      We’re arguing over an inch or two for 2 people nearly or over 7 feet. The point is this kid is somewhat significantly taller than KD. Not like 3/4 of an inch or something. He’s the different between someone being 5’8 and someone else being over 6ft. So it’s a meaningful difference. And with a very comparable skill set, including much better rim protection. It’s pretty easily the most promising package of skills anyone has seen since Lebron with in high school.

    People don’t realize the difference between him and guys like Bol or Chet is that he’s actually built PROPORTIONATELY. Most guys that height have a small torso and longer legs which not only makes you clumsier/harder to control the ball, but also more chance for injury. This guy on the other end is deadass built perfectly. That’s why he seems to be in so control with great footwork. Not only that, but you can obviously tell he has the frame to bulk up. What’s scary about him is that at age 18, he really has a solid guard skill set and he’s 7’4” 😂 and he looks comfortable??? Shit is crazy.

    And old heads who are stuck in 80s-90s don't think basketball has evolved since then. WHEN THE FUCK has anybody seen a player 7'4 with guard skills and be able to PULL UP for threes? You got guys like Embiid, Jokic, Kat, KP (iffy one I know), KD all 7 footers, most not even from America, who can score from anywhere on the court. That's what makes the game and gives players so much space so people don't really think defense isn't being played, NO. Players are just better now and have more space to work with. Its easier to guard players when the court spacing is so tight and players just wanted to shoot middys and drive to the cup. There'd be 3 people in the paint on offense, no shit it looks like people were playing great defense when the offense is so limited

      @@theetruth8626 was basketball not always like that? Why else would the celtics and lakers have so much more championships than the rest of the league? Because most of the stars & HOFers were one those two teams. They had the most good players. Does that mean the other players on other teams suck? No, they just didn't have enough good players to compete with them. Pride does not make you a better basketball player bro all it does is make you a loser (Dame, Beal, Barkley, Malone etc) and you know all of those are fucking hoopers, they just ran into better teams, or didnt have a championship caliber roster, that's all. But now the league has way more stars and the skill gap is so big, if a player has just one weakness, teams are going to scheme and exploit the fuck outta that weakness. With the limited skillset back then, weaknesses couldn't be exploited as much because teams all shared the same weakness lol why do you think there's way less players that are 5'10 and under? Because they will get abused on defense and now you got 7 footers with guard skills who can do what they do. You can say you're not a fan of the new gen, but the fact that there is more talent and skill nowadays is irrefutable. Aint teams in today's NBA getting away with doing coke and partying all night before a game cause hoopers are strictly hoopers nowadays. One thing I think he’ll need to get used to are the ‘hands’ of NBA players. He’s like 70% legs, so his dribble is quite high, super easy to pick pocket especially since he doesn’t have bulk to physically fend off the defender in the mid court and outside the restricted area while he is dribbling.
    I think a zone + just physicality off the ball would work quite well against him as a result. Players like Embiid, Draymond, Bam, AD, Steven Adam’s - they can probably make his life more difficult. Kristaps also kind of maybe neutralizes some of his unique physical traits, esp because he can kind of play perimeter D against him maybe if he plans for it / they scout the kid that way.
    Ultimately his high dribble and his physicality are his two only weaknesses. 1 is completely fixable.

    My goodness 🤦🏽‍♂️this kid is too damn tall to be that skilled. It’s insane. You can’t guard him. It’s impossible. He doesn’t seem clumsy. Regardless of his weight, his height will be the key factor. The league is becoming more athletic. Don’t be surprised when there’s another MJ, LeBron, Or KD playing for the league. He’s legit giving me 99 overall 2k my player vibes 😭😭

    Ok watching him drain 3s changes my entire perspective on him. Even Durant can’t shoot 3s like that. I’d put him in a 2 center offense with the other center being a big thick guy to take up space and rebound. Keep him on the outside to shoot over everyone since the opposing side won’t probably use two 7 footers. He’s dangerous because there’s so many possibilities you can use with him. Def #1 pick and will be exciting to see. Hopefully he’s not as injury prone as his past has shown though….

    Houston Rockets are kids Green, Smith and Sengun only 19 to 20 years old so they will very likely be bottom 3 in the West and have top 5 or 6 odds to draft Wembenyama. If Rockets get him 2024 they probably won't win a title their first with him but 2025 with year 4 Jalen Green and Sengun, year 3 Jabari Smith and year 2 Wembenyama will be the scariest young core in NBA history and favorites to win it all. And even scarier is next summer they will have likely be top 5 in cap space with the ability to sign anyone that's available because they'll all be on rookie contracts.

    • @Desi365

      Sengun is... worrying. I mean, he's got real talent but he shows so much mental frailty, it's scary. He seems fragile and emotional. That doesn't make great bb players in general. If i was Houston GM, i would part ways with him asap...

    I have watched Metro92 in their last 3 playoff games, and it's almost like these aren't even the same two players. Maybe he is trying to not get injured, and miss out on his payday (understandable). Or maybe he is trying to get his teammates exposure since he is already set for the draft. But he surely isn't giving more than 50% effort.

    BIG Player Wembanyama

  • @aubsen9704
    @aubsen9704 Год назад

    The rim needs to be raised to 11ft in college and to 12ft in the NBA. Players are much taller, bigger wingspan, jump higher, etc. This causes some players to nearly hit their head on the backboard and or rim which is a safety issue. Raising the rim will also help restore dignity to the game. Good players would once again have to be good shooters. Some are so tall that they can't really perform a jump shot (even a free throw) correctly on a 10ft goal.
    With much bigger players today, there is less available space for passing, shooting, dribbling, etc. Therefore, even the overall size of the court should be increased as well.
