Duncan reminds me of a big brother, always protecting the women he loves as a father and brother. and he always knows what to do no matter what happens
This was a beautiful episode. Grace Chandel has a sweet virtuous nature and Carlo Sendaro is a black-hearted scoundrel. No wonder Duncan fought to protect her from harm.

When a mortal kills an immortal the quickening is wasted ONLY if there is no other immortal nearby. If there is an immortal nearby it goes automatically to the nearest immortal, even if killed by a mortal.
How great was Duncan meeting Grace? He sensed another immortal and heard a woman screaming in pain. He rushed in planning to be a hero, and instead found a mortal woman in labor and an immortal woman delivering the baby. Hilarious.
You’re right Dan Ostrom it was hilarious! And i fell for it! i _was_ beginning to think “isn’t that screaming a tad bit EXCESSIVE?!” Starting to realize something was “off” ... But i NEVER saw that coming! Writers did a great job! 😁
Grace was an Immortal that never carrying sword. If she was an expert in tactics then she could faced evil Carlos Sendaro alone. Grace was an Immortal who wants to lived peacefully and never joined the Immortal's Gathering. I love Grace's character.
Oh yeah, the show made clear there are immortals who didn't want to participate in the Game and would rather have helped people and live in peace and the other end, bad immortals who never quite picked up a sword.
🤷♀️ Of all things, my favorite part of the episode is @21:42 when Richie successfully pitches the card into the bowl and: _AAAHH!!_ 🎉🥳 lol that was so adorable and i’m _convinced_ it was impromptu! i watch it over and over! 🤣
Damn, this episode was one of, if not the most EPIC episode in the whole entire show. Murder, Love triangle, crazy stalker X BF, traveling, war stories, police caper, sword action, life long friendships, trains, murder, mayhem, boats, subway chase, people getting shit, zombie BF, more chases, more Tessa and even Identity theft yo! Shit was off the chain 😳😳😳
It started out as an interesting concept. An immortal stalker shows up every century or so and wreaks havoc. Tessa handled her role like a champ. However it bugged me how many times Grace stopped them mid-duel... if you're going to MacLeod for protection then stop being such a victim! Carlo had no redeeming qualities so what was Duncan was waiting for?
In all honesty I’m surprised it doesn’t happen more often in universe from what we see male immortals out number female ones and this would be a lover you’d never have to leave or watch grow old it’s what lead Duncan to stab his wife to trigger her immortality in the endgame movie
It was beautiful when Tessa asked Duncan if he still loves her and he said no;and her character was so understanding about Duncan and Grace. Love is always the best thing there is ;and not just to push and force something. There's always compromises and ways around everything , as long as there's love. LIVE, LOVE, LAUGH! Life and Time is too short not to do things that don't light your heart up!
Yeah he seems to be forgotten about when fans discuss some of the tougher immortals. Unlike a lot of Duncan's opponents he didn't get forced back and put on the defensive for their fight. He stood toe to toe with him and was giving as good as he got, maybe even more so. His arrogance and wanting to torment Duncan seemed to lose him the fight more than any lack of skill or power.
Even after taking Grayson's head. Duncan met an equal opponent, Carlos Senadaro was an immortal on an equal footing in skill with Duncan. He only lost because he was careless and arrogant in the end. He almost defeated Duncan.
Wow the girl giving birth is more famous than the rest of these good actors...it is Marion Cotillard...a beautiful French Actress and Academy award winner.
I don't believe Duncan when he says no he doesn't love Grace anymore but I also know he's not the type to cheat. He knows he might run into Grace anytime in the future. But she is the one that left Duncan in the first place. I don't see these two together anyway.

Tessa was a true lady of class. She knew how to handle things. In comparison to Anne. Yes, both were different, but I found Anne annoying. Nothing like Tessa at all.
However when she encounters Duncan her and assumes he's there to challenge her she simply gives up and effectivley offer her head without a fight. What a wimp how she survived all this time without a male immortal to protect her I really don't know.

@chrismc410 Grace's entry on Highlander Wiki states that she is over 600 years old (200 years older than Duncan) and trained another Immortal (Kristen Gilles) so she can definately wield a sword if she has to. I assume she just couldn't find it in herself to kill someone she was once in love with despite what he had become.
Moreover, if she is a medical doctor and took some form of the Hippocratic oath, she may see it as her duty to "do no harm". (Which is my headcanon for why Methos stepped out of the Game, too.)
@@beth12svist Methos definitely took heads if his back was to the proverbial or literal wall. Hippocratic Oath or not. I'm guessing Grace would too if given no other choice
