I ran an entertainment company and had similar problems with staffing for events. One thing that did help was we started building in an extra couple of hours or so in the pricing for one of the staff to start and end their shift with who ever was managing the event that day, starting/ending at our warehouse and riding with in the van. Omg huge difference… help loading the van, navigating load in and parking, help driving back and unloading. I’m considering starting a mobile bar biz in FL and will use a similar model.
@@brockrylander3401 I’m new to Daytona. I meant that I do special events bartending and catering too occasionally but my dream is to become a mobile bartender and travel all over. People love me and it’s a lot of fun😀😀😀😀😀😀
I’m also a mobile bartender that’s just now starting out here in Birmingham. I’ve been bartending for about 2years an when I say I love your videos.. they have taught me so much and I’m still learning.
I completely understand, and I have this same conversation with myself everyday and after every event. I'm thankful for my team but they don't do extra but want extra
Girl I just came across your videos and started my mobile bartending business 3 years ago and I can 100% relate to all your headaches! ugh its SOOOO much work that people do not see. but all the positive feedback I get from people after every event makes it worth the headache.
Hiii new subbie here!! I love your transparency in this video! I just finished up with bartending school. Interested in starting my own mobile bartending business in the future. Wishing I was still in ATL because I would love to work for you. Just based on this video, I love your structure. Just know you're definitely not asking too much when you have an expected standard for your business. You are so inspiring and I encourage you to "keep your gin up"!! You've got this girl!! ❤️🥂❤️
I was thinking “what am I doing?” After this weekend. Birthday party Saturday and wedding reception on Sunday. I was beyond tired. And to make things worse, I got sick from it. If it’s not one thing it’s another. All moving parts impossible to predict. For the first time since I started my mobile, bartending journey, I thought of quitting… Fuck that! If it were easy, everyone would be doing it. And a lot of people are starting their business, but I think it’s people with high standards great quality cocktails, and their own personality that makes the bar mobile service stand out from the rest and out Last them. Keep your head up, we’ve got this!!
Hey 👋🏽 the reason you got yourself a new subscriber (me) 😁 is because of your realness. But pls don’t give up!! 💪🏽 You got this. It seems like this is something you really wanted but don’t have much help, if I lived closer I would apply! But keep it up & best wishes!! ♥️
Hello, I am a new subbie!!I am planning to start a bartending business this year. I am so glad that I came across your channel. This is the second video that I have watched and I am already learning. Thank you so much for posting videos like this for aspiring bartenders who want their own business ❤️
one recommendation for the "signature cocktail" have it printed for each station so they can at least reference it seeing as they can't read (eye roll). Also making the base (no alcohol) of the signature cocktails in batches could be more efficient for you and less time consuming for service.
I’ve been batching mixer since forever! Designed it so all bartenders have to do is add the alcohol and garnish. I’ve done everything in my human power to make things as simple as possible for people but oddly the math still isn’t mathing. I’ve also printed the recipes for people to simply glance and follow. Even after sharing the recipes via email prior to service for them to “study”
I wish ATL was closer than 4.5 hours, I would love to help out! I’ve been in F&B for over 10 years between serving and bartending and have been wanting to get into mobile bartending. It definitely is hard work, and harder to find hard workers! Best of luck!! ❤
I so wish you were in the UK as I would love to partner with a mobile bar business! Just wanted to say thankyou for all of your videos. It's so nice to know that other mobile bartenders face the same issues. I had 4 staff when I started and now I've redesigned the business to fit around just me taking on events. I do a mix of small community events and then mainly private parties. Priority this time has been making profit as a solo bartender before I even consider staff again.
It’s funny you say that. I just switched to structuring my business around myself too. It’s too much trying to teach + depend on other people. Trying to scale and manage multiple events is nice income wise, but it’s simply not worth all the effort + stress for me. 🥂
I love your videos! You inspire me, you’re doing great 😊 ❤ I just saw that this video came out on my feed and I can’t wait to have a little break in the day and look at it 🤩
Hey girl! Just a heads up your button for the links to our mobile bar, glassware, and more. Isnt working mostly because I need to know where your menus are from! They are so cute and where the bar that you used for the wedding is from.
Seriously, I appreciate this so much and thank you for thinking of us mobile bartenders (those who have businesses already established and those establishing their businesses). These are things I wish I had known a year ago.
I’m also a perfectionist and I worked for a luxury resort brand and the standards were supposed to be everything. They were for me and they still are! I’m worried that I can’t find quality people because most of the hospitality industry now has young workers that could care less. Any thoughts on this?
I could go on and on about this! Stay tuned because I mentioned a bit about it in an upcoming video. For me, I learned that I have to work in my business to make sure the standard is maintained. I can’t just be the owner and leave the responsibilities of the event to other people.🥂
Hi. I now have a link available sharing a list (with links) of where I purchased equipment, materials, + supplies for my mobile bartending business. It includes my portable bars, drink ware, + more. square.link/u/ZwCUbDae
lol… people aren’t raised with any standards anymore. If you really want to know why it’s so difficult… there is so much more to unwrap to answer the question. It’s a factor in business for sure though.
Happy you enjoy them! I'm linking what I can in the description of the videos. Here's a list of commonly asked materials and supplies. Click what you need and it'll take you to Amazon. ugc.production.linktr.ee/49e0e219-a56b-4b2b-af80-7c6ed12b6a8a_Shop-The-Video.pdf

What part of Florida? That’s why I do for special events now.

I'm impressed! I love the setup it looks so refreshing and almost antiseptic as well just very clean. Did you make your own mixers for your cocktails.

I would like to learn how you set for events and pros and cons of it.
Oh great. There are a few videos already up on that.@@stopit41
