RE: Worldbuilding through Performance Panel Discussion

Beyond the limits of language is the possibility for performance to express and create identity. Join a conversation with Professor Marlon M. Bailey, Maxi Glamour, and Julian Kevon Glover, PhD about the complexities of gender and sexuality that emerge within African diasporic cultural formations and the power of performance to transcend limitations and build community. Following the conversation, a light dinner will be provided, as well as a guided tour of the exhibition that inspired the program, Jacolby Satterwhite: Spirits Roaming on the Earth.
This event will include ASL interpretation provided by student interpreters from St. Louis Community College.
