Mr Hunnings thank you for your informative content. Im in a unclear position at the moment regarding SQE2 exemptions.
Im working in a solicitors firm in UK as a fee earner for more than a year. Before that I worked as a case worker at the same firm.
I am a qualified Lawyer from a jurisdiction with 1 year mandatory work experience.
Do you think i can apply for SQE2 exemption with the experience i have?

Possib;y, but the SRA now seem to be wanting the post qualification work experience to be gained becuase of your qualification in your jurisdiction. Did they hire you becuase of that?

Thank you for your reply. After qualifying as a lawyer, I advanced to a higher position. I contacted the (SRA) to inquire about applying for an exemption based on my work experience in the UK. They responded, stating: “We consider work experience in the UK that has been gained in your capacity as a qualified lawyer and meets threshold standards.”
I can confirm that the nature of my job meets the standard threshold. However, I am unsure if they require a specific job title. So confusing

@@AurelaLela-j2v The job description is not important. It is the substance of what you do that counts. By the way, your supervisor may confirm, in their Letter of Reference, that they employed you becuase of your qualification as a foreign lawyer.
