what could possibly be the cost for a $1000 bike exhaust.. they are not using anything on that exhaust that could cost that much.. you are just buying vacation homes for those who charge that much...
You pay for the documents that come with the exhaust. Those documents prove to the technical inspector that the exhaust is legal. And the 100 dollar exhaust doesn't have it.

I like them both for different reasons. I love the low tone of the real one, but the fake one sounds like an F1 car and I love that sound.
The fake ebay ones are great. Previous owner of my bike added one, and I kept it until a car hit me and scuffed it up.

I've always tried to preach how a lot of exhaust options for westerners is half marketing and half extra effort on quality+materials.
Having lived in southeast Asia for ten years now I've gotten to see the other side of the price spectrum and how people can make nearly identical stuff to the brand names while still achieving the same sound results (let's be real no one really cares about the 1hp gain from expensive stuff besides track people).
The technology of the systems are pretty simple. Header pipes are non-negotiable so follow the blue print, mid pipe allows for creativity, and end pipe should have fiberglass packing and a baffle. None of this is space age tech it's all really cheap for the people running the factories in China.
If you're chasing the sound it becomes absurd to choose a $1000+ usd full system when you can get within 90+% quality of sound with a $300 clone full system.
here in the philippines the fake austins costs 10USD hahahahahaha a full system would prob cost 100USD still cheap hahaha

Western goods they will be more expensive all the time.
They are so many equations between an original part made in West and the knock off made in Asia.
Knock offs are just simply copied, cheap labor, cheap materials, they don't spend money on research and design, they don't follow rough regulations, documentations, approves and all kind of stuff.
Of course all of this will reflect in the price of the goods that you are buying. Yes, maybe 1000$ full titanium system will sound absurd for you but when you buy 1000$ system you are guaranteed that you will buy the best quality available on the market!
Any fake exhaust seems to sound better than straight pipe or those radiant cycle shorty pipes😊
Can I just upmap it after or take to shop to tune the ECU for the exhaust?
Any ECU related stuff can be done later,bike will work just fine without flash 👊
@@wideopentrottle 😂Are you sure? I know bikes that have already been tuned will learn a new exhaust like if you change from a different exhaust.I didn’t know that a stock bike will just learn the new slip on or exhaust?K would still want to tune it because it will make the bike run really rich ?

How do you get that pop at the end of the rev?
The bike itself is doing that,it is caused by Secondary Air System (PAIR),in simple words bike is dumping fresh air in the exhaust in attempt to burn unused fuel and pass the regulations.

It is just a slip-on so no engine light 👊
It’ll throw a light regardless if authentic or fake. You need to add what they call a Servo Buddy then it’ll remove the light.
Fake sounds better but will it hold in the long run? even if not get 4 of them lol.

I purchased a set for my Hayabusa sounds amazing!. Until i install a full exhaust im leaving them on .

I just bought the ebay stubby to slip on my SC PROJECT exhaust that came with my RS660 EXTREMA. I absolutely hate that the EXTREMA came with a permanent baffle.
Both are great but a lot of popcorn effects in the original pipe

Very very close,in person you can hear the slight difference but nothing major.
He's short enough that there won't be much difference in performance, if he were long the resonance would make him sound different
The front part of the fake exhaust pipe is not accurate enough so I would go with the expensive one

Yes it turned blue buy it’s self,bmw bike are known for running lean and because of that they are pretty hot,after one canyon ride it is already turned bluish,do you have full system or just slip-on?
Awesome it has akrapovic headers and matched it with the Sc slip on. I haven't really pushed her in the Canyons yet buy I will she sounds amazing 😍

SC Project looks very nice in titanium and carbon but it is very overpriced, if you just chasing sound eBay copy is good enough.
Meh. Id rather spend the extra money for a nunber of reasons: im getting something i KNOW will fit perfect from a company who will honor their warranty. If i have questions or concerns about the product i can pick up the phone and talk to someone that speaks english...
I researched exhausts for my Z400 for months. The SC P was hands down the best sounding by a long shot off all the brand name companies i was able to find and have a listen to. I spent less than $1000 n got the full system. Couldn't be happier. Could i have spent less money and got a similar sound? Its possible. But i just prefer not to cut corners when shopping for parts and building project fars/bikes.
Most of these chinese knock off companies dont even have sound clips of their exhausts posted anywhere so that makes committing to those brands that much harder if you cant hear em first hand or in a video at the very least.
From a morality standpoint, it's pretty much a slap in the face to those better quality companies that spend the time and money doing R&D to then go out and buy the shitty knock off version. Not that many people care these days, but lets just say you developed something badass or something hella useful for a motorcycle and you wanna brand and market it, then a shitty rep company comes around copies your home work so-to-speak n sells YOUR hard work for pennies to the dollar. You'd feel some type of way i guarantee it.
I agree with all that you said,but you are forgetting something it is after all a piece of pipe,if sc project didn’t charge 1000 bucks for something that cost them 100 bucks the knockoffs would not exist.
And believe me everything you buy from china will fit as the original part because they are just cloning the thing.

At the end of the day, I paid a lot of money for my bike, I dont mind spending a little extra for brand name performance parts.
I will say though, $1k for a lil slip on can is EXCESSIVE, I wouldn't pay that just for a slip on.. I paid a little under $1k for the SC Project full exhaust w header for my 23 Z400. There isn't a better sounding exhaust for this little bike out there and I'll put money on that even though it's just my opinion lol.
If there is issue with the 50 dollars one, u can buy another 9 more before break even with the sc project.
Sc project charges a lot for a short slip On is only because they sell their brand, marketing department doing its job.
