pro tip. make coffee ice cubes. that way when the ice melts it doesn't water down your coffee, it coffee's it back up

I was thinking about that when I saw the ice cubes! I always make coffee cubes for my iced coffee... or chocolate cubes for my iced mocha!
I did that once with my cafe bustelo and was wired all day on it! Lmao so now I freeze my almond milk into ice cubes :) next time I am going to make ice cubes with decaf coffee so that I don't get that super wired effect again. Lol

Hi Sara, since you're a self proclaimed mason jar queen, I was wondering which size I should buy to start me up for most versatility? I am a student and don't want to buy a dozen each of all sizes (even though I'd love that). I see that the iced coffees look even cuter in those mason jars (I am assuming those are quart sized)

I make Vanilla Sugar to sweeten coffee drinks and add vanilla flavoring at the same time. Just take a big canister of sugar and split 3 vanilla beans and scrape the goodness out of them and mix it with the sugar. Throw the vanilla "pods" in there too. Shake the canister whenever you think of it. If you wait a couple of weeks, the sugar will be awesomely infused with vanilla flavor - wait longer and it's even better! I put the sugar through a fine strainer to get out the chunks of vanilla bean pod. These make great gifts and it's yummy for making hot cocoa too! :-)

I got tired of making simple syrup so now I make a cream for my iced coffee that will also sweet and it lightly. I used 12 ounces of half-and-half or milk, a small splash of vanilla I don't use too much because I don't want vanilla coffee but it does take a little bit of The Edge from the half and half and the taste of sweetened condensed milk which I do not care for and 12 ounces of sweetened condensed milk. I put them in the jar and shake until they are will mixed and it lasts for weeks in the refrigerator. it is just the right amount of sweetness it's not overbearing and it's not under sweet. it's very nice and it's all in one.

I have been making my coffee and then turning off my pot so it will cool a bit so it won't melt my plastic to go bottle, for my iced coffee. I need to get a glass jar like you have so I can just use more ice and get about a half hour more sleep. Thanks for the video cause I can always put it in my to go bottle, after it's cooled down and shacked. I can probably just make a full pot of coffee and drink a cup before I leave, in the glass jar. I am excited to give this a try. I hate mornings.

for your coffee you can use evaporated milk!! I use carnation and it's so delicious!!
You come up with the best recipes. I like coffee but I can only drink it every once in a while. Could you do some chai tea recipes? I would like to do something different with my regular iced vanilla chai. I would imagine most of these would work too but I just wanted to see if you had anything specific

My go-to refreshing iced coffee mix:
I make a "simple syrup" boiled down with fresh picked sprigs of ROSEMARY!
I then add a bit of home-made vanilla extract to enhance.
I then mix the rosemary extract (sprigs removed!) and coffee concentrate with fresh farm cream & milk.
Sooo refreshing!!
Tip: Brewing a coffee concentrate directly over ice will stop the oxidation and make the iced coffee even better.
I make my iced coffee using an Aeropress so I can brew it anywhere.

pro tip, if you don't wanna use vanilla extract and you don't wanna pay $12 for a single pod, you can use a vanilla bean paste. I pay $7 for it at Walmart in the Wilton isle. BUT if you live in a small town, it would probably be with the spices. If it's not there, check the isle with the cake mixes and cupcake liners.

Try freezing coffee and thaw. Its like a slushy. Or coffee sickle or coffee ice cream.
You could use maple syrup its really good in iced coffee (l am Canadian if you didn’t already realize)

a good coffee hack for coffee lovers out there *including me!* is to get an ice cube tray and instead of filling it up with water fill it up with coffee so it won't water down your coffee while drinking it!

Delicious tip: for the vanilla bean one, simply add a splash of cinnamon into your simple syrup and sprinkle the top with cinnamon and nutmeg.
