I think it’s the costs and red tape to be honest. But the harbour thing might work. If I put some in a bottle and send it over, you might get it in a few hundreds years.

Congrats ! I've been waiting for my garage to get a bit more organized before I start cutting, but this is great for folks who don't want to get into the laser hobby.
Yeah, 3D printing and laser cutting are almost hobbies in themselves. Some of us do it, many don’t want the hassle. I guess I’m attempting to cater for both.

I did have a look but the problem then becomes me paying US taxes and such. And man, the U.K. system is bad enough without having to sort through another one. 🤣

Logistics is the reason for import/export nightmares across the Atlantic (and the Pacific). The nightmare that happened in the Pandemic and then accelerated in post pandemic is still very much in play.
No one really talks about it, but there is still a logistics (transportation) issues ongoing that will last until at least Q4 of 2024 and possibly into Q2 of 2025 before things start to stabilize and normalize.
As to MDF in North America.
Look at Mexico or Canada as possible suppliers.
Due to USMCA (formerly NAFTA)it allows trade between Canada, Mexico and the United States.
Tax laws might be better/easier in Mexico or Canada vs the complicated mess that is the United States tax codes.

These look really good, but seem a little on the pricey side. Considering you're going to need at least 3-4 to make something that would cover a 2'x2' corner of a board, at >£100 for just a small part of a 4'x4' Infinity table they're a little hard to justify 😢 Looking forward to seeing what else comes out in the future.

Have you considered partnering with a laser cutter in other countries, such as Death Ray Designs in the US, or Scorched Earth Design in Australia?
I don’t think they do it.
@@thestateofplay2023 scorched earth design definitely does, the majority of what they offer is from designers outside of Australia, and it's a great way for us to avoid crazy shipping.
Now hear me out... in the event one were to be traveling to London in late February, would one hypothetically be able to acquire said kit in a hobby shop? Or...?
Hmm, good question. Likely not but you could potentially order and deliver to a hotel. Or email Mosfire and see where they could potentially keep one for you.

I might be wrong but EU allows purchases up to €150 without duties. And VAT would be paid on the item in the U.K. anyway so there’s be no extra tax.
I buy from the EU all the time and don’t pay any extra provided the cost is less that £135 (€150).
@@thestateofplay2023 it’s because UK allowing you to do that, maybe it’s per country, but at least for NL it’s:
“From 1 January 2021 onwards, there will no longer be free movement of goods between the UK and the Netherlands. From now on, you will always need to file a customs declaration and your shipment may take at least one day longer as a result.”
Yes that’s correct. Same in the U.K. But all that means is the company you buy from must fill in a form. As long as they declare the price, and it’s under €150, you don’t pay anything.
You should make something a little less pristine for Necromunda.
They’re left cleaner to allow for customising and a dirty paint job. If I made them grungy it would cater to only one game, sadly. Right now you can paint them clean for, say Infinity or rust them up and add pipes and cables for Necrimunda.

Thank you for the interest, Will did a fab job on these, we want to give everyone the opportunity to get ahold of these kits, so don’t fear we are looking at opening up orders to outside the UK in the near future, we are a small company and MDF gets Heavy real quick so we are looking for the best way to keep shipping costs down for people.
