Love it! Just gotta recognise that we haven't paid any expenses like we never do to get an asset it instead appears in our assets on the value. Here in 2nd illustration, the amount being paid was for nothing and was just an expense thus recognised as an expense, then next year you got an asset since you paid an amount for that nevertheless the fact you'd not have gotten it if you didn't pay the premium. The access you paid for the asset was absolutely an expense. The asset is fairly recorded. I liked expense method better earlier but this makes quite a lot sense

It confuses me since it's a like future economic probable benefit like any asset the policy, so if I've been recorded an account in my assets representing policy, shouldn't it go down and bank go up? Now once it's been done, retiring partner could get the amount by decreasing bank balance anyways
