Great Run. Only move that kept tripping me up was the 4 tentacle stabs, where the last one just slightly delayed. Took him way less time that regular odur though. Preferred using the mikiri counter for that critical at the end of his main combo, you get some really good jumping claw damage there
@@eleventyeleven old comment but in case it helps anyone else. It's actually super easy to do I'd say the time window is almost double that of the mikiri in Sekiro. The skill for the jump says dash towards enemy to do it. So just hold forward as you hit dodge. Tho, not sure if it affects it but I've been using the talent that increases parry window, so that may make it easier.
@@Woundedstork lmao i figured it out after a bit. I’m so used to just pressing O in sekiro but in thymesia you *have to* move forward too. But thanks anyway!
I have had no problem with any boss in this game especially with deflections, but for some reason I cannot for the life of me get his damn tentacles deflected. There's a weird off timing to them that are not consistent.
Good stuff I used a very similar strat. Just beat him with no damage, came to see if a guide needed uploading for others but yours legit. Only difference is I didn't use feathers at all, but used mikiri jump and fully upgraded ravens claw or w/e the flying one. Seemed a little quicker cause the flying claw just chunks his wounds.
recently beat this son of a gun. What helped me is, when he is disengaging i didnt run too close to him just a bit distance to provoke his tentacles attack. Parry them 4 times and give him a claw attack. Hope it helps, if you still havent beat him
@@misterteddylong thanks, im getting used to it but went for the second stage, btw, 2-1 boss is a joke compared to 1-1 or 1-5 boss, plays more like a souls and not a sekiro boss
@@titchyagain i just did chapter 1 till part 5. Dont know if there will be more parts. Right now i didnt touch chapter 2. For me it feels like sekiro but the parrying is frustrating with me. On top of that there are a lot of attacks to remember. Sekiro did great by putting new mobs on every new stage. Here it really feels like a circus lol. So many minibosses attacks mechanics etc

I cannot get the mikiri counters down. It says to circle right before the attack lands, and I do that, but then just end up getting hit anyway?

Odur is the weird kid who talks about how they’re containing the darkness within
Wow! Um, are there any game you feel are too hard Eso? Amazing skills!

I knew this was easy… wonder why is driving me crazy… great skills!

Can someone tell me how to avoid his red attack? I run away but the range&tracking are INSANE
This dude is good at every game he plays
Ye uploading only wins makes him a pro lul
After playing each one of these bosses 5 times, you can get their move set down pretty easy.
Every damn game..man!
I am absolutely loving this game beyond comprehension it is fabulous!!!
the only problem is the fps drops

are his combos mostly rmg or did you trigger it?
defeat him today..was pretty hard for me, cause he didnt stop jumping
I finally did it only took me two days
Bro you must have played Sekiro hard, those deflects are amazing
Bro the deflects in this game is easier than sekiro by alot
@@xgamerx6496Not really, Sekiro's are really forgiving and even if you miss them it still blocks anyways
@@Walamonga1313 not when it comes to end game bosses
he reminded me of gennichiro while the normal odur was like lady maria
This Boss is like everything that souls-born game bosses had (in terms of abilities) :D
I think harder than most soul-likes bosses, including ER. First phase was way more harder than mutated form.
Nice
I fought this guy too many times... WAY too many times
I'm just starting out.....I think I have a few fights in me on the horizon! 😬
Meanwhile, hes f****** me up, nice job

@@misterteddylong i think i feel u, it plays like a less polished sekiro, not bad but not great either
@@titchyagain Yes exactly!
boring cheese required no skill
Upload your skills, show us how easy it is.
i think u don t know what cheese is, how did he cheese him? he just parries his attacks.
