understand where you're coming from
I have 10 videos I did for weld com over a year and a half ago ......I still look at comments and try and answer, but I get no money for it and have not been involved with them since December 2022...... there are buffoons out there trying to bash me and what I presented....... keep doing the awesome job you are doing, maybe answer simple questions in future videos, your fans will see, and maybe even get questions answered they have not thought of...... Very few of people watching any RUclips channel has any experience with operating a business or any size. I grew up with a father running a construction business, and I ran a small machine shop on “spare time”, after work. I read a poster on a street that stated; “Stupid is forever, ignorance can be fixed.” Most people can be fixed. The question that they need to ask themselves is if they had a plumber at their home on Saturday overtime rate, and the plumber was called three times during a hour and a half call from his kids about going to play with the neighbor, and then billed the customer for the whole time at the house. You question the bill and the phone time, and he says it is what it is. Many of your viewers are confusing real work, with reality tv. I do enjoy your videos when I catch them, but would never consider myself as one of your customers.
I love your content, don’t take this the wrong way but your too old school when it comes to trying to do the right thing…the people who are calling texting and messaging you have just enough brain cells to exist every day, and that’s about it. The world you grew up in, and the people that you trying to interact with, may as well be from another planet… I hope they don’t destroy this channel , lots of good content
I’m from that world as well, I’m 51 years old, and I miss the days of consideration, I miss the days of common sense. Most of all like C B says, learn to work with what you got, and you will always have what you need. That’s how l/we grew up. If you didn’t have something, you found a way to make it, or fix it. Those days are gone, and yes I realize that technology is allowing me to make this comment, but it was better times.
Also , you can silence facebook messenger on you phone , and although not good for business, you can also silence unknown callers , they will just go to your voicemail. I wish I can tell you that it will get better, but as your popularity grows, it likely will not, please don’t let these ass clowns get to you

I don’t have a RUclips channel but own a truck repair business. I get so many phone calls from people wanting free advise or just to bullshit I got to the point I couldn’t get anything done. I got a second phone only my family has the number to that I always answer. Leave my other phone in the truck and check it about once every 30 minutes. My voice mail says if you are broke down and need immediate assistance send a text message or leave a voicemail. Usually call people back while eating lunch or on my way home. I’ve informed all customers how I handle phone calls and they understand and know I’ll call them back with in 30minutes if I see a voice mail or text from them. Has been working well for me.

Good grief! I promise I’ll never do that. Why would anyone think that way. Don’t get me wrong….I’d like to have my own personal “ youtube emotional support welder” to chat with as much as anyone but it doesn’t work that way and it’s not supposed to. I watch and thoroughly enjoy you videos. I comment and express my appreciation with a little humor sometimes. (You seem to need a good laugh sometimes). Full stop. Your going to deal with a lot of people that just don't know what it takes to own and run a welding business, me on the other hand get a lot of time wasters in my welding business. Then there are people just think you can run out to look at something for free. Or go over a bunch of jobs over and over again and get nothing started. Hang in there bud. This is a very good video. I know you start your day early and have long days. Time is money I get it. Specially when you’re on the customers dime. This is why I stopped doing things on RUclips it's fun to post things you know someone else might get an idea what direction to look in I've experienced this frustration before on my old RUclips channel before Google bought RUclips some people lack the social mathematics that this isn't just a place that you share cool videos it's also an advertisement for prospective customers and while there are fans some of them do not know how to connect the dots that you are busy and that time is money and that anytime that you have to stop is lost time I totally get it could I have one of those fancy pickup trucks too and if we're not rolling it down the road and stopping it and spinning up that generator we ain't making any bread and butter happen I completely understand where you're coming from

I have 10 videos I did for weld com over a year and a half ago ......I still look at comments and try and answer,
but I get no money for it and have not been involved with them since December 2022......
there are buffoons out there trying to bash me and what I presented.......
keep doing the awesome job you are doing, maybe answer simple questions in future videos,
your fans will see, and maybe even get questions answered they have not thought of......

Very few of people watching any RUclips channel has any experience with operating a business or any size. I grew up with a father running a construction business, and I ran a small machine shop on “spare time”, after work.
I read a poster on a street that stated; “Stupid is forever, ignorance can be fixed.” Most people can be fixed. The question that they need to ask themselves is if they had a plumber at their home on Saturday overtime rate, and the plumber was called three times during a hour and a half call from his kids about going to play with the neighbor, and then billed the customer for the whole time at the house. You question the bill and the phone time, and he says it is what it is.
Many of your viewers are confusing real work, with reality tv. I do enjoy your videos when I catch them, but would never consider myself as one of your customers.

I’m from that world as well, I’m 51 years old, and I miss the days of consideration, I miss the days of common sense. Most of all like C B says, learn to work with what you got, and you will always have what you need. That’s how l/we grew up. If you didn’t have something, you found a way to make it, or fix it.
