Dude, you're doing napkin math in your head unnecessarily from the equipment menu. While in the equipment menu, you can press Triangle (or Y on xbox) to switch the character status on the right side to show your weapon damage and damage resistances without having to open up the status menu. If you knew this, and still elected not to use it, then that's based laziness that I can get behind.

YO WAIT, it’s Blue Flame from Dark Souls 2! Let’s freaking go! I loved using Blue Flame with my warrior mage build (it was more like the mage which can fight back in melee combat effectively, but whatever.) Magic infused Blue Flame could still be affected by the crystal weapon spell, which was a fun combo to use. Combine that with the DLC spells, fume knights armour (took me three tries to beat him lmao), the iron kings crown, and obviously crystal soul spear (damage too good to not use) and I had a ton of fun playing. Matches the fun level of my all in one spellcaster in dark souls 3, but I’ve ranted long enough.
I remember buffing two blueflames in eacht hand with crystal weapon, powerstancing them and being badass asf with my dripped out fashion souls character. I shredded bosses with this. Another extremely fun build is artorias sword amd the bone fist for maximum acrobatics. DS2 had so many great ideas that sadly never got reused. In no other game you could get infinite crystal soul spears because you could just revive the boss.

This build actually seems like a great spellsword build. Your health and stamina weren't somewhat gimped, so your survivability was still good compared to builds I saw from others.
i knew this sword would be kinda *insane* even if it was bad at first, just because it has a wild amount of unpredictability. Any attack could go into a rollcatch or an explosion, or a hyper armor attack. it's scary. i love it.

Yeahhhh, when playing my Dex mage through the DLC I was playing with a bunch of different setups for that weapon. The Carian thrusting shield in the offhand is one of my favorites. I also really like Halberd (especially a cold infused Guardian's Swordspear with Loretta's Slash) or Royal Greatsword in the mainhand with this in the offhand. Just a really fun weapon that opens up a lot of different setups.
15:30 that's spell has a couple bursts before the initial explosion, which pulls enemies into it. And you ended up timing that PERFECTLY for when he jumped pulled him as much as possible lmao 😂
The carian sorcery sword is literally just the red mage weapon from ffxiv. Red mages use rapiers which serve as staves for casting and they even hold them the same way when casting things like collapsing stars. You cannot convince me that whoever had the idea at fromsoft wasn’t at least inspired by red mages
15:34 the way the blast away stuff tends to work is that it blows them away towards the direction you were looking. Even during the opening clip noone flew away from the waterfall, rather in the direction you were looking which was almost parallel with the waterfall.
Watching you and Oroboro made me want to play this game. I love the way they do PVP in these games. But I've never played any souls games. So I've got myself Demon Souls, Bloodbourne, and Sekiro. I'm going to push through these games before going into Elden Ring. I will be a Souls player not just someone catching a wave. Demon Souls is fun, my magical samurai build is finally coming together and my confidence is growing. I'm becoming a Demon slayer and the power is addicting 😅

I made a build almost exactly like this (down to the spells too lol) a couple days ago and it was so fun. I've always wanted to dabble in sorceries but strength faith is always around the corner calling to me. But I ended up actually really enjoying this build once I got out of the growing pains of learning it. Getting use to the lack of a heavy attack takes time but I got use to it decently fast.

When I saw that you had giants hunt on the shield and it still defaulted to impaling thrust when you have your sword out "my mind is on fire!" with ideas! Thank you for exposing me to this awesome and fun looking build!
That sword needs more buffs. Its currently bugged too. If you use it to cast physical damaging spells like Rock Sling, the spell scaling doesn't apply to the spell. You should've just used the carian thrusting shield to impale them.
I honestly like using the dryleaf arts on any of my builds because it's like my character gets so annoyed by his opponent that they just start throwing hands.
hey lost, saw you using the radagon icon but did you know there an upgraded version that makes spell casting even faster ? It's the belloved stardust from the ymir quest !
It's pointless as 70 Dex is the cap for casting speed regardless. So if Lost has 40 dex plus Radagon's Icon, the other one won't make a difference except make him die faster
I really like melee but I've been wanting a spellblade build for so long since I don't really like pure caster and weapon switching. You could offhand staffs and seals it's not the same as casting with your melee weapon. Kinda wish there was one for incantation too though.
If the raiper can cast from the off-hand position, you'd then be able to main hand the dueling shield to trade into groups with minimum risk....all on paper, i suppose.
It pulls everything inwards 3 times before it explodes. It pulled him down the elevator. Shooting it directly into the ground makes it blow up immediately, which is probably a bug. Lost fired it into the hole so it worked the way it's supposed it.

Carian Slicer would be a great addition to this build given your main attack is a thrust, that thing does insane damage.
