Fun fact my mom went to school with joe, she would walk to school with him.
Chara is a RFA, mabe Toronto could bring him into the Team of “ Wonderfully Splendid” and see how that would play out!.....👀😏👌👍 I would love to see a forward breaking over the blue line and looking up and there’s Simmons and Thornton!!!!!👀😝😂
I feel bad( not really) for those who punish themselves and resist being part of LeafNation, and it saddens me( not even Close!) that they take the time to come in and cry about the moves Toronto does.......👀😝😂 😂😂😂👏🍻
GO LEAFS!!!!🇨🇦
Ive always said, now you dont have a 3rd line and a 4th line, but 2 second line and a 3rd line.
Adding a joe Thornton could never be bad
I was hoping you put up a list of who goes to the Marlies if there is any
I feel like they'll TRY to move Engvall. There's also Barabanov to try and fit into the line-up! Granted he's a big question mark but seems like a good player.
1:23 I'm offically consider myself as death person. I died from laughter
Sharks fan here . Just wanted to say leaf fans you got an amazing player in Jumbo on and off the ice. He’s a legend. Last year when the sharks were beat up Jumbo became our 1C and was our best player until the break. A lot of sharks fans are going to be rooting for Toronto this year bc we love jumbo. Maybe Marleau will join him later lol. Good luck leaf fans and win it for Jumbo !
hey i have a question, where did the leafs get the cap space to do that
Johnson
A one year league min contract?
They have a few players they can move down to the AHL (Engvall, Vesey, Boyd, Sandin, Lehtonen) to reduce the cap hit .... and they have Robertson on a waivers exempt ELC .... and there might still be a trade (Kerfoot, Dermott, Holl?)
Will they move kerfoot for nothing to clear cap space leaving us with a bottom 6 geriatric who will be slow, injured then retire, after which the cupboard is bare all to facilitate Tavares? I think so. Very Dubas.
Arguably the best passer ever passing to one of the best shooters the CHL has seen 😂🤣
LOL Thornton had his first NHL point before I was even born 😂😂😂
Legend has it he was signed to get his beard back from the Toronto Maple Leafs Zamboni Driver
@@chad_b bahahahah...The tumble weed
What?
@@joelluke2070 Kadri ripped off Joe Thornton beard in a fight and they showed it rolling on the ice like a tumble weed.
@@5000ballsack no I get that but the connection to the Zamboni driver is a stretch
“Find a new joke!”
What are the leafs trying to do, lose the 2019 Western Conference Finals?
too soon?
You said Finals, tho.
After 24 years, Joe Thornton! I can see it already
He has hunger, something the leafs need
My leafs lines for forwards are
Hyman -Tavares - marner
Robertson - Matthews - nylander
Vesey - kerfoot - Simmonds
Engvall - Thornton- Spezza
@Farhaan Javed [Student] I didn’t put him cuz he isn’t signed yet
I quite like Vesey-Kerfoot-Simmonds
Marleau at the deadline!
Marleau-Thornton-Spezza
Steve: "I don't think there's such a thing as having too much talent on your roster"
2006 Canadian Olympic Team: Hold my beer.
I remember Thornton being drafted - it was the year I got married. That was at least a life sentence ago...
Im scared now u mentioning the Leafs and a Stanley cup? Idk I might miss the feeling of getting made fun of
Other people need happiness, not everyone can help.
Leafs have to do it now.
Could you imagine “The Handoff” part 2
I love seeing players going home when they have the chance. I'm a Habs fan, would be nice seeing Joe finally winning one. And I'd love to see the Cup back on Canadian soil! Keep up the great videos.
I like the makeup of this team. It's a good mix of new players, veterans, experienced veterans. Here's hoping for a best/better year.
Finallyyyyy, I was waiting foreverrrr😂
Steve hitting us with these mid-vid ads. Leo’s gotta go to college!
With a monetized account, I believe the ads are inserted automatically by RUclips. I don't think the creator gets to pick the time stamp for ads.
@@CanadaMatt nah I think they have the option to allow mid-roll ads
ive been saying this to all the wagon jumpers, he's here for the leadership! Steve, this one's even funnier than usual lmao!!!
Happy Leafs fans are welcoming him with an open heart. So fortunate to have watched him play and grow us. I fucking love and appreciate Joe as much as I do clean water. Also happy that he's getting a chance to play for his childhood team. Best of luck to you guys!
As a Torontian I have a hearty beard but will never match Joe Thornton's beard.
when he was drafted i was a couple months away from being born. lol. now i have a beard and im in my 20s. feel old?
0:48 Air Bud... Why am I feeling flashbacks from the loss against Carolina with David Ayres?
When I played street hockey as a kid (my family was too poor to put me in ice hockey) 15 years ago, I had a Joe Thornton curve stick I would use all the time. I hope I can find it in the garage at my dad's house and then somehow meet Joe Thornton and present him with that hockey stick and say "I used to play street hockey with your stick". I'm fucking PUMPED for this signing, even if he is way past his prime years
Hmmm I didn’t even think about tavares and Thornton winning a cup here together. That would be great. Thing is if you go back and look at winning team rosters you usually have a good bag of used to be superstar and up and coming superstars. Could this be that kind of team?
Maybe. Where's the D?
THE TORONTO MAPLE LEAFS HAVE WON THE 2006 AND 2007 STANLEY CUP!
I am a sharks fan, but next year I will root for the Leafs to win the cup, get it?
That punch part of the video literally made me LOL 😂
