    nice job! Although I'm not a fan of the purple I still think it was really nicely done.

      You can go with pretty much any color wash - or contrast paint for that matter! Which color were you thinking of going with?

    Dear Mike. I'm going to paint my first miniature. I've seen a lot of painted miniatures of Nemesis, but yours are the best. It looks quite simply and effective. If I can, I'll do the same 🤩

    Like that you don't make the intruders too dark like some other tutorial vids. Great color choices. Always my biggest struggle.

    Just for clarification: After finishing the teeth (the final area to paint), the entire model was sprayed with a satin varnish.

      Hey there, I'm not sure if intentional but the video is not listed, I just found it because I was looking through your nemesis playlist.

      Secret area discovered! :-D we have a fair few unlisted videos - our Patreons get access to them first as a perk. Then they get made public at some point in the future :-) well found though!

    I never thought to use a dropper for mixing the oils! that's such a simple but awesome idea. Does anyone know if this is just as effective for the paints or would they be too thick?

    • @WatchItPaintIt
      @WatchItPaintIt  Год назад +1

      Lots of people use them for paints also, though you will lose some paint. It sticks to the sides.

    What do I use for the initial cracks on the head? What product is it that fills in those lines on the head?

      In the video it was Liquitex Matte varnish - but milliput is the best option

    Whatd you think of nemesis. Ive been considering buying for me and my wife to play

    • @WatchItPaintIt
      @WatchItPaintIt  3 года назад +2

      Mike here - I personally really enjoyed it. I like there are 2 modes of play - coop and semi coop. In full coop mode you' have a shared objective, and once complete you beat the game. In semi coop you also have a shared objective, but everyone gets a random "secret objective" - so not everyone will win - just the people who complete their own objective. And it might be that you have to kill one of your teammates or sabotage the ship, or jump into an escape pod and abandon everyone :)

    How many layers of the purple wash did you use? It seems like 1 layer was enough for that shade. If you want darker purple you would add 2nd layer is that correct? Or do you just put nuln oil on whole queen at the end?

    • @WatchItPaintIt
      @WatchItPaintIt  2 года назад +1

      I only used 1 layer. If you added a second layer, then yes, the whole thing would get darker. If you DO want a darker color then i'd recommend using a purple contrast paint from Games Workshop, or a purple speedpaint from Army Painter. I think you'd get a cleaner look than adding 2 layers of wash.
