Robin Sylvester (1950 - 29 October 2022) was an English musician who was best known as a member of the American band RatDog. Although primarily a bass player, he played several instruments, including the guitar and keyboards, and did extensive arranging. Right there with ya, I hit the 2014 spring tour and never knew it would be time I would be following that group of guys around. It was a treat to get to see them all those years.
Me too! I was at this show and the show the night before. Bob went up on the balcony before this show and did a few tunes, before most fans were even there, so it was a real treat. Drove out to Indy and Louisville the following week to catch two of their shows and then we flew out to Colorado to catch them at Red Rocks ( 9 years ago today) and the Ogden Theatre 7/12/14 for what would turn out to be Ratdog's final performance 😢
I like slow subtle jamz as much as the next guy, but this seems like a subtlety contest. Are they opening for Mel Torme at the Fairmont? No visible Teleprompters 4 years ago...Kimock is a chained monster!
Steve is the only one to do it since Garcia passed that is in John’s league. The thing they both do well is bring their own style and ideas to the table. Obviously Sco is in their league; but it’s apples to bananas. Sorry to see John go. The guy served the music well and brought a lot to the table all the while earning less than he could have on his own. The guy checked his ego at the door and it showed ages b2b
@@Stonecrow25 I don't think John Mayer is done. My guess is that Bill Kreutzmann, and maybe Mickey too, has reached the age where he's done touring. The past two tours he's had to sit out from some shows for health reasons. I'm confident the other guys will keep going, just under a different name since it's easier from a financial perspective
I paid $12 to see the Grateful Dead at Olympic Arena, Lake Placid, NY 10/17/83. Similar prices all those Syracuse Carrier Dome and Saratoga shows through the early 80’s. I remember when the Hartford shows went north of $30 and how I preached, “It’s so worth it”.
Jeff at his finest in my opinion. thanks for sharing this. man I miss Ratdog
This was Ratdog s final tour. It was a good one. Steve is just so fluid they were tuned in on this one. Jeff is Awesome.
Steve is amazing

I was there ..love Steve with Bob. it seems so fluid and easy

Never knew. Sad. Amazing Bass player. Loved him after he came in after Wasserman.
I saw some of this tour. Steve knocked that one out the park.
Caught RatDog in a high school auditorium back in '95. Glad to see they are booking better venues. ; )
Miss Rob and his upright....what great musician. Gets nice, weird and interesting in the last moments of clip...
Much Love!✌
I miss Ratdog still

And another singer, who could play harp. ( Bob can't sing every song )

I like Bob's Clamdiggers!
hmmm... wonder what ticket prices were back then?
I saw them at 5 Points Music Hall... very small venue... I think we paid 16.50 for each ticket

😎💘😻💩👻☠️❤️
that's not Joe Russo on the drums, I'm disappointed
Tim Lazar and why isn't JM on stage...
because this is not Dead and Company
I was expecting Joe also.
@@carrico504 Because Kimock plays Jerry's parts better
