My best friend in high school had a steel guitar and practiced every day and you could hear it from the open window in his upstairs bedroom a few doors down from my house. He got lukemia and was weak but found comfort in playing his steel guitar to the end. He passed away at 17 but I still hear him practicing. Your music brings back the memory.
WOW, I'm 57 years old and I haven't heard this song since I was a kid. I never knew the name of it, but the haunting melody always stuck with me over the years. Thank you.

Absolutely Brilliant. I do believe that one could take two nails and stretch a single string on an old log; and Doug Beaumier could play any song; and people would be amazed at the Heavenly sounds that came out of that log. This man is like few on earth. His music comes from talents that can NOT be learned. It is simply innate. I thank Jesus to give us a man like this that can play music no one has ever heard. Beautiful! My guitar teacher for one year (2018-19) when my wife taught at Amherst College and we lived in Amherst. Now we're back in Chicago. We love Chicago, but I miss those lessons with Doug in the basement of Downtown Sounds, Northampton MA.
