As a lifelong Zao fan, I couldn't be happier with the new music. These songs are even leaner than the last record and EP, and yet, somehow more complex at the same time. It's almost cinematic at times.
Zao was the first metal/hardcore band I listened to at 11 (self-titled and liberate) and I'm so stoked to see they are still killing it all these years later.
Props to whoever showed you this fine band and that album wow!!!💙🦾✨️
The lyrics to this song are phenomenal. Extremely vivid story telling that paints images or scenes that linger in your mind, if you let them. I listened to this song/watched this video earlier in the day, and couldn’t shake the lyrics. This is proof (to me) that Dan is one of the best lyricist within the modern metal genre.
The music is awesome as well. But, being that this is a lyric video, I felt compelled to throw out my opinion into the abyss known as “The RUclips comment section”.
P.S. I received my copy of this album today in the mail. It is, Zao in their strongest form, and their best album.

Zao has been my all time favorite band since my cousin first showed me the Self Titled album back in 2001. Not only is this song darkly heavy and ridiculously atmospheric, but the last half of this song may be some of the insanely best riffing Zao has done to date.

They were high on honey from the Lion's skull! Her mind aflame! The picture this song paints to me just articulates how our natural assumptions of who or what we perceive that defines "strenght" over "weakness" under circumstance we all vary between these opposites in life's transitional stages and leaves us with endless question on purpose and or what we think we know to be true. Or atleast that's my kick on this song & entire album. Zao dark as ever leaves silver lining peace that the rest of the band really captured in this. Just push play and experience this record I can't say enough about.
