    Excellent information and presentation. Love the high yield facts. You say more in in 26 min than all other 'experts ' say in a 2 hr podcast.
    Keep it up

    Glad I came across this channel. Your style is very different than most "science based" channels. You keep things interesting but concise. Video quality, narration, and animations are truly top notch. Easily deserve way more subs.

    This is a significant amount of work put into each video. Hopefully you're eventually rewarded with a large audience. So many crap channels with large sub counts.

    38 years bbtraining, I wish I knew it earlier.It makes you very sensative to Insulin.It is the only way to grow big muscles without the use of drugs."The Pump" is the answer.(Short time traing, "moderate to light" weights.Cause and effect , this is how it worked for me.

    I think the 3rd priming hypothesis you discuss has legitimate merrit, but I would like to throw in my own conjecture;
    Miofibular hypropherphy/packing is a result of asorbition caused by scaroplasmic 'hyperophic priming.' Scarcoplasmic growth occurs when the body floods water and nutrients around the miofibulars (causing the scaroplasmic swelling phenomenon) to allow miofibulars to absorb nutrients/grow/pack themselves in response to tension being applied to them. It's the bodys reaction to applied muscle stress, preperaing the fibers so they can better handle future loads applied to them....
    1. Apologies if I spelled anything wrong
    2. This is just observational hypothesis based off some of the data and studies you reviewed!
    Cheers and I love these videos. Keep up the superb work

    You use glycogen during lifting it drops the water weight but it comes back after a meal or two. Timeframe for a full replenishment of glycogen is 24 hours. It’s why water is essential part of the recovery of the muscles.

    You must do a video about pump. Is pump help hypertrophy? You conclude that 2-3 sec rest between compound exercises is the best but with this rest the pump is less than 1-1.5 sec rest. So pump doesnt matter? Is it a myth that if you do many many reps at the end of an exercise for pump increase hypertrophy through blood flow?

    Wonder what would happen if you trained high volume for a few months to expand the sarcoplasm then trained low volume for a while to fill in the contractile tissue, might force breakthroughs in a plateau situation

    Maybe Myostatin blocks the fibers from growing thus creating sarcoplasmic hypertrophy(temp), until the body decides it needs to grow larger permanent fibers? Probably Priming, right ? As to how this relates to increases in strength, from my best understanding strength is a neurological adaptation not necessarily related to muscle size. 🤷‍♂️

    • @HouseofHypertrophy
      @HouseofHypertrophy  3 года назад +3

      The more myofibrils you have in your muscle fibers, the stronger the muscle fibers would be, so strength isn't just related to neural factors (there also are other factors).

      @@HouseofHypertrophy I know doing alot of Volume doesn't create strength gains. It just fatigues the muscles (good for hypertrophy) and can fatigue the central nervous system. Strength seems to come more from not exhausting the muscle entirely.

    Many study claim that more than 20 hard set per week diminished muscle or performance . And after watching ur video , sarcoplasmic hypertrophy need more volume . But how much high volume ?. And plz give me sarcoplasmic hypertrophy program (volume , weight, set , reps, which split )plz bro I subscribe your channel when ur subscribers are only 50🙏

    • @HouseofHypertrophy
      @HouseofHypertrophy  3 года назад +2

      As far as I'm aware, there's only one study showing diminished growth with more than 20 weekly sets (pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/32058362/). Bear in mind, it was only less growth at one region and similar growth at another region.
      Furthermore, there are more studies finding 20+ weekly sets enhances overall muscle growth:
      1) pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/31868813/
      2) www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6303131/
      3) pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/28755103/
      In the video, we defined high volume as 21 or more weekly sets for a muscle group. See the studies here: 12:30
      To train for sarcoplasmic hypertrophy, you may just want to be performing 21 or more weekly sets for your muscle groups. Currently, this is the only recommendation that can be derived from the research. Moreover, as expressed in the video, this suggestion is still from from definitive.
      Also, thank you for your support :)

    What would the health benefit of Sarcoplasmic hypertrophy be ?

    • @HouseofHypertrophy
      @HouseofHypertrophy  3 года назад +5

      Interesting question! I'll try my best to answer it. Firstly, If sarcoplasmic hypertrophy is priming (which as we noted in the video is very speculative at this time) more myofibrils at some point is advantageous for strength (which is more or less never a bad thing!). Secondly, although I'm no longevity expert, I think there is a reduction of energy components within the muscle fibers as you age. Thus, if sarcoplasmic hypertrophy is driven by an increase in energy generating components (like sarcoplasmic proteins involved in glycolysis), this may be useful for dminishing (or maybe reversing) age-related loses of such components. Bear in mind, all of what I just said is pretty speculative, haha

      @@HouseofHypertrophy I like the idea of Priming. I was told muscle burns fat for as long as I can remember. So, if Sarcoplasmic hypertrophy isn't really muscle fiber ...how would it help in this area ? Also, Glycogen is what causes the burning feeling, correct ? And this also the same as the pump ? So many questions 😂

    • @HouseofHypertrophy
      @HouseofHypertrophy  3 года назад +3

      Muscle can use fat for energy, but this isn't related to sarcoplasmic hypertrophy as far as I'm aware. Glycogen does not cause the burning feelng (I believe it is the build of up hydrogen ions (lactic acid is a myth)) and it is not related to the pump (which is enhanced blood flow and fluid to the muscle).

    High volume training dosent only induces sarculeme increase .. how is that even make sense .. every budy who try it he will see a diffrences in how much weight they carry if compared with their begining status .. and its not smothing related to neuralmascular improvments as it is even limited to how much muscle they have even power lifterts knows that .. i my self saw a increase in how much weight i work with in all muscle groups .. i mean its true that it happens " sarculeme hypertrophy " in high volume training as it make sense cuz the body is in a position where it needs more energy and endurance as high volume training usaly do .. but myofibrillar hypertrophy also happens as a signe of improvments in weight lifted in the gym .. not as it said that it only increase the sarculem and the fluide of the muscles .. thats My opinion and im intrested for your response .. how dose it sounds ?
