Sometimes when you come across a masterpiece, you have so much of what you want to say, but sometimes when done right with true passion (which naturally pours and oozes out of you), the viewer, is left speechless - Accompanied with CHILLS . This whole video, series shows TRUE raw artistry, on all levels, dedication, skill, storytelling with proper pacing, balance, symbolism and most importantly growth. To me, this is a version of the uniquely exquisite journey each of us walk. Both polarities brought to life, with impact. Until you take on a project like this, you don't know how much work actually goes into it. And its all effortlessly alive here. Magicians make things look easy. & As a great man once said "You are rewarded in public for what you have INTENSELY practiced & refined in private." Creating the painting, filming, editing the film, bringing the vision to life, photographing for prints, writing, voicing, learning lighting, editing programs, mixing each cup of paint and matching colors, sketching, thinking, getting whats in your head and heart in a confined work of art... OK, so here's some reflection (after all, you kinda asked for it). First of all, I LOVED it. But it got me thinking about the story of the animal inside of us and all the myths about how we need to keep it in check and not to let it run free. Maybe we also need to see the story from another angle: maybe we overdid it. The fragility of the cowboy's mind seems to me to stem from the fact that he wasn't able to see the wolf inside of himself. And that he was completely unaware that the beast has already come out once. I know you were heading to the glorious I-fought-my-darkest-shadow-and-won ending (and man, you nailed it), but I also loved the moment in which the cowboy wakes up from his blood moon with a mind that's finally clear. What if our sanity has a double edge: what if alongside the need to dominate our inner wolf (as the cowboy did) we also need to let the animal run free from time to time. Maybe there is something in our culture that hates the animal, likes to pretend it's not even there, struggles to keep it in cage all the time and at all costs. Maybe our sanity is being progressively obscured by the power of its rage and howls we try so hard not to hear. So maybe the cowboy could learn to let the beast out consciously and willingly, not just to be passively forced to do it. Let it run once in a while, somewhere in a vast open space where it can't hurt anybody. All the time with the conscious presence of the cowboy somewhere deep inside of its mind, ready to pull the stop to it if the wolf oversteps the boundaries. That of course is the metaphor of the Sun Goddess in your painting: the dawn of reason equipped with chains to control the beast (yes, I know you did that one consciously). However, that being said, she apparently knows when she shouldn't: too much repression of the darkness leads to an uncontrollable eruption nobody can put a stop to.
This is by far the longest comment I have ever written on RUclips (which also means nobody's going to read it).😁 I guess you can tell this is very personal to me - I have an inner wolf too, a wolf that spent way too much time raging in her cage. No wonder this powerful piece of art-story-movie-reality show touched me so much. I love your stuff and I've been a faithful fan for the past few years, but after THIS, you became the absolutely best art RUclipsr there is (at least for me). Keep it up, man. And thanks fo the experience.

It seems to me that the cowboy also shares the creative mind and spirit of an artist: cycles of fighting the inner demons of depression, restless spirit, self-doubt and doubt of self-worth. OUTSTANDING Story and art.. I am asking my family to grab me the bundle for my 53rd Birthday on Nov 3rd. I am hopeful I will be able to grace my wall and my body in your epic art and story.
I am a US Army Vet and former police officer, and this story or depiction of a troubled journey reminds me of mine. I came close to taking the cowards way out, so many demons, so many horror stories trapped inside. Too often Veterans lose that battle, and in your story I see a redemption arch, when the tormented soul, takes control and decides to carry on and control the inner demons that haunt them. For me waking up and seeing that Print on my bedroom wall will remind me to continue that fight and continue the journey because nothing is chaining me down from living a full and happier life. Thanks Kiptoe, I have been a long time fan of your work, you have a colorful and vibrant soul, that bleeds forth inspiration to the masses. This video came along at the perfect time for me to get some incredible inspiration and emotional clarity. I've been struggling with crippling self-deprecation, depression, and anxiety after being our of work for the last year. I have zero leads at making that any better, and running low on ADHD meds isn't helping. The storytelling, beautiful use of the color pallet, and watching your dedication to making something so beautiful has really helped in ways I don't know if I realize. Coincidentally, after watching the video, I had to go to the bank today, the teller saw the stickers I had on my iPad case, and commented on how amazing the work was. I have a couple of yours from a pack I ordered a while back (the spray-cap Lion, and your winged lion head/eagle) and a couple from TenHun. I always love talking art so I was excited by the comment.
The she asked if I made them, and the self-depreciation set back in. As I was about to answer, she saw the on piece I did, an Animaniacs/American Gothic mashup, and started gushing how much she loved/loves the Animaniacs. We talked for a couple minutes about the show, and she commented how much she loved my sticker, and it really brightened up may morning.
Sorry for such a long-winded comment.
Today reminded me how close the art community can be, even if we never have, and probably never will interact in any way beyond online. Thank you for pouring so much of yourself in to your work in a way where we can see it, learn from , and grow with you. Much love, man!

Superlative.
Every piece: art, story, movie, commentary - elegant, engaging and fulfilling.
At the end of the movie when the title Blood Moon Cowboy appeared it was like a punch in the gut, knocking the wind out of me but so perfectly ending the tale, so wonderfully surprising and yet somehow obvious like the last piece of a puzzle falling into place, that i didn't realize i'd lost my breath until i gasped for air.
This series has been the most inspiring art journey I've ever seen, and has pushed me to dive head first into art with a much greater respect for storytelling, and the weight it carries into illustration.

You should maybe seal the mixed paints into a airtight container then add some GAC 100 to them to keep them from drying up.
