@@brettclurdrums Unfortunately, , I´ve never seen Chris live, but I have watched tons of his videos with various players. I was just watching him last week with Pino Palladino, and Isiah Starkey. That´s a very interesting group, because they are all very original and unique players. I tend to watch a LOT of drummers on RUclips. All different styles. Famous, and not so famous. I have the chops to play just about anything, but I love it when I´m challenged- Usually, it only takes me 20 minutesto figure out, any lick or fill. But, if I like it enough to learn it, it becomes apart of my playing. Chris Dave is a very unique and original player, and probably the closest thing to a live drum machine. He duplicates sample sounds with similar sounding drums, cymbals, and EFX. i love his playing. I told a club owner friend that´s also a drummer, and has had Billy Cobham, Dennis Chambers, Keith Carlock, Eric Harland, (and many others) that he should book Chris Dave. Hpefully that will happen. He has a great club, and it´s 5 minutes away from where I live. :)
@@brettclurdrumsBy the way, thanks for making the video!!! :) You did a nice job. Obviously RUclips saw my interest in Chris Dave from my watching several videos last week, and highlighted your video in my stream. :)
This lesson went straight to the ❤ thank you so much!
Thanks for watching! I'm assuming you're a Chris Dave fan haha?
@@brettclurdrums 💯 % Maybe one day you could take a look at Sput Searight's "Bent Nails " groove. Cheers!!
