+Travelling K Yeah it can be pretty concerning at times but there's always a way out :D. We are fortunate that the Navara has a lot of clearance at the rear so we can pretty much 90° turn without any dramas which helps heaps!
By far, my favorite part of this video is the dude dancing at the end! My man busts out with the fancy foot work dance move, followed by a Mike Tyson's Punch Out 1-2 combo🥊. Then he gives us a halfway "Raise the Roof" and finishes with a Tai-Chi offering to the gods ⛩️ Brilliant! Someone get that guy another mid- strength beer🍺
Have camped at archers since the 70s........cant camp there atm because allowing it to be re generated.....too many people leaving rubbish, lighting fires at base of oak trees that used to line the beaches killed them all off.........actually can camp in one spot 100 m off the beach.......was unspoilt for years till too many wankers found it
G'day, I would not recommend Bloomfield as it can easy turn in to a very dangerous situation. A lot of people with big caravans do it with no dramas, if you do decide to do it get up the first hill then you should be fine with the rest. We did it in 4wd low range as we had a lot of weight on board, we ended up emptying our water midway.
@@mickmay6569 we came down from cooktown thru the track to Daintree. Bt50 + 3460kg van.oct 2019 the track was dry. No problems except speeding idiots going north.
I have no idea if that's bloody crazy good, or bad in AU, but here in Sweden we pay roughly 2.50 AUD for 1 litre of Diesel. We're not too happy about that over here. Petrol just as expensive.
I have been a follower of you guys. I am always excited when you post a new video. I have never been to Australia but you are on my radar. It's always been my dream to visit Australia and maybe will run into you guys. Great job
Awesome series, I'm off on compo and I've watched almost all your videos. Where do you get your campsite locations from. What video editing software do you use. Ken
Thanks Ken!! That's a lot of hours of content we're glad your enjoying it. We use Wikicamps always to find spots and some times just travel unknown roads. We use Adobe premiere Pro.
Hi guys, thanks for the video (series) and info - very, very good! We are planning to do it much the same as you - camper in tow. What time of the year did you head up? - Ahh, got the answer from your website - (May/June) wow you have put in a lot of effort!! Great website, also very useful.
Your poor dusty (and red) bikes. This is something that hasn't occurred to me yet but just realized, my bike will be on the back of my camper too and will get just as dusty as yours.
@@Sparkysontheloose I recently did a 5.5 week trip. Unfortunately my bike couldn't make it this time and I really missed it. Especially when I wanted to exercise my dog or if the shower/toilet block was just a bit far. I thoroughly enjoy riding and Sammy loves following me while riding. It is a must for me next time. Cheers
I was in Weipa in 2004 just 4 a one week fishing trip. We started in Burnett Heads/Bundaberg.Thx to the weather it took us only 3 days with an old Land Rover and a boat trailer to reach Weipa. We slept in a tent no a/c, no electricity.Fishing among crocs and nasty sand flies was the biggest adventure of my life. Now it seems to be a kiddie tourist tour heading north of Cairns. With high tech equipment it is not the same anymore.Sry guys, but U look like average Fraser Island 4wd tourists.Nice tour anyway ^^
Bugger only a week, we spent 30 days up there so we're deffiently glad we took the van. Kurt: Ive done Cape York in a swag 5 years ago and it didn't really feel too different. We're about to hit Kakadu and the Gibb, pretty keen as I've heard it's just as good if not better then the Cape.
What an epic trip! Like that you went for the uncertain road with the hills and river crossing. You've had some amazing camp spots!
+Travelling K Yeah it can be pretty concerning at times but there's always a way out :D. We are fortunate that the Navara has a lot of clearance at the rear so we can pretty much 90° turn without any dramas which helps heaps!
Hi thanks for your reply and will take it on board. Keep up your good work and stay free
thank you show beauty travel in Australia
hi love your show did you see any motor homes doing the GIBB RIVER ROAD...?
Hello, thanks. No we didn't and highly recommend not. Motorhomes aren't generally built to handle those bad roads
Would you recommend the Bloomfield track with a camp trailer after towing the van on it?
I wouldn't recommend caravans but a camper may be ok, it depends on the driver.
Its actually a road

What a legend!
Love it!
ok where’s the secret camp spot ??
Wouldn't be a secret if we told everyone lol
We did the cape York 2 years ago and we were rushed and missed lots of the waterfalls, can’t wait to do it again. We did love Parenchella
Paranella

Hey guys, just planning our Cape trip. Would you recommend the Bloomfield with a caravan again? Looked a bit sketchy in a few areas. Cheers.

@@Sparkysontheloose cheers mate. Think we will take the chicken track the long way. Enjoy your videos - keep up the good work!
Not in a navara...people doing it are using v8 l Landcruisers...you c as n hear them flogging it in 1st gear high range till it overheated..

Could I ask the secret spot I've looked for ages but can't find it. Thanks in advance
No sorry, have to ask the locals.
@@Sparkysontheloose no worries. Thanks for the reply.
I’m about to attempt the Bloomfield track with my camper trailer. Was concerned about the grades. Can’t believe you got your van through 😅
Haha you got nothing to worry about
Cool video. I wonder what the price of Diesel would be up there now
Thanks Sally. Over here in WA it's around $1.70 which is crazy.

How do u guys find those drink holders on the air vents and they still going ???
They are good, we lost one as the clips holding the cans in broke.
What time of the year did you guys go?
June. It's the best time in our opinion

where is the secret spot? we are doing this trip in a week, so excited, love to stay where you did! beautiful!
you drive such a little distance each day
Very true. I think our shortest is like 10kms. There's just so much to see.
i know right

We should've put bags over them but to be honest we should've just left them behind. Electronic scooters/skateboards have come a long way
