      @@0729terrell since people would rather make fun of you rather than actually explaining. It’s tool assisted speed run (or super play) and basically what happens is the creator slows the game down a pause and plays frame by frame. Allowing them to put inputs in with perfect timing. So it would be like if you could pause a game and have it run frame by frame so you know exactly what’s going to happen and how to counter it. Then there’s things like macro’s etc, for instance the enemy jumps so he puts the macro in for Sektors rocket, then teleport etc. so it’s gameplay no human could ever actually do. Still super entertaining to watch though

    • @CinderGamingChannel
      @CinderGamingChannel  5 месяцев назад +2

      Don’t mind at all!
      TAS stands for Tool-Assisted Speedrun.
      It is another category of Speedrunning.
      The tool allows for the user to find the most perfected way to maximize their run.
      Not to mention, it has also been used by the community to find possible time boost/skips/glitches/etc to be used in a normal Speedrun.
      I’ll leave this here if you want to dive deeper! 👍

    What means TAS?

  • @shirakani
    @shirakani 5 месяцев назад

    TAS literally is the only way to beat MK arcade games w/o cheesing AI holes... coz the AI literally cheats and button reads and has perfect counter reflexes no human can hope to match. Only a machine can out cheat it.

    • @CinderGamingChannel
      @CinderGamingChannel  5 месяцев назад

      How right you are!
      Before the matches/rounds began, I tested multiple direction inputs.
      The opponent always reacted to it! I also tested it on the various versions of MK2 as well.
      I've been meaning to test it on MK, but I'm assuming the result will be about the same.

    • @shirakani
      @shirakani 5 месяцев назад

      @@CinderGamingChannel It is. The source code for MK2 (I think it was 2) was completely leaked and if you look at it, you can see comments for the AI code that literally says 'if player does X, do Y' and it was set to literally be unwinnable as the AI always had priority over human input.
      All AI's cheated back in the day... SF2's cheating AI was legendary in how it literally bypassed charge reqs and input reqs outright, but at least it didn't literally hard nope every single thing you pressed.

    • @CinderGamingChannel

      Street Fighter 2!
      You knew that crap was shady!
      It only took a few minutes to start noticing! Zangief had crazy frames on that Spinning Pile Driver! Made my gears grind like crazy!!!!!

    • @shirakani
      @shirakani 5 месяцев назад

      @@CinderGamingChannel But, at least SF2 arcade was beatable. For all the AI cheating, you could still win. MK2-3-UMK3 AI? After the first character, you stood 0 chance. Exactly 0.00%, unless you knew somehow where the AI exploit was.
      You walk forward, they walk back until you get close enough and then beat you out on anything you do with a full kombo or throw.
      You walk back? They walk you down and beat you out on anything you do as well. You jump? They jump attack and beat you out perfectly, every time, EVERY time.
      SF2 cheated with inputs, but you could at least preempt parts of the AI and devise a counter to win and it actually felt good when you did win, like certain things say Honda's headbutt or Blanka's ball... at low life they crouch away from you full screen and you KNOW what they'll do, over and over... you just had to git gud with your DP move to beat it... it at least trained you to git gud.
      MK AI? All it did was drive people away from the machine... there's a reason MK got abandoned in arcades back then if there was no other human to play against. Absolutely nobody wanted to bother with the AI that was literally unbeatable.
      Its truly sad that we had to wait until MUGEN fan projects like MK2 Remix or MK Komplete Plus to actually have a relaxed and fun experience vs the CPU.
