  • In an Australian first, researchers at Perth Children’s Hospital (PCH) are collaborating with Edith Cowan University to develop a non-invasive urine test that will accurately diagnose asthma in preschool aged children. Currently, there is no effective way to tell if school-aged children have asthma or similar conditions that cause recurrent wheezing. The MAP-2 study is aiming to change that, with the goal of the research to enable earlier asthma diagnosis and safer, more appropriate treatment for wheezing children.
Watch on to learn more from Professor Andre Schultz, a Respiratory Physician at PCH and Project Lead. The MAP-2 study is proudly funded by Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation PCHF), thanks to the support of Pilbara Minerals.
