How do we know that no one talked to him? He was about to go to rehab... people were talking to him, trust me. But at the end of the day, people get better when THEY want to, not when people tell them to. If you're getting better for anyone besides yourself, you won't succeed. Only when you truly decide to get help for yourself, will you break free. I know from experience. Feb 5th was my 6th year being clean and sober, and it took a lot more than 6 years of failing to get there. Once I realized that I was worth saving and deserved a better life, nothing could stop me.

A few weeks ago I did an event with a volunteer group about mental well-being. One of the events we did was “crossing the line” and you crossed the line if you had done the sentence. The statement was “cross the line if you’ve ever committed an act of self harm” and seeing the amount of people and the individual people I knew step forward made me break down. This song makes me think of that. You always know these huge issues are out there. Odds are you probably know someone going through it. I will always listen to his music, because before I started going to church, his music was the only thing that kept me going and to push forward in life. How do we know that no one talked to him? He was about to go to rehab... people were talking to him, trust me. But at the end of the day, people get better when THEY want to, not when people tell them to. If you're getting better for anyone besides yourself, you won't succeed. Only when you truly decide to get help for yourself, will you break free. I know from experience. Feb 5th was my 6th year being clean and sober, and it took a lot more than 6 years of failing to get there. Once I realized that I was worth saving and deserved a better life, nothing could stop me.
