Great footage and editing as usal. Cozumel is such an amazing dive destination. I sorry and quite upset at whatever issue you had at the airbnb, glad you had friends to lean on. Good people for sure. Safe travels 😊
Cavern/Coz? Yes! Had my first trip to Cozumel and the Yucatan last October. Can't wait to go back! Did not get to do the Throat. Sorry to hear you had to deal with a creeper. You edited this well. I appreciate accentuating the positives and cutting the drama.
I'm sorry to hear about your unfortunate experience with an elderly creep. Whilst we all age and are human, that does not excuse inappropriate behaviour. I'm glad that you were able to extract yourself quickly without further complication and get on with the important matters at hand, namely diving Cozumel. I love the footage on this Vlog. I wish you well on your upcoming trip.
I wouldn't be so quick to judge and I'd like to hear the story from this man's perspective. Unfortunately we live in a time where people tend to overreact a lot, gaining victim status is very beneficial and guys are getting MeToo-ed left and right. Getting just one side of the story is not enough to get the full picture.
There hundreds of operators here in cozumel, honestly. You should ask companies that offer small groups and separate divers from different levels. If they don't offer that, just don't go with them. Trust me. Is a nightmare to try to follow a group of experienced divers if you're not experienced. Cozumel has several options, about difficulty levels, so, you don't have to go farther than your level. Good luck 🤞
Sorry about the creeper dive buddy! I did the Devil’s Throat in November 2023. First time diving that site since I was 15, and only 2nd time in my life. It was the best dive of the trip, and so memorable. The footage brings back some memories, all good ones! Thank you!
I'm very glad you're back. I've been watching some of your 3 year- old- video and I liked them very much. When you metion your losses and gainings, believe me I´ve been there too, mainly to what concerns to boose but life goes on with a new insight of life.
WOW, that was some great footage! Those fishes, and their colors...and YOU stay safe out there, damn that was a nightmare! Glad you are in a better place now! Cheers!
I loved this video. Instructor that worked in Cozumel for the past 4 years and I keep coming back to this special island (plus to see Laura and Tavo as well). Sorry to hear you didn't have a great experience with an AirBnB on the island such a shame to see that and hear about those odd people sometimes! Loved how you filmed it all and made me feel right back at home!
Thank you so much! It actually wasn’t the Airbnb owner, I realized after I posted this video that I didn’t make that clear. Someone else ‘hosted me’ and made reservations. Anyway, I’m glad you enjoyed it. Cozumel is a very special place. Always fun to go back there💙
I dive Cozumel twice each year, simply because it has some of the best sea life and underwater topography (and easy to get too, but it is getting overcrowded with more divers, even though I usually stay well south of town to get away from people). Great underwater videography!!
I hate to hear that you had a bad experience. Cozumel is such a beautiful place with wonderful people. I see that you visited Blue Angel! That is my favorite dive center, the restaurant is wonderful, and the staff there is amazing! I will be taking my first group trip there this year.
Sorry to hear about your experience there. Dogs truly are stress relievers, aren't they? This place looks spectacular, and I love the angles you used in taking the videos.
Thanks for sharing Love Cozumel and Cenote diving! Been doing this combo for a few years now. I stay in Playa and if the port in Cozumel gets closed due to weather, we always have a backup plan to go cenote diving

Sorry to hear you had problems. Love your videos. Did I see you diving single side mount? I have a bad back and think that would help with getting on and off the boat. Thanks for making your videos.
Love the baby spotted drum. Lovely video that reminds me it's only 8 weeks to my first Caribbean dive of 2024; can't wait! Shortie wetsuit, 85F water and S63 instead of drysuit, cold, zero vis and 31 litres. Trying to get my head around why anyone would think you might put up with that sort of BS. At least you had a back-up plan available. Stay safe Sarah.
I likely wouldn't be going on a dive expedition anytime soon, but my two cents based on places I've been looking at diving: Cozumel, Bonaire, Tulum, Hawaii (Big Island), somewhere in Australia, or New Zealand. Things that are always a consideration outside of the dive budget: Is the plane ticket reasonable for the distance, and how affordable and spartan the lodging will be (I can be a princess at times). Like I want to go on cool dives, but I do like to be comfy at the end of the day.
That really sucks about the experience but glad you were able to stay safe. I am curious as to why you chose to rock a single side mount when rec diving?
My first dive trip was to Cozumel and on one of the dives, the divemaster took a few divers down deep to check them out to go to Devils Throat the next day. I had actually forgotten about that dive. Now, many years later I see why they wanted to do that dive
I ❤ Cozumel. So jealous you got to do Devils throat. On my last trip is it was a choice between Devils throat and the Cenotes and I picked Cenotes. I need to go on the Devils throat on my next trip to Cozumel

Like others have commented, first and foremost glad that you are safe! That's a pretty miserable situation that can easily spoil a trip. Amazing footage from this trip, and we love diving in Cozumel! It's a quick direct flight from Houston, so we usually make the trip at least once a year if not more. Southwest just announced that they are stopping service for this route though, so very sad about that. Not looking forward to the Cancun, bus, ferry route, or switching to a more expensive airline. BUT! We would love to dive with you there and it's possible to do tec dives on Devils Throat too to get extra bottom time or to try and do a double site drift dive ;)
I’m so sorry to hear of that inappropriate advance. Looks like the sea treated you well though🤗. I’m headed back your way Cozumelwith my wife who I’m introducing to that island and diving. I’ve been 27 times myself and as much as I try I can’t find another place that rivals it for cost, ease of access and beauty. Once my wife gets more comfortable in the sport I want to branch out though. We hit you up in the future for a new experience. Great vids and happy travels.
1st time viewer here. Great video footage. I did scuba a few times yrs ago, and I've been interested lately in the tankless units with long hoses. If I had funds, I would join you for adventure under the waves!! You're living a cool life style. Be safe. From Florida...
Been to Cancun, and Cozumel, no plans to go back. Crime was rampant, even in the 'tourist' areas. I never felt safe walking around and Im a 6'6" 270lb guy, who in Mexico, isnt even allowed to carry a pocket knife, much less something I could defend myself or family with. The diving is nice, if you get a good boat crew, but not worth the trip. I did find it slightly ironic that you talk about the improper advances made toward you while filming yourself (apparently) topless on the bed in your room. Hope you continue having fun.
There are several places but is not recommended go by yourself because there several boats in the area (fast boat are dangerous if you have a problm and have to be in surface) The nicest reef are located far from shore, so you gonna need to swim 15-20 min to go and 15-20 min to come back (swim in the surface is dangerous, even if you use an smb)
There are definitely shore diving sites but I would hook up with a Divemaster there to show you around. I didn’t get to dive that area so I don’t have more info to share.

i wonder what devils throat would look like during a night dive....what creatures you would see....probably dangerous and no one would guide it but i still wonder having done a few night dives in cozumel
Thanks for sharing! I'm so sorry you had to experience that nonsense from a disrespectful person. It's not hard to notice you are a beautiful woman, but respect and honor, and maybe a little separation between business and personal matters, would have done him a lot of good. As always I look forward to seeing more of your adventures, you are an awesome inspiration to a beginner diver like me. Thank you for being you!!!!
I've watched a lot of your videos and honestly, I think your underwater footage here is some of your best work. Yes the wildlife and location is spectacular, but it was your composition, framing and editing that really took it to the next level. Loved how you timed the video sequences in some spots to the flow of the music. I hope you are really proud of it! The Devil's Throat is NOT for me! Good to know 😅 Sorry about your negative experience with the AirBNB host. I hope you gave feedback about it. Stuff like that makes me just want to deal with a good ol' fashioned hotel (or motel on my budget haha).
Hi Sarah (spelling...?) sad to hear about the old guy lecher... Jerry Seinfeld doesn't like old guys either... Laff... Notwithstanding, I watch a lot of dive vids and this one is one of the better more polished dive vids I've seen on YT... You're easy to listen to... I'm AOW and have not dived in years because of no nearby dive spots but your vid keeps me inspired... Nice kit BTW... I've been away much longer than I thought seeing your side tank... I'm mostly a rec diver 10M is about my max... I prefer free diving/spear fishing... I understand you getting away from alcohol... My issue too the reason I swim 1000/day and practice breath exercises to get to FL/Bahamas someday to do some diving... Cozumel does look inviting to say the least... Good work and Fair Winds...
Thank you for your support. I'm glad you are able to experience diving through the videos. Keep up the good work. Hope we can get you back in the water soon.
I love your sobriety story I’m workin on kicking the booze again living in lake havasu it’s hard haha nothing but parties on the water daily here but I’m over that life I just want peace now
Its sad to hear of bad experiences which seem to be more common on Cozumel. People need to be called out in my opinion. The perp probably does this all the time....The island has grown and with that brings more bad apples. The diving is still some of the best in the Caribbean. I enjoy watching videos from Cozumel, see who I know......and test my underwater knowledge of what reef you are on. If you ever see a splendid toadfish in the months of feb, march, look very close inside their den. Thats the months you can see their little babies hiding. At night , they come out of the den to feed and easier to see. Keep up the no booze, your body and mind will definately be happier.
Beautiful images ❤. Sorry to hear your bad experience with your "host". Hopefully next time you will have more time to know more dive sites. Nos vemos 👋
Looks amazing dive wise! I travel alone almost always (Billy No Mates! 😂). I have taken to mentioning a husband that is working e.g. at the embassy in Jakarta or wherever and that he will be meeting me in a couple of days…..I also invent imaginary children in many parts of the world……I don’t like lying about anything, but when it comes to my comfort / safety, we’ll it’s not too bad! Am off to Lembeh (again) tomorrow ! Take good care and imagine old Lothario wearing a baby-gro and nappies! Ridiculous creature!
Yeah I sometimes create stories about a partner or family/friends traveling with me. It’s always case by case because I’ve also had incredible experiences with people who know I’m solo traveling and want to shore me around or hook me up with the local scene.
Thank you for sharing this experience of your zero tolerance approach to unwanted advances from men. I’ve dealt with this in the diving community as well. And although it’s mostly been the exception, they are out there and they do need to be sent a strong message. I’m so happy that you did that. The more times women say ‘that’s not acceptable’ the more others will learn to do the same. I glad that you left with your head held high and that you had some amazing freaking dives, girl! Thanks for sharing. You are an inspiration. Love the content, your journey, and the honesty.
Taking a group to Cozumel in April 18-25 2025. Let’s team up. Iberostar. Dive talk was there and had a blast. All the great dives are right outside the hotel. 5-10 boat dive. Free Nitrox.

Great editing! I plan on diving there for the first time later this year. Do you have any dive operator or site recommendations for beginners?
I’ve had great dives with Aqua Safari. I’m not sure I would call Cozumel beginner friendly. Try and get some dives done “locally” before coming.
Look up behappy.diving and palomaunderwater on Instagram. They were both excellent guides

Yes it was! Say hi to all the fish for me when you visit😁
Some of your best dive footage ever
Aww, thank you so much!
Quick question do you have a compressor setup in your van and if you do, what kind? Great video!

Is the Sony Camera what you also use when you go diving? If not what camera do you use? I am trying to find a good camera to get for diving.
I use the Sony zv1 and it’s good for the price point but there are definitely better uw camera options. In general Sony is great. My biggest complaint with this particular camera is the short battery life
Hi I just subbed. New to scuba diving. What camera do you use or suggest I use for my dives? Thanks in advance!
Thanks for the sub! I use the Sony ZV1. Honestly, I would suggest concentrating on diving first and getting better as buoyancy, trim, and air consumption before adding any task loading like taking video or pictures. Did 6 dives in Cozumel! The wall and the wreck are awesome
Yes they are! Glad you got to experience it👏
hi. just curious why you chose to go single tank sm instead of doubles? i like doing single sm when traveling as well.
Simply for ease of donning and doffing gear. I wasn’t doing complex dives and was diving with a group of people, so I didn’t need the extra gear.

It's not hard to notice you are a beautiful woman, but respect and honor, and maybe a little separation between business and personal matters, would have done him a lot of good. As always I look forward to seeing more of your adventures, you are an awesome inspiration to a beginner diver like me. Thank you for being you!!!!
Thank you for your kind words and support. Keep diving and learning!!
In response to your kind inquiry regarding an expedition with any sort of caverns, “Oh hell to the yeah!!!” 😂
Good to know! I’ll start planning it😁
I've watched a lot of your videos and honestly, I think your underwater footage here is some of your best work. Yes the wildlife and location is spectacular, but it was your composition, framing and editing that really took it to the next level. Loved how you timed the video sequences in some spots to the flow of the music. I hope you are really proud of it!
The Devil's Throat is NOT for me! Good to know 😅
Sorry about your negative experience with the AirBNB host. I hope you gave feedback about it. Stuff like that makes me just want to deal with a good ol' fashioned hotel (or motel on my budget haha).
Thank you! I won’t share got many hours I spent editing this one😆😆 I’m so grateful you enjoyed it 🥹💙
What a shitty experience. I'm sorry you had to deal with that.
Thanks for the wonderful scenes. It looks great. Would you pick Cozumel over Indonesia?
Nah, Indonesia is up there with the best, but Cozumel is a hell of a lot easier to get to from the US.
I love your sobriety story I’m workin on kicking the booze again living in lake havasu it’s hard haha nothing but parties on the water daily here but I’m over that life I just want peace now
I understand. Working in tourism is the same. There are online communities and resources that have been clutch in my journey. You got this💪
I'd love to join you in Cozumel.
Cool! Sign up for my email list and you’ll get a trip announcement when I figure it out: eepurl.com/dupACr
Aaaahhh I might die if I see a baby splendid toadfish. Need to go back 🥹
Thanks for sharing captain Sara
Sorry for your trouble with that stupid (not man) at all😊
Thanks. Happy to share 🙏
Beautiful images ❤.
Sorry to hear your bad experience with your "host".
Hopefully next time you will have more time to know more dive sites.
Nos vemos 👋
I look forward to that too! Thanks for watching
Lots of marine life to see … good no silt got stirred up in devil’s throat …
I was with a great group of divers!
Sorry you encountered that. No one needs that.
Thank you for your support!
@@AzulUnlimited exactly, case by case and using gut instincts ! Safe travels!
So sorry you had a negative experience with your host, how awful. I hope you are able to leave a review & protect other women from the same.
Thank you for your support!
Nice video, shame about the Air BnB experience, report them
Thank you so much for your support!
😥😢
These things happen🙃

Thank you for sharing this experience of your zero tolerance approach to unwanted advances from men. I’ve dealt with this in the diving community as well. And although it’s mostly been the exception, they are out there and they do need to be sent a strong message. I’m so happy that you did that. The more times women say ‘that’s not acceptable’ the more others will learn to do the same. I glad that you left with your head held high and that you had some amazing freaking dives, girl!
Thanks for sharing. You are an inspiration. Love the content, your journey, and the honesty.
Thank YOU 🥹 This is the kindest message 💙
👍😎🤿!!!!
💙🫶
Sorry, mate. That's gross.
Yep! Onward and upward💅
Taking a group to Cozumel in April 18-25 2025. Let’s team up. Iberostar. Dive talk was there and had a blast. All the great dives are right outside the hotel. 5-10 boat dive. Free Nitrox.
Sounds amazing but I’ll be gearing up to take a group to Socorro then 😁😁😁 have fun!
